Kent Students’ Union

We are the Students’ Union for University of Kent students. We’re here to support you on your journey from the moment you choose Kent to graduation and beyond. Celebrating our 60th birthday this year, we’re proud to have been there for students since 1965.

We’re a registered charity, completely independent from the university, run by students for students, and it’s our job to support you during your time here and make sure your voice is heard. The student Officer Team, elected by students each year, represents your views and leads the way on campaigns, projects and decisions that matter to you.

Alongside lobbying and campaigning for student rights, we help facilitate 250+ Student Groups, a free on-campus Advice Service, and run The Venue, Woody’s, Campus Coffee, Co-op and Kent Clothing. Follow us @kentstudentsunion to see what we get up to.

It’s never too late to get involved! Come to the Welcome Back Fair in the Sports Centre (Main Hall) on Tuesday 20 January 2026, 10:00 - 15:00, for your second chance to discover sports clubs, societies or volunteering opportunities.
