About Me

I am a PhD student in Computer Science at Old Dominion University, passionate about advancing the field through innovative research and practical applications. My current focus lies in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Eye-tracking, and Data Sceince research areas. I aim to contribute to the evolving landscape of computer science. In addition to my academic pursuits, I am also interested in networking, building partnerships, and I look forward to collaborate with eye-tracking and joint attention research. I am open to summer internships(2026).

Bio

Ms. Kumushini Thennakoon is a PhD student working in the Neuro-Information Retrieval and Data Science (NIRDS) Lab and Web Science and Digital Libraries Research Group under the supervision of Dr. Sampath Jayarathna. She earned her bachelors degree from University of Peradeniya Sri Lanka and joined Old Dominion University in Fall 2023 to pursue her Graduate degree in Computer Science. Her current research interests are web archiving, web science, social media, and data science. Before joining Old dominion University she worked as a Temporary Lecturer in department of Mathematics in University of Peradeniya. She enjoys playing badminton, swimming, and hiking in her leisure time.
