What We Do

At Light Integration Technologies, we bridge the gap between laboratory-grade performance and scalable deployment. We are developing a multifunctional photonic platform that combines fiber-like optical propagation loss with a robust, manufacturable integration of best-in-class materials. This includes III-V semiconductors, lithium niobate, piezoMEMS, liquid crystals, and optical phase-change materials.

By integrating lasers, amplification, detection, modulation, magnetless isolation, switching, memory, and electronic beam control onto a single, scalable chip, we provide the PIC foundation for the world's most demanding markets. From quantum hardware and AI infrastructure to consumer electronics and defense, our technology is engineered to ensure that as your demand grows, your supply chain remains robust.

Where We Work

With teams in Santa Barbara, CA and Seattle, WA, LIT utilizes extensive nano- and micro-fabrication, packaging, material and device characterization, and test facilities at two world-leading institutions in materials science, optoelectronic and electronic device research, and nanofabrication - the Nanofabrication Facilities at both University of California Santa Barbara and University of Washington.
