So in February, we focused on speed, smarter AI workflows, and expanding creative possibilities inside WDesignKit.

From performance upgrades and improved AI template imports to new Bricks widgets and fresh template kits, here’s everything we shipped this month (and a few things we’re quietly building next).

🔥 Highlight of the Month

Smarter AI Template Import

This means smoother imports, faster generation, and fewer adjustments after adding templates to your project.

So instead of spending time fixing layouts, you can focus on building and customizing faster.

🚀 Product Updates

We rolled out a few important improvements to make WDesignKit faster and more reliable.

Key Updates

We’d genuinely love to hear it. Just reply and let us know what could make your workflow even smoother.

⚡Quick Win

One of our users recently shared:

“It feels like building with LEGO for a million-dollar website. The widgets look premium, customization is easy, and the site still runs fast.”

We love hearing how WDesignKit helps creators build faster.

😉 Did You Know?

You can build your own custom widget in WDesignKit and use it just like a native widget in Elementor, Gutenberg, or Bricks.

Your widget can still support dynamic controls, styling options, and visual editing directly inside the builder.

Perfect for developers and freelancers who want more control without losing the visual workflow.

💡— Quick Tip of the Month

Your Homepage is Not for Everything.

A common mistake? Trying to show everything on the homepage.

Instead, make it do just 3 jobs:

  • Say clearly what you do
  • Show proof (work, testimonials, stats)
  • Guide visitors to the next step

Too much content = confused visitors.
Clear structure = more clicks, more trust.

✨Use AI Template Import in WDesignKit to start with structured layouts instead of blank pages, it helps you focus on the right sections, not unnecessary clutter.

⚙ — Tool of the Month

Remove.bg

Removes image backgrounds in seconds. Super useful for hero sections, product cards, team sections, and creative layouts without needing advanced photo editing.

💬— Word of the Month: From a Power User

Great resource and amazing support

I highly recommend the WDesignKit as a resource for building an attractive, engaging website.

An excellent range of templates and widgets all backed up by an ultra responsive and effective support team.

Here’s just one recent example. I wanted to build a calculator to highlight the potential monetary and environmental savings of switching to reusable freezer/fridge bags. Having seen a calculator widget in the WDesignKit, I copied some examples from their library and got to work on tailoring to our requirements. The bare bones calculator was created in less than 30 minutes. I had some issues around tailoring the formatting to match the look of our website and reached out to the Support team. “Wow!”, they were very fast to respond and successfully addressed all my immediate issues (eg 2 decimal places after currency, pre/postfix font sizes etc).

I can also recommend The Plus Add-ons for Elementor from the same company. These guys really understand their offerings and are genuinely eager to improve their products and satisfy their users.

December 2025 Updates: New AI Features, WordPress Updates, 100+ Elementor Widgets & More! https://learn.wdesignkit.com/blog/december-2025-updates/ https://learn.wdesignkit.com/blog/december-2025-updates/#respond Mon, 12 Jan 2026 10:36:05 +0000 https://learn.wdesignkit.com/?p=7938

This month, we focused on polishing the experience and adding features that make everyday work with WDesignKit smoother and more predictable.

Here’s what’s new:

  • Smarter AI Kit Import
Importing AI-ready kits is now more refined and reliable, helping you get started faster with the right setups.
  • Filter AI Compatibility
You can now easily filter templates and kits based on AI compatibility, so you always know what works with what.
  • Clear All Filters (Finally!)
One click, clean slate. No more manually resetting filters when you want to start browsing fresh.
  • Gutenberg Core Builder
Building with Gutenberg just got more structured, making it easier to manage layouts and core blocks.
  • Widget Update Feature
Update widgets without breaking your flow, small improvement, big time-saver.

While these improvements rolled out, we’ve also been laying the groundwork for what’s ahead. And yes, there’s a lot happening behind the scenes.

On the plugin side, we’re working on:

  • Better version handling for code snippets
  • Using code snippets smoothly inside Workspace
  • A built-in PHP editor inside the Widget Builder for advanced use cases
  • AI chat inside the Widget Builder (currently under evaluation)

On the server side, we’re preparing:

  • Widget Builder running directly on the server
  • Separate pages for license activation and credit details
  • Code snippet compatibility on author page

This is all part of a bigger effort to make WDesignKit more reliable today, and ready for what you’ll need tomorrow.

❤— What’s New in Widgets

🌟 — What’s New in Templates

Have something you’d love to see in WDesignKit?
We’d genuinely love to hear it. Just reply and let us know what could make your workflow even smoother.

📰 — Community & Industry Updates

  • WDesignKit has reached a small but meaningful milestone with 100+ Elementor widgets now available in the library.
  • Elementor 3.34 Developer Update focuses on advancing Editor V4 with atomic design principles, introducing Nested Tabs, Entrance Interactions, and core system improvements for better styling consistency, layout control, accessibility, and performance. Editor V4 features remain experimental as it’s still in Alpha.
  • Google has begun rolling out a new feature that allows users to change their Gmail address while keeping their existing data and services. The update appears first on Google’s Hindi support pages, indicating an initial rollout in India or Hindi-speaking regions.
  • Google has released its Year in Search 2025 reporthighlighting the actors, movies, athletes, games, recipes, and travel destinations that drew the most interest throughout the year.
  • WordPress has opened a feedback call for the 6.9 release. The community is invited to share thoughts on the release cycle, process, and team via a short form (open until January 15, 2026). All feedback will be anonymized and used to improve future WordPress releases.
  • Gutenberg 22.3 introduces a new Fonts page for easier typography management, improved image editing with persistent crop and zoom, and a responsive Grid block for creating layouts across devices, along with several bug fixes and enhancements.
  • Google has filed a DMCA lawsuit against SerpApi, alleging the company bypassed protections designed to prevent automated scraping of Google Search results and licensed content.
  • WordPress 6.9 “Gene” has been released as the second major update of the year, introducing new features such as Notes, the Abilities API, an option to hide blocks, and several other improvements.
  • AI as a WordPress Fundamental: Jason Adams outlines a vision where AI becomes a core part of WordPress, similar to the database itself. With AI integrated into hosting plans and supported by tools like the WP AI Client and Abilities API, developers can easily build features such as auto-generated alt text, images, and intelligent workflows.
  • What’s new in Gutenberg 22.2: This update introduces video embeds for the Cover block, improves the Breadcrumbs block, and adds new styling options for the Math block, along with several other enhancements and bug fixes.
  • WordPress to return to three major releases in 2026: Core committers shared plans to move back to three major WordPress releases in 2026, with the first expected around March or April. The roadmap includes features deferred from 6.9, such as template activation, the Tabs block, and client-side abilities for the Abilities API.
  • WordPress AI Team announces first public release of AI Experiments plugin: The WordPress AI Team has launched version 0.1.0 of the AI Experiments plugin, marking the first public step in testing AI-powered features before they are considered for WordPress core. This plugin is part of the AI Building Blocks for WordPress initiative introduced earlier this year.

💡— Quick Tip of the Month

When importing templates, start with sections instead of full pages.
It gives you more control, helps you mix and match layouts faster, and keeps your designs flexible, especially when working on custom client requirements.

A simple way to build smarter without redoing work.

⚙ — Tool of the Month

Coolors

When you’re starting new projects or refreshing old ones, picking the right color palette can take more time than expected. Coolors makes it quick and easy to generate, tweak, and save color palettes that actually work. A simple tool that’s great to have bookmarked as you plan designs for the year ahead.

💬— Word of the Month: From a Power User

I just love it! It is like Building with LEGO for a Million-Dollar Site!

I just love it! It is my new everyday helper for building websites, that are REALLY stunning. I don’t want to rave about WDesignKit, but I can’t do anything else 😉 I’ve tried many page builders and widget kits, but this one really stole my heart. It’s easy to use and their widgets are just gorgeous – the kind you usually see on really expensive templates. You just pick one, drop it in, design it from scratch or choose a pre-made design (that you tweak a bit, changing colors or sizes) and it looks perfect. I built a landing page that looks like gold, and I haven’t even used half of the goodies I could find in their repository! It honestly feels like playing with the nice looking LEGOs, where you have fun whilst working and you can unleash your imagination. And, what surprised me, my site still is decently fast. I thought that so much stuff packed in one tiny web-space would slow it down, but NO. And their support is amazing, too. You know you are in good hands with them. I hope they stay operational in this tough market as long as I live and breathe.

WDesignKit in 2025: A Year of Growth, Stability, and Real Product Progress https://learn.wdesignkit.com/blog/2025-year-in-review/ https://learn.wdesignkit.com/blog/2025-year-in-review/#respond Tue, 30 Dec 2025 05:15:24 +0000 https://learn.wdesignkit.com/?p=7814

We don’t usually stop to look back.

But 2025 felt worth pausing for.

At the start of the year, WDesignKit had just over 7,000 users. By the end of 2025, it grew to 32,000+ users, with more than 25,000 new users joining along the way.

That growth didn’t happen by chance.

2025 wasn’t about chasing shiny features. It was about making WDesignKit more stable, more flexible, and more useful for the way people actually build WordPress websites.

Here’s everything we built, improved, and shipped in 2025.

A Year Focused on Stability and Scale

As WDesignKit grew, so did the responsibility to keep things reliable.

Throughout 2025, the focus stayed clear:

  • Strengthen core workflows
  • Improve performance and reliability
  • Reduce friction during imports and conversions
  • Polish the overall user experience

Every update shipped this year was driven by real usage, real feedback, and real needs.

Version 2.0: A Key Milestone

The release of WDesignKit v2.0 brought together many of the year’s biggest improvements in a single, major update.

We also shipped features that reduce manual work and unlock new workflows:

  • AI-Powered Kit Import: You can now generate AI-based descriptions for template kits and select images using AI, then directly import the full kit, making onboarding and setup faster than ever.
  • Widget Update Feature: If you already use older widgets on your site, WDesignKit now shows an Update Widget option whenever a new version is released, so your widgets stay updated without rebuilding from scratch.
  • Gutenberg Core Widget Builder: A brand-new Widget Builder designed only for Gutenberg Core controllers, allowing you to build Gutenberg widgets without requiring Nexter, giving more flexibility to Gutenberg-first users.

These updates focus on saving time, reducing friction, and supporting different ways of building with WordPress.

Widget Builder Improvements

The Widget Builder received continuous upgrades throughout the year to make widget creation simpler and more predictable.

Widget Builder Updates

  • YouTube video tutorials added inside the Widget Builder
  • New controllers introduced
  • Section-level edit options added
  • AI Support switcher enabled in selected controllers

  • Include & Exclude options added to the Browse Filter
  • Presets added for Nexter, The Plus Addons & SHe

Behind the scenes, WDesignKit’s infrastructure also evolved to support scale.

Server Updates in 2025

  • Server 2.0 rollout
  • UI/UX enhancements
  • Code Snippet option introduced

Introducing the 1-Click Widget Convertor https://learn.wdesignkit.com/blog/introducing-the-1-click-widget-convertor/ https://learn.wdesignkit.com/blog/introducing-the-1-click-widget-convertor/#respond Wed, 25 Jun 2025 06:57:55 +0000 https://learn.wdesignkit.com/?p=4617 Build Once. Use Anywhere.

Tired of rebuilding the same widget over and over for Elementor, Gutenberg, or Bricks?
We hear you. That’s why we built the 1-Click Widget Convertor, a time-saving feature inside the WDesignKit Widget Builder that lets you instantly convert widgets between major page builders.

No more duplication, no more frustration. Just design once, then reuse across platforms.

Built for Agencies, Freelancers, and Multi-Client Creators

If you work with multiple clients using different page builders, you’ve likely faced this problem:

  • A widget built for Elementor needs to be recreated in Gutenberg
  • A block you created for Bricks is now needed in Elementor
  • And the cycle continues…

With WDesignKit’s 1-Click Widget Convertor, you can convert your custom widget or block to another builder in seconds—without rebuilding from scratch

How It Works – Just a Few Clicks

The 1-Click Widget Convertor is available only for widgets created inside WDesignKit. You can’t import external widgets or third-party code, only those built with the WDesignKit Widget Builder can be converted.

Here’s how PRO users can use this feature:

  1. Create a widget using the WDesignKit Widget Builder for your preferred builder (Elementor, Gutenberg, or Bricks).
  2. Go to the “Widget” section. You’ll see two options:
    1. My Widgets – Widgets you’ve created
    2. Browse Widgets – Ready-made widgets by WDesignKit
  3. Under My Widgets, select the widget you want to convert.
  4. Click the “Convert” button.
  5. Choose your target page builder (e.g., convert Elementor widget to a Gutenberg block, or Bricks element to an Elementor widget).
  6. WDesignKit will instantly generate a converted version of your widget, optimized for the selected builder.
  7. Make any final tweaks and either use it on your site or save it in your Cloud Workspace for future use across projects.

⚠ Note: Widget conversion is a PRO-only feature. Free users can build and use widgets, but conversion between builders requires a PRO plan.

Why This Feature Matters

  • Save Hours of Work
No more rebuilding widgets manually across builders. Design once and reuse.
  • Keep Design Consistent
Maintain a unified brand style across all your clients’ sites, regardless of builder.
  • No Coding Needed
Built for creators of all skill levels. If you can use the widget builder, you can use the convertor.
  • Future-Proof Your Workflow
Switch builders anytime without worrying about losing design progress or having to start over.
  • Cloud Workspace Integration
Store and reuse your converted widgets through WDesignKit’s Cloud Workspace. Collaborate with your team or clients, organize your assets, and import them anytime.

Who Should Use the Widget Convertor?

  • Agencies juggling multiple client websites with different page builders
  • Freelancers who want to work faster and avoid redundant tasks
  • Designers & non-tech users who want flexibility without diving into code
  • Anyone looking to break free from page builder lock-in

Common Questions

Will my widget’s design and functionality be preserved?

Yes, about 90% of the design and logic will carry over. Some advanced controls may behave slightly differently depending on the builder’s capabilities, but your core structure will remain intact.

Are there limitations?

Only when certain controls aren’t available in the target builder. WDesignKit smartly maps relevant controllers, but a quick review is always recommended post-conversion.

Can I convert widgets with custom code or advanced logic?

Absolutely. Our builder fully supports HTML, CSS, JS, and custom controllers. You’ll get the same seamless interface even when working with custom-built widgets.

Your Feedback Shapes What’s Next

This feature was built based on real-world feedback, and we’re not stopping here.

More enhancements and conversion options are already in the works. If you try the Widget Convertor, we’d love to hear what worked well and what could be even better.

🚀 Ready to save time and streamline your workflow? Try the 1-Click Widget Convertor and see how WDesignKit helps you build once and use everywhere.

📰 Community & Industry Updates

  1. Elementor introduces Editor V4 Alpha, featuring a CSS-first framework with reusable classes, responsive style controls, improved performance, and a unified styling system aimed at streamlining the website-building process.
  2. Sticky Header Effects (SHe) plugin is now part of POSIMYTH Innovations, known for features like shrink headers, background transitions, transparent headers, and logo color change, enhancing scroll-based interactions in Elementor.
  3. WordPress 6.8.1 Maintenance Release Now Available, fixing 15 bugs across the Core and Block Editor. This update addresses issues in multisite, the REST API, and block editing.
  4. WooCommerce has partnered with Square as its preferred solution for in-person payments, enabling seamless syncing of inventory, orders, and customer data across online and offline stores.
  5. WooCommerce 9.8.3 is now available, fixing issues with scheduled actions for product transients and postcode field validation in the Checkout block.
  6. Google has lowered the minimum size for Customer Match lists in Search campaigns from 1,000 to just 100 users. This change allows smaller advertisers to access advanced audience targeting capabilities that were previously limited to larger accounts.
  7. Google asserts that its AI-powered search generates more “qualified clicks,” even as many publishers report declines in website traffic. However, publishers have no access to data to verify these claims, and while organic traffic is down, ad performance reportedly remains stable.
  8. Google has rolled out Smart Bidding Exploration, its biggest bidding update in over 10 years. This feature helps advertisers discover untapped conversions by expanding eligible queries—without requiring changes to audience targeting.

Introducing the WDesignKit Widget Builder https://learn.wdesignkit.com/blog/introducing-the-wdesignkit-widget-builder/ https://learn.wdesignkit.com/blog/introducing-the-wdesignkit-widget-builder/#respond Fri, 23 May 2025 11:03:46 +0000 https://learn.wdesignkit.com/?p=4519 Build Once. Reuse Everywhere, No Coding Required.

Building custom WordPress widgets used to mean juggling plugins, writing custom code, and dealing with scattered backups. After years of creating websites and talking with agencies, we noticed a recurring pain: creators needed a unified, easy-to-use system to build and reuse widgets across page builders, without relying on developers.

So we built it.

The WDesignKit Widget Builder brings powerful customization tools, ready-to-use components, and a Cloud Workspace together in one smooth platform. Whether you’re working with Elementor, Gutenberg, or Bricks, creating consistent, professional widgets is now faster than ever.

Why We Created It

From Code Overload to Creative Control

Before WDesignKit, something as simple as a testimonial box or donation banner often required:

  • Editing child themes
  • Writing HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
  • Managing version control
  • Constant switching between tools

The Widget Builder removes those barriers with a clean drag-and-drop interface designed for both non-coders and advanced users, so you can build without friction.

One Builder, Three Ecosystems

Works With Elementor, Gutenberg & Bricks

Instead of building different widgets for every page builder, WDesignKit lets you create once and deploy across:

No matter your preferred tool, your widgets stay consistent, customizable, and fast to implement.

Skip the Start-From-Scratch Struggle

Use 170+ Ready-Made Widgets, Blocks & Elements

Need something that just works out of the box? The Widget Builder includes a growing library of pre-built components:

These are organized into intuitive categories like:

  • Essentials
  • Creative
  • Marketing
  • Animations
  • Tabs & Sliders
  • Media Layouts
  • Listings
  • Miscellaneous

Each widget is built with design best practices, responsive layouts, and simple customization options—so you can tweak and launch in minutes.

What’s Next?

More Power. More Flexibility.

We’re just getting started. Our roadmap includes:

  • Widgets for advanced use cases (booking, scheduling, dynamic content)
  • Enhanced integrations
  • Performance improvements
  • More design categories and builder support

Our mission is simple: make WordPress widget building enjoyable and efficient, for everyone.

Ready to Build Smarter?

Explore the WDesignKit Widget Builder and start creating your own custom widgets today.

  • Browse 170+ pre-built widgets
