Enable OpenAI
To use OpenAI, you need to enable and configure it in LearnPress settings. Path: LearnPress -> Settings -> OpenAI -> Enable OpenAI
Turn on this option to enable OpenAI in LearnPress.

OpenAI Secret Key
Secret Key: Enter your OpenAI Secret Key so LearnPress can connect to the OpenAI service. Secret keys can be generated from the OpenAI management page. Do not share your secret key with third parties. If your key is compromised, generate a new one and update it in your settings.

Text Model Type
Select the AI ​​model to generate text content, including: Course Description, Lesson, Quiz Questions and Answers.
Recommendation: ChatGPT 4o Latest.

Image Model Type
Select the model to use for creating illustrations for the course content.
Recommended: GPT image 1

Frequency Penalty Level
Adjust the level of restriction on AI repeating words or ideas.
Low value: natural content
High value: stronger restriction on repetition
Default: 0.0 (No Penalty)

Presence Penalty Level
Encourages AI to generate more new ideas and content.
Default: 0.0 (No Penalty)

Creativity Level
Sets the creativity level of AI content.
Low value: serious, academic content
High value: more creative content
Default: Very High Creativity (1.0)

Max Tokens
Limits the maximum number of tokens per content creation.
0: unlimited
Higher values ​​allow for longer and more detailed content creation
Suggestion: 3000 – 4000

Click Save settings to save all OpenAI configurations. After enabling OpenAI, you can use AI when:
Creating courses.
Creating lessons.
Creating quizzes/questions.

Create a Course with AI in LearnPress

The AI Course Builder allows you to quickly generate a complete LearnPress course structure and content using artificial intelligence (OpenAI). Click Generate with AI to open the AI-powered course builder.

The AI ​​Course Builder for LearnPress screen will appear.

Step 1: Course Goal

Define the course goal and audience so AI can tailor the generated content.

Role / Persona: Defines who is creating the course so AI can adjust tone, expertise, and perspective.

Target Audience: Identifies who will take the course so the content matches their background and skill level.

Course Objective: Specifies what learners should achieve after completing the course, guiding AI to generate outcome-aligned content.

Click Next to continue.

Step 2: AI Settings

Configure how AI generates course content.

Language: Sets the output language for all generated course content.

Tone: Controls the writing style to match your brand and audience.

Reading Level: Determines content complexity based on learners’ comprehension level.

SEO Emphasis: Determines how strongly AI should optimize content for search engines.

Target Keywords: Lists keywords AI should integrate to improve SEO performance.
Click Next to proceed.

Step 3: Course Structure

Define the LearnPress curriculum structure.

Sections Number: Defines how many main sections/modules the course will include.

Lessons per Section: Number of lessons in each section.

Quizzes per Section: Number of quizzes per section.

Questions per Quiz: Number of questions per quiz.

Click Generate Prompt to generate the AI prompt.

Step 4 — Prompt Generated

The prompt is auto-generated based on previous settings.
You can edit it to add specific requirements or adjust content style.

Click Generate Data Course to continue.

Finally, simply select Create Course to complete the process.

Create title courses using AI.

With just a few clicks, similar to the title course, you can create a detailed scientific description using AI.

Generate Course Sections Curriculum

Additionally, you can create Featured Image courses using AI.

Add the required information about your image so the AI ​​can create a suitable picture.

This is the result of a course created using AI.

Note: When you create questions in the “Questions” section, you need to assign (assign) these questions to the “Quiz” section for them to be displayed in the test.

1. Create a question

To create a new question, you can go to your Dashboard => LearnPress => Question => Add A New Question. You can see in below picture.

2. Question Interface

On the quiz creation page, there are two main sections:

1. Overview

• You can enter a description or introduction to help students understand the content and requirements of the quiz.

2. Questions

• This is where you create and configure the question types for your quiz.
• Here, you can select the question type, enter answers, mark correct answers, and set points, hints, or explanations for each question.

3. Quesion Options

Here you can select the type of question you want to create, then click on ‘Create Question Type‘ to create

Don’t forget when you’ve finished creating your questions, click’ Publish’ to save them.

3.1 True or False questions

Used when the question has only two options: “True” or “False”.

How to create:

• In the Config Your Answer section, select True Or False → click Create Question Type.

• The system will automatically create two options: True/False

• Select the tick mark in the Corrects column for the correct answer.

• Enter the number of points in the Points box (e.g., 1 point).

• (Optional) Add Hint or Explanation.

3.2 Single Choice Questions

For multiple choice test with 1 correct answer.

How to create:

• Select Single Choice → click Create Question Type.

• Enter the options in the Answers section.

• Tick in the Corrects box of the only correct answer.

• Enter Points (e.g. 2).

• Add Hint or Explanation if needed.

3.3 Multi Choice Questions

Used for questions with multiple correct answers at the same time.

How to create:

• Select Multi Choice → click Create Question Type.

• Enter a list of answers.

• Tick on all correct answers.

• Enter a score (e.g., 3).

• (Optional) Enter a hint or explanation.

3.4 Fill in Blanks Questions

Students fill in the answers in the blanks instead of choosing the answers.

How to create:

• Select Fill In Blanks → click Create Question Type.

• Enter a question with blanks, using the …. symbol to mark the blanks that need to be filled.

• Enter the correct answer in the box below and highlight the word that needs to be filled in the blank and click ‘Insert new blank‘ to mark that word as the word that the student needs to fill in the blank

• Enter your score and other information.

Note: When you create questions in the “Questions” section, you need to assign (assign) these questions to the “Quiz” section for them to be displayed in the test.

In the Quiz section, you can add previously created questions by clicking Question Bank, selecting the questions you want to use, and then clicking Add to insert them into the quiz.

• Visit ‘LearnPress > Gradebook > Student Overview’

• Click ‘View’ on any existing user you want to check for the Gradebook. This will display the courses the user is enrolled in.

Click on the course you want to test to see the specific score results for that course.

Export CSV: When you select this button, your downloaded CSV file will only include the following fields: Course,”Start date”,”End date”,Progress,Status

View Chart: This will list the courses the user has enrolled in.

• Visit ‘LearnPress > Gradebook > Recent Activity’

You can enter the date, course name, user name and select Status to see which courses the user has completed and which lessons, quizzes,…

You can go to LearnPress -> Settings -> General -> Currency.

Next, go to LearnPress -> Settings -> Payments -> Instamojo. See the photo below.

If you have not adjusted the currency you will see the message “The site’s currency is not supported by Instamojo and the system only supports Rupee currency. Please change the currency here”. Click here to go to currency change.

Fill in the required information. Go to Instamojo and create an account (if you don’t have one yet).

After purchasing a LearnPress Add-on, sign in to your ThimPress account, go to My Account -> click “Dashboard“. You will see the Purchase code for the add-on you purchased earlier.

• Order: Order number.
• Product: Product name.
• Purchase code: The product code that is used to install and update add-ons on your website. Each purchase code is limited to one website.
• Site URL: Assign your site URL to configure your website in the purchase code.
• Expire: Expiration time of support and upgrade licenses.
• Download: Download add-ons as .zip file with different versions.

Next, please copy your website domain name -> paste it into “Site URL” -> click “Save” to configure your website in the purchase code.

After assigning your domain name to “Site URL“, copy that “Purchase code“.

Next, you need to find the add-on that corresponds to that purchase code by going to your Dashboard -> LearnPress -> Add-ons -> All -> Install -> Paste “Purchase code” -> click “Submit“.

You can check if the add-on has been successfully installed by navigating to LearnPress -> Add-ons -> Installed.

Update via purchase code

The purchase code is also used to update the add-on. There are two methods to update the add-on: When installing the add-on via purchase code and when downloading the .zip file.

Method 1: Update the add-on when installing it via the purchase code.

• When buying and installing the LearnPress add-ons via the purchase code, you need to go to LearnPress -> Add-ons -> Update -> select the add-on and click on the “Update” button.

Method 2: Update the add-on when installing it by downloading the .zip file

• When buying and installing the LearnPress add-ons by downloading the .zip file, go to My Account -> Dashboard -> copy and assign your website domain name to “Site URL“.

• After assigning the domain name to “Site URL“, you need to copy that “Purchase code“.

• Next, go to LearnPress -> Add-ons -> Update -> find the add-on to update -> Click “…” -> Paste ” Purchase code” -> click “Submit“.
• After successfully updating the purchase code -> Click “Update” to update the add-on.

• After installing the plugin successfully, click “Activate Plugin” and you’ll get the notice about the plugin being successfully activated.

• The plugin is now activated and ready-to-use

Note: When you have purchased and used ThimPress themes such as Eduma, Coaching, IvyPrep,… you can install free add-ons by going to Theme -> Plugin -> Add-ons -> Install Now.
