Charles Ellingsen: The company SuperDiode is a merging of two companies. I worked in “Superlys,” a lighting design company, and Jan Martin started “Diode,” a laser company. He’s also been doing video and media serving for many, many years and SuperDiode was launched last year when we started working with the ZacTrack tracking system.

Jan Martin Vågen: The reason we started a separate company was to be more organised in business terms, especially since working with tracking systems and media servers requires substantial initial investments, which are easier to manage with a separate company.

Gwidon Wydrzyński: We started the studio with Szymon a few years ago. To be honest, I don’t actually recall the exact year.

Szymon Płotkowski: I believe it was 2018, and we began under a different brand. However, three or four years ago, we rebranded to Mech Creative.

Gwidon: In the beginning it was just the two of us with Szymon, but in 2020 Jakub joined our company and he’s now one of the key people in the company.

This expansion of certified professionals was significantly boosted by the successful completion of two Advanced LightAct training sessions held in Germany earlier this year. The first session took place in Köln in March, followed by another in Frankfurt in April. These intensive training programs provided attendees with in-depth knowledge and practical skills to leverage the full potential of the LightAct ecosystem.

Participants in both sessions received comprehensive instruction covering the entire LightAct system, including the flagship LightAct 4 software, the essential Manager application, and the WebUI. Furthermore, the training included demonstrations of LightAct’s servers and computer vision solutions.
Adding to this momentum, LightAct is pleased to announce another Advanced training session scheduled to take place at the end of May in Slovenia. This upcoming session will further contribute to the growth of the LightAct operator network.

A key highlight of the Advanced LightAct training sessions is the comprehensive curriculum, which ensures that all attendees achieve certification in all four LightAct Operator levels: Essentials, Advanced, Tracking, and Projection. This multi-faceted certification equips operators with the expertise to confidently handle a wide range of projects, from amazing live events to immersive interactive installations.
