The role

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this is a critical leadership role responsible for end-to-end supply chain performance across Link.

You will lead our global supply chain ecosystem — including contract manufacturing, procurement, production, inventory planning, warehousing and international logistics — ensuring strong supplier performance, supply continuity and excellent customer fulfilment outcomes across all markets.

This role leads a team of direct and indirect reports and is a key enabler of Link’s growth strategy as we continue to scale globally.

 

What You’ll Do
  • Evaluate the technical feasibility of new product concepts
  • Collaborate with commercial product managers to create compelling, technically sound product briefs
  • Conduct research into technologies, trends, and customer needs
  • Lead the technical components of business case development

Your responsibilities will include:

Global Supply Chain Leadership

  • Own and optimise Link’s end-to-end supply chain performance from engineering specification through to global customer delivery
  • Ensure scalable, cost-effective manufacturing and resilient supply across all markets

Supplier & Commercial Management

  • Lead strategic relationships with contract manufacturers and suppliers
  • Drive performance across quality, cost, delivery and service, including commercial negotiations and continuous improvement

Planning, Inventory & Logistics

  • Lead demand planning and global inventory optimisation to balance service levels and working capital
  • Oversee production, warehousing, dispatch and global logistics partnerships to ensure efficient and reliable fulfilment
  • Manage global logistics and freight partnerships

Operational Excellence & Systems

  • Champion effective use of ERP systems and data-driven decision making
  • Embed strong processes that reduce risk, improve efficiency and support global growth

Leadership & Culture

  • Build, coach and support a high-performing team across supply chain, production and logistics

About you

You will be an experienced supply chain leader who thrives in a growing, globally connected environment. You bring both strategic thinking and hands-on operational capability.

 

Your experience includes:

  • 10+ years’ experience in supply chain, manufacturing, procurement and logistics leadership
  • Proven experience managing contract manufacturers and international supplier networks
  • Strong commercial negotiation capability
  • Experience in demand planning, inventory optimisation and global warehousing models
  • Strong ERP capability (NetSuite experience highly regarded)
  • Exposure to electronics, automotive or technically complex manufacturing industries preferred

The 2025 Paris-Dakar Rally is a crucial testing ground for Electronic Control Units (ECUs) due to its extreme conditions. ECUs must perform reliably in high temperatures, dust, vibrations, and unpredictable terrain, making the rally an ideal real-world stress test for automotive electronics.

The journey to Dakar for GMC Sport in collaboration with Be Racing and Link started five years ago with the vision of testing a Link ECU capable of enduring such extreme conditions. For the past three years, Link's Technical Support team have worked closely with all involved with the team's CAN-AM MAVERICK XRS TURBO RR, providing support and CAN decoding expertise, all with the goal of making this race a reality.

Simply finishing the Dakar Rally is a major accomplishment. As one of the toughest endurance races in the world, it pushes both vehicles and drivers to their limits through harsh terrain, mechanical stress, and navigation challenges. Many competitors fail to reach the finish line due to breakdowns, crashes, or exhaustion, making completion a true test of durability and engineering excellence.

This project not only made it to the finish line, but placed 12th in the category at Dakar 2025, which is an outstanding achievement. The car endured 77 hours of racing across some of the world's harshest landscapes, battling intense heat, mechanical stress, and relentless competition. With many vehicles failing to finish, placing 12th proves the team’s resilience, reliability, and competitive edge in one of motorsport’s most grueling events.

GMC Sport is now aiming to extend its installation of Link ECUs into other Dakar cars, and complete further development to make installation even easier.

Driver, Sebastian Guayasamin, along with the team and the engine tuner, noticed a big improvement on the torque and power using the Link ECU vs many of the competition. They did not experience any ECU limp mode events during the race which is fairly common in the Paris-Dakar race.

We congratulate everyone involved on their success and look forward to seeing more Link-equipped tackle Dakar in the near future!

Link ECU has been backing the Shanahan brothers, Jack and Conor, since they were schoolboys, and we have been there with unconditional support every step of the way, to help them master their craft and deliver many podiums and championships.

When we first met Jack and Conor, they were up-and-coming drivers who were not even old enough to drive on the roads of Ireland . What they did have was a great attitude, tons of potential, and a set of values that matched our own.

We saw they needed a long-term partner who would deliver much more than a standard sponsorship. We met with the family and formed a partnership that has helped them through many ups and downs to the very top of their sport. That was seven years ago, before any of the BDC, IDC or DMEC titles. Since then the Shanahans and Link ECU have enjoyed great success together, both of us growing to be the best in our respective fields.

Link has gone above and beyond to make the Shanahans part of the family. Our partnership has extended well outside of the drift arenas of the UK and Europe, and part of this was helping bring both Jack and Conor down under to compete in the International Drifting Cup in Sydney in 2018. Jack then travelled onwards to spend time with the Link team in our New Zealand HQ – a very special occasion for all of us.

As Jack said at the time: “As a driver we can sometimes forget what goes in to making some of the equipment used in our cars, but thanks to Link I now have a new appreciation for the time and effort that goes making every individual ECU. Thanks Link, it’s been an awesome experience”.

Hypersports HRC-4 “Speed Needle” – Baynes Brothers Racing

Hypersports is a Wisconsin-based custom builder of world record setting snow mobiles, and a great supporter and user of Link ECU, including their own Link-designed plug and play for three cylinders.

Teaming with Baynes Brother Racing, they have been working hard to achieve the groundbreaking goal of 200mph in the 1,000 foot distance speed run. The custom-built Baynes Brothers Racing Hypersport HRC-4 currently holds the world record of 198.67 mph set last year.

The snow mobile is powered by a methanol-fueled 1401cc 4 cylinder Hypersport HRC-4 engine, making 1,000hp and controlled by a Link G4X Xtreme ECU. Other modifications include Link pressure and map sensors, Link Razor PDM, CFD work with Total Sim for the aero package, Precision Turbo Charger and waste gate, CVT Clutches, from STM, Atomizer Injectors, and Woody’s Traction providing titanium hardware.

Hypersports uses Link ECUs for a wide range of features, including Boost Control, PWM tables, and the fast logging and large memory. Hypersports rate Link highly for the flexibility of the platform.

Next year they plan to run the sled on Link’s new G5 Voodoo Pro ECU to take advantage of the built-in GPS and extra outputs.

Keep an eye out for attempts at the 200mph milestone this season with three events planned (weather permitting):

Ford F150 Gen 3 Coyote 4WD - No-prep Drag

This stunning F150 no-prep drag machine is a rare breed, with a Gen 3 Coyote and almost everything fully built or customized. In fact, apart from the chassis, the only stock parts are the front axles and diff.

The owner was getting great performance from his diesel BMW E90, but wanted something more. The 2020 Roush F150 was purchased with 17 miles on the clock and driven 18 hours from Oklahoma to its new home in Detroit, and that’s where the fun begins.

It was meant to be a daily driver, but then the realization came that a Gen 3 would perform much better and be a unique build. The stock supercharged 2WD Roush Nitemare was converted to E85, but the Roush blower was maxed out, So twin 67s replaced the supercharger and the 10R80 trans was pulled and built. With the increased power the 2WD was a little uncontrollable, so it was converted to 4WD while the cab and motor were pulled, custom mounts made for the front diff, and many parts sourced and swapped. The 10 speed can eat through the clutches and can have odd shift strategies, so a Turbo 400 was installed for added reliability.

Next was changing to a standalone ECU with the Link G4X XtremeX, along with smart coils, Link’s 7’ Strata Dash, and custom cam and crank sensors – all installed and tuned to perfection by A-Star Fabrication in Pontiac, Michigan.

The Link ECU features that really bring this build to life include:

  • Multiple timing tables (ignition x time)
  • Launch and Traction Control 
  • Multiple boost tables (scramble and secondary scramble)
  • Air shifting the TH400 (RPM based and wired to the right paddle shifter)
  • Trans brake / PWM for bumping in (Left paddle is trans brake)
  • PWM control for the alternator
  • Wheel speed ran through the dash and CAN back into the ECU
  • GPS speed

The F150 makes 1,600-1,700hp at the wheels and has been competing in back of the track no-prep drag events, recently qualifying as the third pace runner up in Roadkill Nights on Woodward. Plans for the future include more no prep racing and perhaps methanol.

According to the owner, “This truck is unique, and something you don’t see all the time. Everyone builds cars, but 4WD is a game changer – you can stop anywhere, get on the chip and make a pass”.
