About Elsa
Elsa Lowsky is a composer of short classical piano pieces. Her compositions are melodic and span a range of stories and emotions, from playful to romantic to solemn. While a handful of her pieces are inspired by specific events, she characterizes most of her music as free-flowing improvisation.
Born in Buenos Aires, Elsa studied music as a child with the Polish pianist Tila Montes. She emigrated to the United States when she was 14 and completed an undergraduate degree in physics. While she played piano all her life, she didn't pursue her interest in composition in earnest until her sixties, when she realized that it was her true calling. Since then, she has had a prolific period which has yielded over thirty pieces.
