Team Rules

  • All members of your team must be accepted and registered as Lockdown 2025 participants.

  • Teams may have up to 4 members, all of whom must be in-person.

  • You may not be a part of more than one team.

  • Each team can only submit one project.

Project Rules

  • All code for your project must be written between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM on Saturday.

  • You must submit your project at lockdown.devpost.com before 9:00 PM to be eligible to demo your project.

  • Please respect other hackers. Sabotage and interference with other teams’ work is unacceptable and will result in disqualification.

  • It is permitted to plan your project out in advance.

  • Plagiarism is not tolerated and any teams with plagiarized work will be disqualified.

  • AI is allowed, but please do not rely entirely on it.
  • You may use any publically available libraries/packages/design assets.

  • Each team is eligible to win only one prize and must submit to either the beginner or overall division.
  • Please code with integrity! Final interpretation of these rules (including all rules on this page) is at the sole discretion of the Organizers, and potential violations will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

LOCKDOWN Judging Rules

  • After submitting, your team will pitch your project in-person to our judges.
  • You must be waiting in front of your judging stations at your assigned time or your project will not be judged.

  • You will have 2 minutes to present once you're in the judging room, followed by 1 minute of questions. 

  • Your judging pitch should be focused on a live demo of the project, not a slideshow, product pitch, etc.

TRACK Judging Rules

  • All projects that opt-in to any tracks must indicate so on their Devpost submission.

  • You may submit your project to multiple tracks, or none.
