That depends on what modules are loaded (for example graphic card drivers). On my testing machine it is about 308 MB after fresh installation.

Your distro is very good : it is very light on ram and full of features.But i should want more transparency in the UI.

Hi,

Some suggestions for Mabox:

= create an edition with security similar to Qube but with a GUI and easy setup procedures
= Include, as default the virtual box system.

I made a small donation to Mabox last year. Then I switched to UltraMarine (to have been for less time than it has been). The problems I had with Mabox was the volume.

I want to go back to the Arch group, this time likely to CachyOS (which appealed a lot to me since I first read about it before I tried MaBox. I hope that they will create a high secure edition similar to Qube.

The desktop of Mabox is the most appealing to me.

I have not tried all desktops and am very interested in KDE and Cosmic. The latter is currently too new.

A big thank you for all your efforts to make a marvel out of the very visible common things. Mabox is truly a godsent manna for older hardware and resource strapped machines which are aplenty. As a business idea it holds great potential.
its a marvel for new machines as well.

mb-music -s

if you like to try it from terminal use:

mb-music -s 2>/dev/null

Hi. First of all, I love this distro! It’s so different and sensible.

I have a question. When I first booted into Mabox, the panel contained a speaker icon with a drop-down menu to choose classic albums and other preloaded music. As I was doing my initial tweaking, I was listening to Pink Floyd. After I restarted my laptop, this icon and the drop-down menu disappeared. Can anyone tell me how to bring this back? I really like that feature. Thank you so much for creating and maintaining such a brilliant system!
