Eligibility
- Open to registered MakeMIT 2026 participants
- Teams of 6
- Projects must be demoed in person to qualify for prizes
- Organizers and judges are not eligible for prizes
Project & Submission Requirements
Project rules
- Projects must be primarily built during MakeMIT
- Pre-existing work must be disclosed
- Projects must include a meaningful physical prototype
- Teams must demonstrate a working system or subsystem
Devpost submission must include
- Project description
- Demo video
- Photos of prototype
- Repo / documentation (if applicable)
- Materials / tech stack
- Team member info
Incomplete submissions may be disqualified.
Prizes
- Prizes will be awarded across categories listed on makemit.net
- Sponsor prizes may have additional requirements
Judging Criteria & Winner Selection
Projects will be judged on:
- Technical difficulty & execution
- Innovation & creativity
- Functionality & demo quality
- Track Relevancy
Judges’ decisions are final.
