The 2025 edition of the Maps Group Meeting took place at DumBO in Bologna, a location that has become a symbol of urban regeneration and cultural innovation – an ideal setting for a theme like “Armonie” (Harmonies).
A word that guided the story of a year marked by significant changes for the organisation and its corporate community.

In his opening remarks, President Marco Ciscato revisited the main milestones: the arrival of our colleagues from Ellysse S.r.l., the transformation of Artexe S.p.A. into Maps Healthcare S.p.A., and the forthcoming launch of Maps Energy S.r.l.
Strategic choices that strengthen our specialisation, visibility, and operational effectiveness in our key sectors.

Vulcanica: harmony as collective energy

Then the room was overtaken by rhythm.
Bins turned into drums, metal sheets vibrated, wheel rims rang like steel bells. And above all, the body became an instrument: movement, sound, presence.
All of this thanks to the percussion ensemble Vulcanica, who didn’t simply perform, they inhabited the space.

Founded in 1994, this Italian artistic collective with an international outlook brought to the stage a performance that made the idea of harmony tangible. Their message is simple and powerful: music is born from what surrounds us, but above all from what we create together.

A heartfelt thanks to them for reminding us that a company is, first and foremost, a set of energies that find rhythm in collaboration.

Giovanni Storti: From Comedy to Environmental Commitment

The main guest of the meeting was Giovanni Storti, actor and comedian known to the general public as a member of the trio Aldo, Giovanni e Giacomo, and today also the voice of a significant personal journey dedicated to environmental sustainability.

In recent years, Storti has developed numerous green awareness projects, collaborating with associations, schools and local initiatives, using social media to promote topics such as environmental impact, sustainable lifestyles and the relationship between humans and nature. His approach is both direct and pragmatic, yet deeply human.

Moderated by our colleague Enrica Cammarano, journalist and Head of Corporate Communication, the conversation explored themes central to the Group: the role of public figures in spreading environmental awareness, individual responsibility, the integration of technology and sustainability, and the opportunities linked to artificial intelligence.

The Maps Group community was enthusiastic – and pleasantly surprised – to experience Giovanni Storti up close, as he recreated a familiar and intimate atmosphere, offering reflections on sustainability and civic engagement without ever losing his unmistakable humour. With energy and lightness, he led the audience through laughter, applause and memories, bringing back iconic moments from his career.

In closing, he jokingly admitted he had felt wise for a day, noting that in the trio, the serious one has always been Giacomo.

Taking Care: A Wish for 2026

After the conversation with our guest, Vulcanica brought fresh energy to the evening, accompanying us into a moment of community made of dinner, music, laughter and dancing. Simple yet meaningful moments that remind us that a company is not only structures, processes or technologies: it is above all a weave of relationships that grow also beyond the workplace.

To conclude, each employee received a small plant – both a symbolic gesture and a concrete invitation to take care, to observe, to respect natural rhythms, and to cultivate sustainability and harmony each day through our choices.

Artificial Intelligence: a Tool integrated into Maps Group’s software

Financial journalist Rosa Aimoni from WEBSIM by Intermonte asked Marco Ciscato how Maps Group’s work is evolving in light of the major transformation driven by artificial intelligence.

“We all perceive artificial intelligence as a deeply pervasive phenomenon. At Maps Group, where we have been using AI for many years, we’ve aimed to employ it as a tool to be verticalized in the areas where we operate, particularly healthcare and energy, to support organizations in their digital transformation”, explained the Chairman.

The company’s approach does not see AI as a one-size-fits-all solution to business challenges. Instead, Maps Group focuses on vertical integration and implementation of AI within its software products, in order to expand and strengthen an already well-defined business model.

In the energy sector, Maps Energy has integrated AI into some software modules to enable predictive maintenance, helping companies rationalize energy consumption and optimize costs.
In healthcare, the Data Driven line of Maps Healthcare uses AI to analyze data related to prescription appropriateness. Furthermore, within Patient Experience, AI supports and enhances the management of relationships between healthcare facilities and patients, leveraging multichannel communication.

Growth Strategies

Maps Group aims to grow through external lines, expanding its portfolio of digital products and strengthening its market position in its core sectors.
International expansion, especially in the energy sector, is among the company’s key strategic objectives for the coming years.

Latest figures and future outlook

In the first half of the year, revenue exceeded €15 million, marking a 7% increase.

The Maps Healthcare business unit recorded €10.1 million, +14% year-on-year; Maps Energy reached €1.3 million, +19%; Maps ESG totaled €1.5 million, +4%; and MapsLab closed at €3 million, –13%.

Ciscato expressed confidence in the future, convinced that the new European regulations on Energy Communities and the Italian PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan) will act as key drivers of growth.

A strategic evolution that strengthens the Group’s identity and positioning

Parma, 31 October 2025

Maps Group has officially announced the change of corporate name of its subsidiary Artexe® S.p.A. to Maps Healthcare S.p.A.

The transition from Artexe® S.p.A. to Maps Healthcare S.p.A. is part of a long-term strategy aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and strengthening the competitive positioning of Maps Group. It represents a project to optimize the Group’s corporate structure, with the goal of making internal processes more efficient and simplifying the overall business model.

The former Maps Healthcare Business Unit has now become an independent company, with a distinct identity within the Italian healthcare market, while maintaining the same mission: to support healthcare organizations in improving patient experience through phygital solutions, data-driven applications, and digital tools for the management and digitalization of diagnostic and administrative workflows.

This change will not affect the company’s organizational structure or its employees.

Mauro Di Maulo, founder of Artexe® S.p.A. and now Head of Innovation and Business Development for the Patient Experience line at Maps Healthcare, stated:

“I am deeply pleased to see that a vision born together with my companions at Artexe® has found new strength and continuity within Maps Healthcare. This milestone speaks of people, passion, future, and of the ability to build innovation with purpose and humanity. Every meaningful journey is built together: my thanks go to Fabrizio Biotti and Ruggero Di Maulo for believing in this vision and helping it grow alongside me.”

“Over the years, we have built so much: relationships, trust, and innovation serving healthcare and all those who live it every day. Today, with Maps Healthcare, we want to continue this journey with even greater energy, helping healthcare organizations to create a system that truly puts people and patients at its center. This is a natural evolution that unites our history with a shared vision of a more connected, human, and sustainable healthcare.”

The first drafted in accordance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards

2024 has been a year of steady growth and excellent economic performance, further confirming the quality of our solutions and the strength of the markets in which we operate. In line with our core values, this development has been accompanied by a continued strengthening of our corporate culture, with an increasing focus on sustainability, environmental protection, and social responsibility.

From a reporting perspective, the integration of the EU Taxonomy, already initiated in the previous Report, has been further expanded. At the same time, we have undertaken an initial alignment with the requirements of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), culminating in the publication of the first edition of the Sustainability Report compliant with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).

This year, a new and more in-depth double materiality assessment was carried out, actively engaging all internal and external stakeholders of the Group. This allowed for a more precise identification of the most significant impacts, as well as the key risks and opportunities for Maps Group. The entire data collection process was supported by a training and awareness-raising program on sustainability issues, involving both the management team and the highest governing bodies of Maps Group.

Although sustainability-related regulation is evolving rapidly, and the extent of reporting obligations for organisations such as ours remains to be fully defined, we have set a clear path forward. This involves not only a tangible commitment to sustainability issues, but also the implementation of an increasingly efficient, transparent, and timely organisational and reporting system.

The 2024 Sustainability Report has also been published in English to ensure transparency and accessibility of information for all stakeholders. It is now available on the Maps Group website.

Founded in 2002, Ellysse has established itself in the market thanks to its proprietary brand “Contatta”, which offers advanced solutions to enhance and simplify user experiences through both Human-Human and Human-Bot interactions, supported by cutting-edge AI technologies.

A strategic partnership to strengthen the healthcare offering

The acquisition of Ellysse is an important step for Maps Group, enabling further expansion of its software product portfolio and strengthening its presence in the healthcare sector, an area where Maps Group is already well-established thanks to its Business Unit “Maps Healthcare”. The amount will be paid by Maps Group at Closing using immediately available funds.

A significant milestone that demonstrates the Group’s concrete commitment to sustainability

During the 2024 AssoNEXT Awards, organized by AssoNEXT, the Italian Association of Listed SMEs, Maps Group received the prestigious “Best ESG Identity” award. This recognition is clear evidence of the Group’s focus on sustainability and transparency.

Maps Group was commended for its distinctive approach to ESG, particularly for the transparency of its information, clear communication, and concrete commitment to sustainability.
In its 2023 Sustainability Report, Maps Group has already aligned with the new EU directive, the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). The aim of the CSRD is to provide clarity to help investors, analysts, consumers, and other stakeholders better evaluate the sustainability performance of EU companies, as well as their related impacts and risks.

The ESG Identity of Maps Group

Several elements set Maps Group’s ESG Identity apart, according to the jury:

  • Engaging and communicative design in the preparation of sustainability reports, deemed visually compelling and designed to capture attention and effectively communicate results and objectives.
  • Clarity of information was considered a crucial factor in building trust and ensuring that all stakeholders, from investors to clients, can easily access relevant data.
  • Accessible language choices were praised for making the Group’s goals comprehensible to a broad audience without compromising technical complexity.
  • Sustainability deeply embedded in corporate culture, influencing every aspect of Maps Group’s operations, from strategy to daily activities.
  • Adherence to the European taxonomy, in line with international best practices
  • Lastly, the Group was applauded for adopting an approach that considers both financial and non-financial impacts of its activities, underlining its commitment to a comprehensive and responsible vision.

Sustainability Report and ESG Identity: The Result of Team Efforts at Maps Group

Winning the “Best ESG Identity” Award 2024 would not have been possible without the efforts of the Sustainability Team, led by Giulia Cavalieri, Group Corporate Legal Counsel, and Matteo Gasparri, Investor Relations Specialist, who collected and analyzed the data for the 2023 Sustainability Report.
The drafting of the document and communication of the results were further supported by the Communication Team, with the invaluable contribution of colleague and graphic designer Alessia Giusti.

At our headquarters in Parma, two-day meeting to analyze developments in the HARMONISE project for Positive Energy Districts

On December 4 and 5, at its headquarters on Via Paradigna in Parma, Maps Group hosted the second General Assembly of the HARMONISE project, Hierarchical and Agile Resource Management Optimization for Networks in Smart Energy Communities, funded by the European Union’s Next Generation EU program.

The goal of HARMONISE is to create a scalable and easily integrated solution to support the technological, operational, and social aspects necessary to transition urban districts into Positive Energy Districts (PEDs).
By providing a detailed overview of energy demands, renewable energy sources (such as solar panels and wind turbines) and storage units can be deployed precisely where needed, thereby reducing or even eliminating environmental impact.

All the working groups involved, from various countries of the European Union, presented their contributions. Two intense days of activities, which also saw the participation of our Research&Solutions Team, together with Vieri Emiliani, Head of Innovation and Gian Luca Cattani, Innovation & Development Director.

To find out more about optimizing resources in Positive Energy Districts, read the article dedicated to the project.

Our President, Marco Ciscato, explained how investments in digitalisation, particularly in energy and healthcare, are driving the continuous growth of Maps Group. As confirmed by the numbers and a scalable business model, as mentioned in an interview with Marino Masotti from the WEBSIM by Intermonte.

Watch the WEBSIM video interview

marco ciscato interview by websim

During the meeting, Ciscato commented on the company’s financial results, which showed double-digit growth for the seventh consecutive semester: revenues up 13% to €14.7 million, and EBITDA up 57% to €3.2 million.

“What we are seeing from our figures is that by increasing the number of clients, revenues naturally increase, but margins also improve, as our costs are not proportional to revenues, given the initial investments we’ve already made in our products,” highlighted the President during the “Meet the Company” program.

Marco Ciscato presented the performance of the Maps Healthcare Business Unit, the most significant in terms of contribution to the consolidated figures, but also, in evolutionary terms, the most advanced. Growth, entirely organic, comes not only from new clients but also from the scalability of the business model and the resolution of integration issues that arose in 2023.

The Maps Energy Business Unit, on the other hand, although accounting for only 10% of revenues, is what led Websim Corporate analyst Marco Opipari to raise the stock’s target price to €4.90 from €4.10, confirming the ‘BUY’ recommendation.

In this area, “we have seen some purely numerical signals, including an initial interesting margin, not yet at our target, but higher than that of Healthcare,” said Ciscato. The positive results are only just beginning and are accelerating; the second half of 2024 will be stronger than the first, and the bulk of the results are expected to come in the coming years.
