Hacking Guidelines:

You must not work on your hack before MasseyHacks IX begins. You must only work on your project between 11:00 AM EDT on May 6th, 2023 and 11:00 AM EDT on May 7th, 2023.
- You may fix minor issues until the judging period, but you must not implement new features or make significant changes.
- All hacks must be submitted exclusively to MasseyHacks. Cross-submitting is not permitted.

You must not steal code, hardware or any other materials from other teams at MasseyHacks IX. You may use any publicly available libraries or packages.

You must submit your code in a public location (e.g. GitHub, google drive link or as a file in your Devpost submission). Remember to remove API keys.
- You are allowed to use AI assistance for research and learning purposes. However, if you used AI assistance to write code, you must indicate so wherever it was used in your source code.
- You may prepare structural components for your hardware hack in advance (e.g. 3D-printing parts). You must not assemble your hardware hack in advance.

The verdicts of the judges regarding prizes are final.

Please comply with the directives issued by all MasseyHacks IX organizers.

Harassment of any kind is completely intolerable. Discrimination and disrespect against people of specific races, schools, sexual orientations, beliefs or political views will result in disqualification and dismissal from the event.
- Keep your working area clean before each check-out.
- Do not touch or take any items from any classrooms. This includes chalkboards/whiteboards.
- If you leave the school outside of check-out times, you will not be allowed back in until the next check-in time.

All hackers must abide by the MLH Code of Conduct.
The final interpretation of these rules and guidelines is at the sole discretion of the organizers. Failure to comply with the guidelines and rules above will result in disqualification and dismissal from MasseyHacks IX and exclusion from future events.
