This time weโre bringing you 3 tracks, 2 workshops, and a chance to pitch as one of our finalists ๐. For each of the 3 tracks, a problem statement will be released during the opening ceremony ๐ค, which teams will have to address for their chosen track. Whether youโre aiming to hone your hackathon skills ๐ป or eager to compete in one of the biggest hackathons in Melbourne ๐, sign up now for FREE registration via our link in bio ๐.

Requirements
How to Submit Your Project on Devpost
All hackathon projects must be submitted via Devpost. Follow these steps to get set up and ready:
1. Create a Devpost Account

Go to https://devpost.com

Click Sign Up (top right).

You can sign up with GitHub, LinkedIn, or email.

Fill in your profile (name, photo, bio).
2. Join the MelbourneHack 2025 Devpost Page

Visit the MelbourneHack 2025 Devpost event link (weโll provide it in Discord and at the Opening Ceremony).

Click Join Hackathon.

Make sure youโre logged in with your Devpost account.
3. Form or Join a Team

Teams can be 1โ4 members.

Once youโve joined the hackathon on Devpost:

Go to the Participants tab.

Invite teammates using their Devpost usernames or emails.
-
Confirm your team formation before you submit.
4. Prepare Your Submission
When your project is ready, click Submit Project on the hackathon page. Youโll be asked to provide:

Project name

Description
- Chosen track

Demo: video submission showing most/all the features of their app (under 5 mins)

Product: a GitHub link/ link to hosted website/ apk/ exe...

Team members: including team membersโ student ID and contact emails

Register for First Year Team (if eligible) in submission
5. Submit Before the Deadline

Final submission deadline: Monday 1st September, 11:59pm (AEST)

Late submissions wonโt be accepted, so aim to finish early.

Is this something people would actually want or need? Does it solve a real problem or offer clear value? -

How fresh or unique is the idea? Is it a new take on an existing solution or something that hasnโt been done before?
