Behind Moe Memos

There are hundreds of decent note-taking apps today. When something comes to my mind, I want to write down a memo as soon as possible. When learning new things, I tend to take quick notes before writing them down in other second-brain knowledge bases.

I discovered flomo and became its pro member in 2021. It has a curated feature set, a powerful community, and it’s the perfect tool for quick capture.

Moe Memos is built with full respect for user privacy in mind. Moe Memos does not collect any data and makes no network connections to the developer.

Moe Memos can connect to a self-hosted ✍️memos server to sync your data across devices. When connected, Moe Memos only stores your Access Token in your device’s secure storage.

The developer of Moe Memos strongly recommends that you host the server on your own local hardware to fully protect your data. If you prefer to host your Memos server on the internet (a.k.a., someone else’s computer), you are subject to the privacy policy of your hosting provider. Please ensure that you connect to your Memos server only via HTTPS or a local network.
