When I heard in the movie that she was molested by her dad, I somehow and immediately wasn’t surprised; I seem to know it before they even mentioned it as I saw the photos of her. I was molested by my biological father too when I was 9-12. I can see why she had a late mental breakdown. I can also see why she liked modeling nude and flaunting her sexuality. I believe it was her way of taking back what her dad took from her at such a young age; she took back control of her body, and her self esteem. I can see how the nude modeling helped her come to terms with what her dad made feel “ugly” which was her sexuality and image of herself. I understand. Incestuous sexual child abuse is the most psychologically damaging of all child abuses. She is at peace now with her life. Bless you Bettie.
