Starting on March 2nd, regular Patreon/Subscribestar posts will resume with the usual cadence, and we will also be returning to streams (schedule pending). Our store has also been reopened, now with some brand new stickers!

Artists who were interests in our headhunting initiative may have noticed that, due to the break, we had not contacted anyone for the month of February. Please look forward to an April hiring and a potential June.

You may have noticed that January had no new activity. Due to a slew of things in my personal life impacting my ability to work, I was unable to do much. This has left me in a state of mind where I believe it will be very difficult to push myself to work my day job, my freelance gigs, and game development all at the same time. So, for the sake of my mental health, I have decided to pause milk+ visual activities for the entirety of the month of February.

This means that there will be no 7388 Monthly for both February and March, as well as no new streams. Streaming activity will return in March, and the next monthly is slated for April (with the early Patreon release set for March as always). For Patrons and Subscribers, billing will be paused for the month since no new posts will be made. You can still access everything that’s available to you at your tier, but you won’t be charged. Please let us know if you were charged for February by Patreon/Subscribestar anyways so that we may refund you.

The merch store will also be unavailable for the month. When it returns, you may find that certain products will no longer be available. I’d like to apologize to anyone who wished to obtain these products. Come this summer, I hope to be able to provide suitable replacements in the form of some Patreon merchandise that will finally be available for public purchase, as well as some new, non-Patreon store originals.

Thank you for your understanding. I look forward to returning with renewed energy after the break.

Merope’s sprites are now VIRTUALLY COMPLETE!

The image above is not the final final version of her sprites; she needs tweaks, and she also needs all of her expressions created. However, this is still a tremendous piece of progress now complete!

Diana and Yulia would also have much to show, but unfortunately, the Patron-only 4 hour combination stream was cut short by an emergency. This stream will soon be rescheduled for this month.

Our 2026 New Year’s post further details what we plan on doing this year. Aside from that, this ends this month’s post. We’re excited to see what this new year brings!

It’s 2026! That’s another year of yuri! Happy new yuri! It’s time for us to look back on what happened with milk+ visual in 2025, then look forward to 2026!

Retrospective

2025 was both a challenging and promising year for us. Despite various setbacks, we were able to achieve wonderful little victories. Most notably, we released Soundless on Steam and finally completed its long-awaited anniversary artbook. We also launched a merch store, released the 2024 Patreon collection pack, and even redesigned the website!

And while we didn’t get as far with 7388.loving(Grace)’s development as we would have liked, we still managed to close out the year by finishing up Merope’s sprite. To make “room” (so to speak) for this New Year’s post, a final visual of this progress will be shared on Sunday with the usual 7388 monthly report. If you’re a Patron (or a Subscriber), you already have access to the report!

What’s Next?

2026 is going to be all 7388, all the time. We don’t have a release date set for 7388 yet (it’s way too early), but we would like to be in a position to provide a release date sometime this year. The sort of report card that we’re looking for to be able to do this looks a little something like this:

When the report cards start looking closer to this, this is about when you can start expecting bigger news, like a Steam page or a release date.

Our main goals for 2026 are as follows:

1. Complete the writing
2. Complete all sprites
3. Complete the basic user interface
4. Budget for hiring artists for needed contract work (music, backgrounds) and any stock asset purchases if necessary

As 7388.loving(Grace) will be our first ever commercial title, we are closely focusing on ensuring things are polished and presentable. This development speed should allow us to achieve a reasonable amount of polish for the team’s size.

Additionally, with the completion of Merope’s sprite, we will be moving on to streams that focus on certain key artwork, as well as CGs that are not as spoilery. When Yulia and Diana’s sprites are done, our Patron-only streams will focus on the creation of the user interface and any CGs that are deemed a little too risky for public view. Please note that as we dig deeper into development, the amount of development we can stream and share publicly will decrease!

Final Merope Stream + Yulia/Diana Combination Stream

For a year-end special and to make up for the time that website-related issues stole from us, we’re running a long Merope process stream on Saturday, starting at 2:30 PM MST! This stream will run until either the sprites are finished, or papaya has to tap out. We want to try and finish the year with a set of sprites completed for 7388! You can find the stream’s static link by clicking on this sentence.

Additionally, $5+ Patrons will get to enjoy a 4 hour long stream on Sunday, which starts at 1 PM MST. 2 hours will be dedicated to working on Yulia’s sprite, while the other two are dedicated to Diana’s. The static link for this stream will be posted to our Patreon on Friday!

Hello everyone! I’m excited to share this month’s progress! You’ll notice that this month the Art portion of the report card now says that sprites are being Finished—indeed, I’m comfortable saying that they’re getting close to completion!

Art

Much has been done on the sprite front. Merope’s sprite has entered the rendering stages, the latest progress stream of which you can find here! As for Diana and Yulia, their own streams ($5+ Patrons only) went smoothly! Only their back-facing sprites have yet to be lined and colored; after that, they’ll be joining Merope on the road to rendering.

Next month, I’m looking to work on key art as I get these off the plate. I’m also planning on creating sprites that won’t be streamed in any capacity—these will be a surprise. We’ll also be hopping back into outlining so that a list of needed CGs and backgrounds can be compiled soon.

Hello, everyone! Despite October being full of…job…there was surprisingly more done on the 7388 front than I thought there would be!

Art

For starters, Merope’s sprite base colors are essentially finished save for scuffs on the metal and dirt/blemishes on her skin. This month’s public stream showcased this getting completed for all four of her sprites. Subsequent streams will be virtually entirely focused around rendering her, and before you know it, Merope’s sprites will actually be completed!

Yulia also got attention, as she was chosen for the Patron-only stream. Half of her sprites now have completed base colors. Diana also got a little love this month, and while she’s not as far along as Merope and Yulia, any progress brings us closer to the finish line regardless.

Though this month’s update consisted only of spritework, it’s definitely enough spritework that could be used for something like a working prototype. Speaking of putting together anything programming-wise, when sprites are further along we plan on starting work for the user interface! This will finally open up the Programming section of the monthly progress report. Exciting!!

It’s time for the monthly progress report! A lot has been done in the art department, and I’m excited to share it with you all! First, however, I feel as if I must make an important announcement: I have obtained a full time job. What this means for development has yet to be seen, but I will do my best to continue the development of 7388 at a reasonable pace. Hopefully the influx of money will allow me to spend a little more on hiring outside help to make up for the loss of free time!

With that being said, let’s get into it.

Art

The bulk of the work has been, once again, done on art! This time, quite a lot of progress has been made on the sprites of Merope and Diana, as well as Yulia. These three all got streams, which you can view through the following links: Merope 2, Diana ($5+ Patron only), Yulia ($5+ Patron only).

This is a good pace for the sprites and will ensure their completion within the year. We’re excited to share the full sprites when they’re done!

Miscellaneous

Both the key art (bottom) and main menu graphic (top) have shareable drafts as well. There are other color variants for the key art that we’re currently playing around with. There may be a second key art (or the main menu art will be utilized as a second key art), but that has yet to be seen.

Unfortunately, I haven’t gotten a chance to sit down and work on the writing for a long enough period of time to constitute a significant progress update. Hopefully next month brings an opportunity for me to do so despite the shift in employment situation!
