Thanks for asking these questions.

Q: Why do you need two projectors?

A: We use 2 or 3 monitors or projectors for the same reason people often have 2 or 3 monitors on their desktop – to provide room for several applications to be opened and viewable at the same time.

Q: Why does each person have a laptop if all the work is being done on the one main computer?

A: All the production code and most of the other artifacts and work we are doing is done on the “main” computer, but it is very convenient for everyone to have their own computer for searching, trying things, reading documents, or whatever an individual would like.

Q: How do you handle differences in opinion on coding or design?

A: We handle differences of opinion by listening to the different ideas and trying them.

I believe we were using Epson PowerLite 1761W, WXGA, Wireless, 2600 Lumens Color Brightness, 2600 Lumens White Brightness, Ultra Lightweight 3LCD Projector. I’m not sure how we connected them, but one was through an HDMI connector. Now they are using 80 inch 4k monitors rather than the projectors.

Sorry I’m late to the party, but I just discovered your work and the concept of mob programming. I am totally on board, and I think it’s awesome. In fact, I’ve been trying to do this with my local meetup group, except I was calling it “crowd coding”. haha! I personally have been using BDD with Cucmber.js on AngularJS and React projects and I run a few meetup groups in the area. If you ever want to hold a mob programming session in NYC or New Jersey let me know. We would love to have you at one of our events!

I’ve tried with two different clients. The previous measured velocity and we definitely experienced an increase when we mob programmed.

But you must take breaks! All this input from everyone is exhausting.
