Let’s face it, words like post-racial are a bad joke.

Inspired by IMDb’s ability to create instant and easy access to everything movie related, the Internet Minority Movie Database (iMmdb) was founded to create that same ease in learning about minorities within the media & entertainment industries.

We hope this database serves as a source of inspiration. One day, we hope this database will be a happy afterthought and that the word ‘minority’ will no longer equate to inequality, misrepresentation, rewriting/omitting/ruining narratives, and other sad things like oppression and (cultural) colonization.
