From October 5th - 6th, MRUHacks will bring together students in the Riddell Library and Learning Centre for a 24-hour in-person hackathon experience. Participants will be given a prompt to address before the time limit is up. Students are encouraged to address the prompt however they wish: submitted entries can be web apps, games, or anything in between!
MRUHacks is open to students of all backgrounds and skill levels. Whether you've never programmed before or you're a skilled coder, all are welcome to take part, learn new skills and collaborate with others. Students will work in groups of 1-5 and are encoruage to gain advice and support from organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and each other.
Requirements
WHAT TO MAKE
On the day of the event, a prompt will be given to all students. As a team, it is your responsibility to build a software project around that theme and submit it in ~24 hours.
WHAT TO SUBMIT
- Projects should be submitted through Devpost.
- Projects should have code publicly available on GitHub.
- Submissions must be created during the 24 hours of the competition.
- Participants should not make large changes or add new features after the submission deadline has passed.
- Participants are expected to present a demo of what they have built.
