This is a 36-hour overnight, in-person hackathon.
Eligibility
- Open to high school juniors, seniors, and undergraduate college students in the DMV area (DC, Maryland, Virginia).

You can join as an individual or as part of a team (3–5 members).

No prior hackathon or coding experience required—we’ll provide mentors, tools, and resources to support you.
Project and Submission Requirements

Align with one of the official problem statements

Be submitted on Devpost before the deadline

Include a 3–5 minute demo video explaining your idea and how it works
-
Use only halal, open-source datasets and clearly cite any AI tools or APIs
Each submission should include:

A working prototype or demo (website, app, or tool)

A video walk-through (uploaded or linked via YouTube)

A short written description with:

Team members
-
Problem being addressed
-
Features and technologies used
-
Connection to the hackathon’s theme and goals

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection
Projects will be scored across the following areas:

Impact – Does the solution address a real-world issue and benefit the Muslim community?

Innovation – Is the idea creative, original, or uniquely implemented?

Feasibility – Can this project realistically be built, scaled, or used long-term?

Technical Execution – Is the code clean, working, and well-structured?
-
Presentation – Is the video and written explanation clear, organized, and engaging?
-
Use of AI – Is AI integrated meaningfully, ethically, and effectively?

Islamic Relevance – Does the project reflect Islamic values, history, or community needs?
Winners will be selected by a panel of judges with expertise in technology, education, and community development.
