The ARZ (A Restricted with Z Endorsement) truck training program at Northern Academy is designed for individuals aiming to operate commercial vehicles with automatic transmissions and air brake systems. These programs are ideal for those seeking careers in industries such as construction, waste management, and municipal services, where such vehicles are commonly used.
A crucial component of ARZ training is obtaining the Z endorsement, which certifies drivers to operate vehicles equipped with air brakes. This involves additional instruction on the mechanics and safe operation of air brake systems, ensuring that drivers meet the necessary safety standards.
Admission Requirements
Must be 18 years of age or older, Must have minimum Grade 10 English (or equivalent), Must hold a valid Ontario Class G license or Higher, MTO Medical that meets the vision, hearing and medical requirements for a class A licence, Drivers Abstract.
