Community Radio. What is it, Really?

Community and Campus Radio leads Canadian Culture.

Our members are as diverse as the communities that made them with programming offered in over 65 languages across the country! These are non-profit community-based stations, and many participate in local projects and fundraising, constantly giving back every penny put in. Here is more information about a snapshot of our sector as of March 2023, our history, current membership, alumni and listening numbers. Are you looking to start a station? Click here!

Looking for our old site? It has been archived as of November 8, 2021! We will launch a new, public-facing website in 2026 or 2027. However, we have access to our Resonating Reconciliation project here

NCRC44 and Radiodays North America will bring together campus, community, and Indigenous broadcasters alongside international leaders in radio, podcasting, and audio media in Toronto from May 4–9, 2026. The week is structured in two parts: a conference program connecting NCRA/ANREC members with the international Radiodays North America event, and a second set of hands-on learning sessions focused on podcasting, audio production, and independent media creation. The week-long series of events includes the CRABO Awards, networking, station tours and much more. More DetailsTickets!
