About the challenge

Are you a beginner coder, or maybe an advanced coder attending your 50th hackathon? Either way, NightHacks is a perfect opportunity to test and build your coding skills while having fun with the community, meeting other coders, and having fun! You have 24 hours to build an original project and present it in front of a panel of judges. NightHacks aims to help build the future generation of computer scientists!

Teams

You are allowed to work in teams, we suggest having max THREE team members. You can go above this, but be aware that the prize money will be split equally.

FAQ

Wait, it's called a hackathon, am I going to be doing illegal hacking?!?!?!

  • Not at all! The term "hacking" means creating a project with code, hence the term "hackathon"

Requirements

What to Build

Build an awesome coding project, our hackathon is open-ended so build whatever you would like! Perhaps it is something you have a personal connection to or a fun, silly project that makes you laugh, all projects are accepted here at NightHacks!

What to Submit

All participants MUST submit on Devpost, things that must be included are the following:

  • Video Demo

    • Within the Video you must state the following:
    • "Hello, my name/our names are __________ and this is our project (say project name) for NightHacks."
  • Description of your project

Failure to provide these required items will result in disqualification.
