About the challenge

Batch 09 is a summer hackathaon for students. Participants are welcome to submit anything code related that they would like, from ML to Data Visualization to games. 

By joining this hackathon, you consent to receiving emails about the hackathon in your inbox.

What to Build

Anything! 

 

 

  1. GitHub Repository:
    • Share a link to your GitHub repository containing all the source code, documentation, and any other relevant materials. Ensure your code is well-documented to help judges understand your implementation.
    • Include a README file with a clear description of your project, the problem it addresses, the solution, and the impact it aims to make. Provide setup and usage instructions.
  2. Project demo link, if applicable. Every project should submit a github link. Include specific instructions for how to use the project.
  3. Submission Video:
    • You must include a video (up to 3 minutes) demonstrating your project. This video should walk through your project, highlighting its features, functionality, and user interface. Mention the technologies used and how it addresses the topic of social good.
    • Upload the video to a platform like YouTube or Vimeo and provide the link in your submission.

Judging Criteria

  • Complexity
    How advanced are the technologies and frameworks used in the project? Does the project utilize any cutting-edge technologies or methodologies? How well does the code adhere to best practices in software development?
  • Design
    How professional looking is it? Does the project include industry-grade UI and UX elements? Is it easy to navigate the project as someone who's never interacted with the project before?
  • Impact
    How impactful is this solution? Does it help improve the quality of life for a significant audience? A great project should start with a great impact. The bigger the impact, the more novel it is.
  • Creativity
    How unique/novel of an idea is this? Has this been done before, or is it a new idea? Does the project use creativity to brainstorm a new solution to a problem, or is it recreating something that's already been done?
