Advancing Psychotherapy for the Next Generation
Psychotherapies that create meaningful change
Evidence shows that psychotherapy clearly works, and that some therapies are a better match for certain individuals or circumstances. Some therapies are also designed to create meaningful change — improvements in people’s relationships, work life, self esteem, self understanding, and capacity to navigate life’s ups and downs. These therapies help people get to the root of themselves and their struggles, as well as providing symptom relief. They may be more intensive, but for many, they create meaningful change.

Stands We Take
We aim to promote therapies of depth, insight and relationship to policy makers, the general public and mental health professionals and organizations.
Original Research
We undertook an ambitious research effort to understand what the US public knows about therapy, how they think and feel about it, and what they most want out of it.
