About the challenge

PYWORKS Hackathon Prep is the low-stakes practice hackathon that is part of the Hackathon Prep Workshop. Submissions can be new or old projects as the aim is to help students build stronger hackathon project marketing skills. The theme will be empowering education, try to build or choose your projects with that in mind!

Get started

To get started, attend the PYWORKS Hackathon Prep Workshop on Saturday, August 3rd. Using the tips and tricks learned from this session, create a project submission with a three-minute video demo and a description.

Requirements

What to Build

Your project can be anything of your choice! However, explaining the purpose of your project is crucial for the demo video and description blurb.

What to Submit

A demo video of 3 minutes or under, and photos of your program running (if applicable).

  • Quality of Project Explanation
    The effort put into creating a good presentation demo video and written response.
  • Purpose of Project
    Does the project solve a problem, regardless of how complex its source code is?
