I always joke that I started computer science in high school because I needed my technology credit to graduate and I would have rather taken computer science than “lost a finger at the tender age of 15” to a wood shop-style class. After that first class falling in love with Alice, Jeroo, and Lego Robotics, the rest is history!
I graduated with my B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, College Park in December 2019. During my time at UMD, I studied cybersecurity under the ACES Honors College Program, conducted research as a Departmental Honors scholar, completed three internships in my field , and explored my interests through classes and projects. Some of my favorite coursework was Operating Systems (I loved getting to learn what all is happening “underneath the hood”) and Human-Computer Interaction (understanding good/bad design and how people use technology is fascinating)!
