About the challenge
Ramblin' Hacks is a premier opportunity organized by the College of Computing at Georgia Tech for hackers with a wide range of skill levels, from veterans to first-time hackers, to learn and grow, while being exposed to unique networking opportunities with our corporate sponsors. A unique part of the our operation is the way judging is conducted, which places equal weight on the entrepreneurial viability of an idea as its technical brilliance. This underscores our emphasis on technology as a medium for development, echoing Georgia Tech's motto of "Service and Progress".
Participants will choose from one of three tracks: Smart Soccer (sponsored by US Soccer), Healthcare, and Finance. Each track's sponsor will present unique and interesting challenges that hackers will solve with ingenuity and precision to have real-world impact.
Requirements
What to Build
Ramblin' Hacks is a software-focused hackathon, so any submissions will need to primarily revolve around software coded over the course of the hackathon. This includes, but is not limited to, mobile apps, websites, desktop tools, and more. We encourage hackers to be creative in the medium of their submissions but ensure it stays within the bounds of software.
What to Submit
A 4-minute pitch of the idea, followed by a 2-minute demo of the hack built (as one video), along a detailed written explanation of the project.
