Welcome to Ramblin' Hacks! To ensure a fair, enjoyable, and productive event for all participants, please review the following rules carefully.

General Guidelines Team Composition:

·       Teams may consist of 1-4 participants.

·       Participants must be registered officially prior to the start of the event.

Event Schedule:

·       All submissions must be completed within the hackathon timeframe.

·       Late submissions will not be considered.

Judging Process

Ramblin' Hacks uses a two-stage judging process:

Stage 1: Entrepreneurial Round

·       Each team will present their project's business value, innovation, viability, and market potential.

·       Duration: 4-minute presentation followed by 2 minutes of Q&A.

Stage 2: Technical Round

·       Teams shortlisted from Stage 1 will present their technical implementation, including functionality, complexity, originality, and demonstration of a working prototype.

·       Duration: 2-minute presentation/demo.

Each team will be evaluated by two judges who will score independently and discuss to reach consensus.

Use of AI Tools

·       AI tools (such as coding assistants or copilot tools) are permitted to support your coding process.

·       However, the majority (over 50%) of the submitted code must be human-written and original.

·       Judges reserve the right to review code repositories and commits to ensure compliance.

·       Anyone who is in the running for a prize should be expected to explain the structure and implementation of their code.

Submission Requirements

·       Teams must submit:

o   A link to their GitHub repository (or similar platform).

§  Video tutorial for first-time participants

o   Documentation including a brief description, tech stack, and instructions to run the project.

o   Recorded or live demonstration of the project.

Code of Conduct

·       All participants must adhere to respectful and inclusive conduct throughout the event.

·       Harassment, cheating, plagiarism, or unethical behavior will result in immediate disqualification.

Intellectual Property

·       Participants retain full ownership of their submissions.

·       Ramblin' Hacks may feature submissions for promotional or educational purposes, with appropriate attribution.

Awards and Recognition

·       Winners will be announced at the end of the hackathon.

·       Prizes will be awarded based on combined scores from entrepreneurial and technical rounds.

By participating in Ramblin' Hacks, teams agree to abide by these rules and any decisions made by the organizers and judges.
