ABOUT THE CHALLENGE
The Santa Clara Hacks is a challenge for high schoolers to use their skills and creativity to come up with solutions that address pressing issues facing our world. The hackathon is centered around four categories: sustainability, education, health and wellness, and social justice. Participants will be encouraged to think outside the box and develop innovative ideas that can positively impact their communities and beyond.
The challenge will allow participants to develop valuable skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, and communication while also gaining experience in using technology to address real-world problems.
Requirements
WHAT TO BUILD
Participants in the Santa Clara Hacks are required to build a working prototype or solution (such as a website, app, product, etc.) that addresses a specific challenge in the future needs
Participants should use their skills and creativity to develop innovative solutions that have the potential to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond. We encourage participants to think outside the box and push the boundaries of what is possible.
WHAT TO SUBMIT
Participants should submit their projects on Devpost, including the following:
- A short video demo of their solution (up to 3 minutes in length)
- A written description of the project, including the challenge it addresses, the intended audience, and how the solution was developed. Be sure to include any relevant data.
The submission should be clear, concise, and provide a thorough explanation of the solution developed by the team. Participants are also encouraged to include any additional information or resources that may help the judges understand and evaluate their project.
