Welcome to SASEHacks@UCM 2025 – an in-person hackathon at UC Merced where beginners and interdisciplinary teams come together to learn, build, and innovate! Over two days (April 5–6, 2025), you’ll experience a mix of interactive workshops, live mentor support, focused hacking sessions, and a friendly social environment. Our agenda features sessions like:
- Workshops on Node.js & Web Development, FlutterFlow, GitHub, Gemini LLM APIs, and Firebase Databases.
- A Final Presentation Preparation and Devpost Submission Workshop to help you polish your demo.
- Mentor Office Hours available in COB2 110 from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM on both days (with scheduled lunch and dinner breaks).
- A full day of focused hacking, team collaboration, and community building – including a Team Formation Session and a Social Mixer.

Requirements
For your Devpost submission, please ensure that your project meets the following criteria:
- Working Prototype/MVP: Your project must have a functional demonstration of your idea.
- Demo Video: Include a short video (or a video link) showcasing your project in action.
- Source Code: Provide a link to your GitHub repository (or other code-hosting platform) that contains your project’s code.
- Documentation & Assets: Attach any additional supporting materials (e.g., PDFs, ZIPs, or Word documents) that explain your project’s features, design, and functionality.
- Submission Deadline: All submissions must be completed by 6:00 PM on April 6, 2025.
Make sure your submission is complete and accessible so that our judges can fully evaluate your work!

Judging Schedule (April 6, 2025 at COB2 130):
6:00 – 7:00 PM: Project Judging – Judges will speak with teams. 7:00 – 7:30 PM: Judges Deliberation – Judges deliberate on winners. 7:30 – 8:00 PM: Final Winners and Closing Ceremony – Winners are announced. -
Projects will be evaluated on a 1-10 scale in the following five categories:
