// Our Manifesto

THE
MISSION

SharkHack 2026 is a punk-rock inspired hackathon where builders will reclaim technology and create on their own terms, to be loud, bold, and original. This is a space for rebellious ideas, creative experimentation, and people who want to challenge the status quo of tech. Join us to break conventions, build something real, and prove the future of tech belongs to its makers.

WHAT WE STAND FOR
  • Technology that serves communities
  • Open doors, beginners belong here as much as experts
  • Being bold and authentic, creating something honest and meaningful
  • Mentorship from builders who've been in the trenches

GOT
ANSWERS

Any university or college student. Your major doesn't matter. Your experience level doesn't matter. You are welcome to join.
Up to 4 people. Come with a team or find your crew during the formation session at the start of the event.
Nope! Participation is free, meals are free, swag is free. That's the whole point, come and have fun!
No, some of the best projects start as a vague feeling. We have brainstorm sessions and workshops to spark ideas too.
Laptop, charger, student ID, anything you want to hack with. Sleeping bag if you're going overnight mode.
Impact, technical execution, design, and presentation. We care about what it does more than how many libraries you imported.
