Dates

  • The Sillycon Valley Hackathon takes place February 13–14
  • All project work must be completed during the official hackathon period

Eligibility

  • Participants must have:

    • Registered for the hackathon on Rubric (teams will be cross referenced with Rubric team registrations)

    • Competed in teams of exactly 3

    • Been present with their team at the event

Project and Submission Requirements

  • A project built during the hackathon, try to be original!

  • A clear project description (What the project does, how AI is used, why is it creative, etc.)

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to top teams as determined by the judges. Categories will include (but are not limited to): 

  • First place
  • Second place
  • Third place

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection

Projects will be evaluated based on:

  • Creativity & originality
  • Clever or surprising use of AI
  • Clarity of idea and demo

Judges will select winners at their discretion, and all decisions are final.

Code of Conduct

All participants are expected to behave respectfully and professionally.
Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

Failure to comply may result in disqualification.
