High School Students!
Be a part of the change! Are you interested in art and design? Are you competitive? Are you a high school student?
In conjunction with the TEDx Crenshaw youth event, the DesignJam Club and Designmatters at ArtCenter College of Design are organizing a creative event, SoLA DesignJam, for ArtCenter students to partner with the youth of South Los Angeles (SoLa). ArtCenter students will have the opportunity to mentor teens as they work together to come up with innovative solutions for local non-profits.
Homeboy Industries and The Ezrach Braintrust have created design briefs that cover a diverse range of projects from environmental design, interaction design, product design, and more! Over the course of the week from 9/26/2020 - 10/03/2020, high school students along with ArtCenter students will develop projects to meet the design brief. The projects will be judged by the non-profit organization, industry professionals, and leaders throughout the South Los Angeles community.
The winning group will win an ArtCenter ACX Scholarship and a virtual tour of the ArtCenter campus and swag! The deadline to apply is Friday, 9/25 by 5pm PDT. Contact [email protected] with any questions.
