1. Who is the data controller of your personal information?
The SolydXK Community site is maintained by a group of volunteers, is
not for profit and not connected to any business. If you wish to contact
us, you can find our contact details at the end of this privacy policy.
2. Unavoidable collection of personal information
We collect personal data if it is technically or legally necessary to
run our server and we delete it as soon as possible without compromising
server security or legal obligations. We also collect personal data you
provided, especially if you asked us to do so (consent). In that case you
can withdraw your consent whenever you wish and delete the personal data
yourself through the interface provided by us. We may need to keep data
you provided by correspondence if this is necessary for our legitimate
interests. The following personal data is collected:
- If you merely visit our website:
IP address, operating system and browser type, Uniform Resource Locator
(URL) - transferred by your webbrowser - are logged in the server log.
We need this information to protect our site against attacks and spam.
We delete the server log after 2 weeks.
- If you download, pull or deploy images or packages without registration:
The server will see your IP address but that information is not stored,
other than in the log mentioned above.
- If you log in to use our forum, additionally:
- Nick name and e-mail address as you provide it - without this data
we cannot operate a forum. We keep this data until you delete your
account.
- Other personal data that you actively provide for your forum profile.
You can edit or delete this data at any time through your profile
interface.
- A cookie (*) to handle your authentication and your site settings.
You can change the settings of your browser to delete the cookie and
to modify the permissions for the storing of and gaining access to
cookies on your device.
- If you post content on our forum, additionally:
Content you posted yourself. We do not allow personal information in
posted content. Please make sure that you respect this condition. If
you posted personal information by mistake you can edit it yourself as
long as you are logged in.
- If you contact us, send us an inquiry or post to our forum, additionally:
Name, e-mail address, IP address, information on our communication
with you and any additional information you provide us with. We delete
this data as soon as it is not required for our legitimate interests.
3. Security of personal data
SolydXK Community takes the protection of your data seriously and
takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access,
unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. If you have the
impression that your data is not properly secured or there are indications
of abuse, please contact us.
We do not intend to collect data about website visitors under the age
of 16 years, unless they have permission from parents or guardians. If
you are under age 16, please do not give us any personal data. However,
we can not check if a visitor is at least 16 years. We encourage parents
to be involved in the online activities of their children, in order to
prevent data about children being collected without parental consent.
If you are convinced that we have collected personal information about a
minor without this consent, please contact us and we will delete this
information.
4. What do we use your personal information for and do we share it?
We will only use your information for the purposes for which we have
collected it. We will not use your information for other purposes,
especially not for marketing of any kind.
We also do not integrate third party tracking by social media services
or advertising services.
We will not share your personal information with any third parties
except with law enforcement, regulators and other parties as required by
law, but only if we reasonably believe that such action is necessary to:
(a) comply with the law and the requests of law enforcement;
(b) enforce our legal claims or protect the security or integrity
of our server or of ourselves.
Our server is located in the European Union. We do not transfer any
personal information to countries outside of the EU.
5. Rights held by citizens of the European Union
If you wish to exercise one of these rights, please use the interface
we provide to registered users. If you are not a registered user contact
us using the contact details below.
- Right to view, correct or delete your personal data and the right to withdraw your consent
We provide an interface for these use cases via the personal settings
of your account. You can delete your forum account from the User Control
Panel. When your personal data is removed from the forum, your forum
posts will be anonymized. Anonymized forum posts are not considered
personal data but published content. For this reason you are not
allowed to include any personal data in your postings.
- Right to restriction
The right to obtain restriction of the processing undertaken by us on
your personal information in certain circumstances, such as, where the
accuracy of the personal information is contested by you, for a period
of time enabling us to verify the accuracy of that personal information.
- Right to portability
The right to portability allows you to move, copy or transfer personal
information easily from one organization to another.
- Right to object
You have the right to object to any processing based on your legitimate
interests where there are grounds relating to your particular situation.
You can object to marketing activities for whatever reason whatsoever.
- Right to data portability and the right to to object to the processing of your personal data
If you wish to exercise your right of objection and/or right to data
portability or if you have other questions/comments about data processing,
please send a specified request to our contact details below. In order
to ensure that the request for access has been made by you, we ask you
to provide the account's login information: the registered user e-mail
address and the current password. SolydXK Community will respond to
your request as soon as possible, but in any case within four weeks.
- Right to complain

(*) Addendum: What are cookies?

How long will cookies stay on your browsing device?
