A huge thank you to the WordPress community! SpeedyCache has crossed 600,000 active installs on WordPress, and this milestone wouldn’t be possible without your continued support and trust.

2025 has been a remarkable year. From 200,000 active installs at the start of the year to 600,000 today, we’ve achieved an impressive 200% growth.

This year, we made substantial improvements on top of our solid foundation, resulting in a more stable and easier-to-use SpeedyCache.

We couldn't have done it without you. Thank you for your support and feedback—they've shaped SpeedyCache into what it is today. Your support drives us forward.

SpeedyCache Version 1.3.7 Launched

We have launched SpeedyCache 1.3.7. This release comes with a new feature and some improvements.

The changes made are listed below:-

[Feature Pro] Auto optimization for the database added.

[Improvement] Other and Bunny CDN will add it's URL as preconnect when enabled.

[Bug Fix Pro] There was an issue with flushing of the DB in the Object cache that has been fixed.

We have launched SpeedyCache 1.3.6. This release comes with a few bug fixes.

The changes made are listed below:-

[Improvement Pro] Improved the handling of Object cache config.

[Improvement] On some websites, the SpeedyCache settings page was taking longer to load; this has been improved.

[Bug-Fix Pro] There was an issue with the Local Google fonts feature, which was causing the generation of PHP Notices, which has been fixed.

We’re excited to announce that SpeedyCache has hit a major milestone: 500,000 active installs on WordPress sites around the globe! This achievement highlights the trust we've built with the community.

From the start, our goal has been simple—to help you speed up your WordPress sites easily and effectively. Whether you're running a blog, an online store, or a business site, we're grateful to be part of your success. Reaching this half-million mark fills us with pride and motivates us to keep improving.

We couldn't have done it without you. Thank you for your support, feedback, and positive reviews—they've shaped SpeedyCache into what it is today. Your input drives us forward.

Here is the list of a few things we released in last few months in SpeedyCache :-

Import and exports: Now you can easily share configs between different sites.

Edit Speculation Mode: As WordPress added Speculation mode in WordPress 6.8, but it comes with a conservative option set by default, so we added the option to edit Eagerness and speculation mode.

Improved Preload resource: We have added options to set the device and fetch priority for the preloaded resources. Adding fetch priority to preloads helps the browser understand which resource to prioritise first, which is meant to help improve LCP.

Improved Automatic Image Optimisation: We have improved the Auto Image optimisation feature; it was making the build cache page load slower; we have improved that, and in the next version, we will be making it even faster.

SpeedyCache Version 1.3.5 Launched

We have launched SpeedyCache 1.3.5. This release comes with some new features a few bug fixes.

The changes made are listed below:-

[Feature] Import and export of SpeedyCache settings.

[Feature] You can now edit Speculation loading mode and eagerness.

[Improvement Pro] Preload Resources now has an option to set device and fetch priority.

[Improvement] Minor improvements to the user experience.

[Task Pro] Auto Optimisation now runs with a reduced scheduling gap of 30 seconds, and a limit of 10 images per page has been introduced to reduce load.

[Bug-Fix Pro] An issue with reverting optimized images has been fixed.

[Bug-Fix Pro] The 'Remove Google Fonts' feature was not working as expected. This has now been fixed.

[Bug-Fix Pro] Previously, if the Redis server became unavailable, disabling Object Cache could lead to errors. This issue has been resolved.

[Bug-Fix Pro] Some icons in image optimization tag were not loading, this has been fixed.

[Bug-Fix] There was an issue deletion of term ancestors that has been fixed.

[Bug-Fix] Previously, when Minify CSS was enabled, relative CSS URLs starting with /wp-content would break. This issue has now been fixed.

[Bug-Fix] There was an issue with the Speculation rule getting deferred; this has been fixed.

[Bug-Fix] WooCommerce wc-cart-checkout-vendors-frontend.js script was breaking when minified, and that has been fixed.

[Bug-Fix] Exact exclude was not working this has been fixed.

We have launched SpeedyCache 1.3.4. This release comes with a few bug fixes.

[Task] A PHP warning has been fixed.

[Bug-Fix] Some characters were loading as ? when the page was cached, this has been fixed.

[Bug-Fix] Cookie and Useragent excludes were not working properly that has been fixed.

[Bug-Fix] Icon not loading properly when using Minify CSS has been fixed.

[Bug-Fix Pro] Critical CSS and Unused CSS has been improved to reduce the load on server caused by the cron.

[Bug-Fix Pro] Specualtionrule script has been excluded from delay JS, it was breaking the JS for some sites.

[Bug-Fix Pro] Image optimize on upload was not working that has been fixed.

[Bug-Fix Pro] Deletion of optimized image when the attachment is deleted was not working and has been fixed.

SpeedyCache Reaches a Milestone: 400,000 Active Installs!

We are happy to announce that SpeedyCache has crossed 400K active installs on WordPress. Our users' trust in our plugin has contributed to this tremendous growth. It took just a little over 2 months to add 1 lakh Active installs.

A product cannot flourish without user support, so we want to thank all our users for helping us reach this milestone. We will continue striving to improve SpeedyCache.

In our last milestone we mentioned that we will add Memcached and Delay JS exclusion list and here is the update on that:-

Memcached support has been developed and is being rigorously tested

The Delay JS exclusion list has been added, and we will continue to improve it over time.
