Comment on The News Line- a Trotskyist daily paper by timjoem https://splitsandfusions.wordpress.com/2026/01/20/the-news-line-a-trotskyist-daily-paper/comment-page-1/#comment-2062 Tue, 20 Jan 2026 12:37:46 +0000 http://splitsandfusions.wordpress.com/?p=6015#comment-2062 You do realise youar are tongue in cheek – setting yourself up for mass donations – but seriously congratulations on doing what you have done – revolutionary history needs its archive of the good, the bad and the ugly …

If you ever come across a spare physical copy of the ‘Midnight in the Century’ edition of LM I would appreciate it – its been a bit of a rollercoaster for me since you visited – not just Palestine solidarity – which you know was the breach issue for me with the Spiked core – but aside from reading groups – I had a cardiac arrest 9 months ago – still here but a bit slower …

So happy new year to you and all strength …

Is there any intention / method to share your content into the MIA archive for wider access? Or do the MIA team view your archive as warily as you do Newsline 😉 …

I believe you still have some originals from my collection but I haven’t had the energy to arrange a possible pickup …

Thanks for your efforts – very best regards

It was produced by the ORA in around 74.

Comment on “Can the Unions Defeat the Tories?” asked Labour Action… by Rob M https://splitsandfusions.wordpress.com/2025/05/29/can-the-unions-defeat-the-tories-asked-labour-action/comment-page-1/#comment-2056 Mon, 30 Jun 2025 20:23:39 +0000 http://splitsandfusions.wordpress.com/?p=5880#comment-2056 In reply to Harry Vince.

Thanks for getting in touch and clearing a couple of things up. I need to amend and re-write this post! The pamphlet turned up in the second-hand donated section in Housmans. There was no related material with it, that I recall.

Comment on “Can the Unions Defeat the Tories?” asked Labour Action… by Harry Vince https://splitsandfusions.wordpress.com/2025/05/29/can-the-unions-defeat-the-tories-asked-labour-action/comment-page-1/#comment-2055 Mon, 30 Jun 2025 06:11:38 +0000 http://splitsandfusions.wordpress.com/?p=5880#comment-2055 Labour Action was a small group which was expelled from Workers Fight, worked in the Labour Party and was associated with the Lambert international grouping. It joined with the group around Robin Blick to form the Bulletin Group. Rosebank Road was the address of Ken Stratford, now deceased. How did you come by this pamphlet? Harry Vince

Comment on Another step forwards… by timjoem https://splitsandfusions.wordpress.com/2023/03/07/another-step-forwards/comment-page-1/#comment-2051 Fri, 18 Apr 2025 20:42:04 +0000 http://splitsandfusions.wordpress.com/?p=4416#comment-2051 It was a team effort – as part of the production team – I took delivery from our printers into the party office/library/meeting room opening the first bundle – I immediately saw the typo on the front page …

These were needed for sale on the demo opposing the invasion of Grenada the next day!

Comrades were called in from various activities – I set too to handmake two small silkscreens one to block overprint in white the offending title – the second hand painted letterforms to match and correct the typo …

As the process got underway the stairwell all the way up to the attic offices was turned into an enormous washing line – with cover sheets hanging from clothes pegs or staples – I forget perhaps both – to enable the two printings to dry …

All 2000 of the higher quality white wrap reprinted were sold the next day …

Comment on Marxist Review- magazine of the WRP by Jan Brooker https://splitsandfusions.wordpress.com/2024/12/09/marxist-review-magazine-of-the-wrp/comment-page-1/#comment-2049 Thu, 09 Jan 2025 13:34:09 +0000 http://splitsandfusions.wordpress.com/?p=5751#comment-2049 Are you sure there’s enough masochists out there, who would want to read this stuff, let alone critically comment?

I read [or tried to read] the occasional word stew from the guru himself, back in the day. His brand of Hysterical Materialism always got me! The fact that what he wrote was practically unreadable proved to his acolytes what a genius he was.

Although there’s a couple of ex-WRP members who come onto my fb page, now and again, to correct me [at some length] on some political deviancy or other that I have! Irony and humour not their greatest strengths! 😉

The book by one Alexander, member of the SWP (US), and some documents present in the Internet Marxist Archive constitute the source of materials on the Trotskyist movement in India. The Radical Socialist of Kunal Chattopadhyay, a professor in my department, began with a project to archive the Trotskyist movement in India, though starting only from the Inquilabi Communist Sangathan. Your project inspires me as well as makes me sad and anxious about the missing gaps that we have left behind, thanks to my OCD. I congratulate you, appreciate your work and would like to get in touch with the team/individual behind.

Comment on Bulletin of the Social Labor Movement by Mike Harris https://splitsandfusions.wordpress.com/2024/04/10/bulletin-of-the-social-labor-movement/comment-page-1/#comment-2036 Sat, 31 Aug 2024 20:08:43 +0000 http://splitsandfusions.wordpress.com/?p=5438#comment-2036 I’ve not seen this before. Good stuff. While I don’t share the deleonist perspective, since the 1970s i’ve been curious about their movement. Thanks for this posting.

I’m from India. We have had the Bolshevik-Leninist Party (affiliated with the original Fourth International), Socialist Workers Party, Revolutionary Workers Party, Communist League, Bolshevik-Leninist Group, Inquilabi Communist Sangathan (affiliated with the USFI). Now we have many small groupings with their own publications. The publications of the above mentioned historic parties and tendencies have not been archived with sufficient care. This is the concern I wanted to address.
