Part of the web community.

Web is open and collaborative by nature, and SPX Graphics is built on the same principles. We are happy to integrate with other software and tools, and we are committed to open standards such as OGraf for broadcast graphics. We also have an open-source version of our software, SPX Solo, for those who want to get started with HTML graphics.

96.8%

Our study shows that 96.8% of all broadcast graphics can be done with HTML. Lower thirds, tickers, sport tables, scoreboards, countdowns, news, channel branding, election graphics, and more.

Tracked 3D graphics such as virtual sets and augmented reality are within the 3.2% of graphics that require a dedicated 3D engine, but for the rest, HTML graphics are a great fit.

Bring your design

SPX graphics can be created with any design tool that supports HTML. This includes Adobe After Effects, Rive, Loopic and more. Please read our graphics creation guide for more information about creating graphics for SPX.

If you need help with creating graphics, our Creative Services team is also happy to help and work with your team to create the graphics you need for your production.

OGraf

OGraf is an open graphics specification by EBU - The European Broadcasting Union. SPX Graphics is a founding member of the OGraf working group and all our products are compliant with the OGraf format.

Industry as a whole is increasingly adopting the OGraf standard while transitioning to open HTML graphics standards from closed proprietary formats.
