Honoring Team Culture, Strengthening Bonds: A Joyful Recap of Startise’s 6th Pitha Utshob 2026 https://startise.com/core-team-culture-startises-pitha-utshob-2026/ Sun, 25 Jan 2026 15:00:00 +0000 https://startise.com/?p=2787 Here at Startise, we began the new year with a grand celebration, Pitha Utshob 2026, which has become a cherished tradition for our team. If you already follow Startise, you are aware that Startise has established a legacy in team culture by celebrating diverse team activities throughout the year. And this one, Startise Pitha Utshob 2026, stands out because it represents the workplace and Bengali tradition, as well as teamwork and celebration.

This year’s Pitha Utshob was an absolute success. We decorated our workplace from scratch, brought more varieties of Bangladeshi pitha, and had a festive afternoon, a much-needed break from our daily work routine, to begin the new year with renewed enthusiasm and more aligned team goals that we hope to achieve in 2026.

In this blog, we are sharing a sneak peek at what happened at Startise Pitha Utshob 2026 and how we turned an ordinary workday into a colorful and joyful celebration.

Startise Pitha Utshob 2026

For the 6th time, We Celebrated Startise Pitha Uthsob 2026 🥳

We have made some incredible events, like Family Day and Sports Day, mandatory in our yearly book as part of our annual tradition at Startise. Among them, Pitha Utshob is the most special one. And, we are delighted to announce that we have organized Startise Pitha Utshob for the sixth year in a row. It has become one of the most anticipated events for all Startise team members, with everyone looking forward to it all year. This year was no exception; we began longing for the day as soon as the winter season began, and it finally occurred on January 22, 2026, in our workplace premises, maintaining tradition. The event was held at our office rooftop.

This year, like previous years, Pitha Utshob 2026 was a mix of what has become a Startise tradition, something exceptional and new, and some exciting surprises. We tried to bring together everything needed for fun, laughter and celebrations in one place.

60+ Varieties of Bangladeshi Pithas Were Presented by Our Beloved Teammates

As it was Startise Pitha Utshob 2026, the main attraction was undoubtedly delicious pithas, which were represented by team members. Pitha and winter have become synonymous in Bangladeshi households. So we cannot believe the winter season will pass without a pitha celebration. Startise values tradition and strives to incorporate it into our team culture.

Startise Pitha Utshob 2026 stands out because the team members brought delicious pithas by themselves from all over the country. We formed groups and brainstormed what would be delicious and unique for the other team members. The sweetest part was that some teammates brought pithas that they made themselves. And those were the main attractions. We are grateful to have such creative team members who are preserving Bangladesh’s pitha tradition while also working on their daily modern-day responsibilities.

This year, our teammates presented 60+ varieties of pithas, turning the celebration into a grand feast. We had Patishapta, Puli Pitha, Bhapa Pitha, Chitoi Pitha, Dudh Puli, Tel Pitha, Nakshi Pitha, Lobongo Lotika, Pakkan Pitha and the list goes on. To bring different tastes, some teammates brought savory items like duck curry, handy beef, momo, chicken fry and so on. Bengali sweetmeat is also part of our every celebration, so our team members made sure to include various types of sweets like Malai chop, Roshogolla, pastries, etc.

Arranged a Unique Surprise for Team Members, Brought Live Food Station

The exceptional arrangement of this Pitha Utshob 2026 was 3 types of live food stations. There was a live pitha station serving Vapa Pitha & Chitoi Pitha with exclusively prepared Chatneys (Relishes). Also, there was a fresh juice corner and a special tea station serving Kushtia’s ‘Malay cha & pora ruti’ (tea and sweet loaf), the most popular and hyped beverage of Bangladesh. All of these mouthwatering foods simply brightened the entire event’s mood.

Turned Our Workplace into a Festival Hub with Live Music

Musical events were another main attraction of Pitha Utshob 2026. It has become our tradition to end the evening with chanted melodies played by our very own team members. Talented team members sat together after the heavy feast and sang all the classic songs that touched all of our souls. From the versatile Bangla song collection, we sang songs from every comfort genre.

Noteworthy Mention to Amazing Team Spirit & Collaboration for Stunning Decorations

Although Pitha Utshob 2026 was a one-day event, the preparation started weeks earlier with great excitement and teamwork. One of the most special parts of Startise Pitha Utshob is that all planning and decorations are done entirely by our team members. After office hours, many of them stayed back willingly, spending extra time designing, crafting, and arranging every detail. From handmade decoration pieces to invitation cards, everything was created from scratch with creativity and care. The decoration process itself became a joyful experience, where laughter, ideas, and collaboration filled the space, turning hard work into memorable moments.

Through this blog, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to every team member who poured their passion, time, and talent into making this traditional celebration so beautiful and meaningful. Your creativity, dedication, and teamwork not only made the event successful but also showed the true spirit of togetherness that makes Startise Pitha Utshob truly unique. Thank you for giving us such a warm, vibrant, and unforgettable celebration.

As a team, we had a great time this year, especially the new members, who were captivated by the brightness and festiveness of their daily office routine.

This massive ecosystem encompasses hosting services, theme and plugin development, maintenance services and the broader web development community.

Key Market Indicators of the WordPress Ecosystem

The plugin market specifically represents a rapidly growing segment within this ecosystem. An insightful report by Verified Market Research estimates the WordPress plugins market at $1.32 billion in 2023, with projections showing growth to $1.56 billion by 2031, representing a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 2.38% from 2024 to 2031. Industry Analysis: Consolidation, Acquisitions And Market Dynamics

Let us dive deeper into the WordPress industry analysis and take a look at factors like consolidation, acquisitions and market dynamics in a nutshell.

The Great WordPress Consolidation

The WordPress plugin and hosting industry has experienced significant consolidation over the past decade, fundamentally altering the competitive landscape. This consolidation has been driven by private equity investments, strategic acquisitions by hosting companies and the need for smaller companies to scale operations and customer support. We will now explore the major acquisition timeline in the ecosystem:

Acquisitions by Awesome Motive

Awesome Motive has purchased over 30 software companies, primarily within the WordPress ecosystem. Examples include:

  • 2016: MonsterInsights
  • 2020: All in One SEO (AIOSEO)
  • 2023: Duplicator, Thrive Themes, MemberMouse
  • 2024: BuddyBoss, LowFruits, Beacon

Newfold Digital (EIG) Empire

Newfold Digital, formed from the merger of Endurance International Group and Web.com, has become the largest consolidator in the WordPress space:

  • 2010-2012: Multiple hosting brand acquisitions, including Bluehost and HostGator
  • 2011: Domain.com acquisition
  • August 2021: Yoast was acquired for an undisclosed amount

GoDaddy’s Strategic Acquisitions

  • September 2016: ManageWP (WordPress management platform)
  • September 2020: SkyVerge (WooCommerce extensions)
  • November 2021: Pagely (managed WordPress hosting)

Besides, there are more acquisition stories, such as GiveWP, which was acquired by Liquid Web in 2021. Liquid Web, a hosting provider, established StellarWP to manage a portfolio of popular WordPress plugins. GiveWP is one of several brands within the StellarWP group, alongside others like LearnDash and The Events Calendar.

The Post-Pandemic WordPress Boom: A Reality Check

The period from 2020 to 2025 undeniably acted as a massive accelerator for the WordPress ecosystem, although some of the circulating statistics can be hard to pin down. What is clear is that the ‘surge‘ was real. Rather than a specific percentage of new sites, the most telling metric is WordPress’s total market share, which saw its largest single-year growth on record during the pandemic, jumping from 35.4% of all websites in early 2020 to a staggering 43% by the start of 2022.

This growth was primarily fueled by an eCommerce explosion. Data shows the number of active WooCommerce stores grew by over 81% in 2021 alone, solidifying its market dominance. This sudden rush to digital, however, had a clear side effect. The demand for security plugins was a direct response to a frightening spike in threats. A 2024 report from Wordfence noted a staggering 149% year-over-year increase in high-threat vulnerabilities.

Finally, the boom in essential business tools is undeniable. While specific growth stats for form and analytics plugins are elusive, their dominance is self-evident: plugins for lead generation like WPForms (boasting over 6 million installations) and SEO/analytics tools like Yoast SEO (with over 10 million users) remain some of the most-installed plugins in the world, proving that new businesses were focused on one thing: turning new traffic into measurable results.

Market Concentration and Innovation

The WordPress plugin market shows strong concentration, as the top 15 companies collectively generate over 6 billion downloads. Remarkably, the top 5 alone contribute around 4.44 billion, more than 70% of the 6+ billion downloads by the top 15 companies. This concentration raises important questions about innovation, competition and the future of the WordPress ecosystem.

Strategic Benefits & Challenges Hosting Companies Bring to Plugin Development

The consolidation of the WordPress ecosystem through hosting companies acquiring independent plugin businesses has created deep structural shifts. Beyond business implications, this trend directly influences technical priorities, development workflows and plugin–infrastructure alignment across the ecosystem.

1. Deeper Integration Benefits (Technical Perspective)

Acquisitions allow hosting providers to engineer tighter coupling between server environments and plugin architecture. This results in several advanced technical advantages:

  • Environment-Level Optimizations: Plugin code can be optimized for server stack specifics (Nginx/Apache rulesets, OPcache tuning, object caching, Redis/Memcached integration).
  • Predictable Infrastructure: Engineering teams can build features assuming consistent PHP versions, database engines and caching layers—reducing edge-case failures.
  • Automated Provisioning: Plugins can leverage host-managed cron replacements, queue workers, CDN routing, or security firewalls for faster performance.
  • Unified Update Pipeline: Hosting companies often integrate plugin updates into their own deployment pipelines, reducing compatibility breakage and PHP version mismatch issues.

This kind of deep coupling is nearly impossible for independent plugin teams who must support thousands of heterogeneous hosting environments.

2. Resource Allocation with Infrastructure-Level Support

When plugin teams join hosting companies, they gain access to far more than just money—they gain infrastructure privileges that directly improve development output:

  • Dedicated staging and load-testing environments for performance benchmarking
  • Access to internal server logs and telemetry data to understand real-world plugin bottlenecks
  • Advanced QA systems that test plugins at scale across multi-tenant hosting architectures
  • Security teams that help harden plugins against exploits such as privilege escalation, nonce misuse, or file upload vulnerabilities
  • DevOps and SRE support enabling plugins to work better with scalable hosting systems, containerized environments and auto-healing servers

This results in higher reliability, fewer compatibility bugs and significantly faster issue diagnosis.

3. Innovation Constraints from Ecosystem Consolidation

While hosting-backed development enhances stability, it also introduces technical constraints:

  • Controlled Feature Roadmaps: Plugin engineering often prioritizes features aligned with hosting products (e.g., performance dashboards, staging tools, caching integrations).
  • Reduced Experimental Risk: Independent developers often build bold, experimental features—whereas corporate teams prefer predictable, low-risk enhancements.
  • Uniform Code Practices: Strict internal coding standards and compliance requirements can slow down creative or unconventional engineering solutions.
  • Infrastructure Lock-In: Plugins may be engineered to rely on host-specific features, making it harder for users to switch hosting providers.

This can gradually homogenize plugin capabilities and reduce the diversity of technical innovation within the ecosystem.

4. Pricing Strategies Linked to Infrastructure and Plugin Bundling

Hosting acquisitions also reshape pricing through infrastructure-driven bundling models:

  • Plugins packaged into hosting tiers (e.g., premium caching, SEO tools, security plugins included with plans).
  • Server-level dependencies push customers toward managed hosting instead of standalone plugin purchases.
  • Shift to subscription ecosystems where plugins become part of broader platform value rather than standalone products.
  • Reduced pricing flexibility because plugin monetization must align with hosting ARPU (average revenue per user) and churn goals.

Technically, this often leads to plugins being designed with stronger platform dependencies—making them perform best (or only fully) on the acquiring host’s environment.

5. Long-Term Sustainability Challenges

Despite the technical and resource advantages, hosting-backed plugin development faces significant long-term risks:

  • Plugin Neglect and Abandonment: Over time, acquired plugins can lose their original vision and ‘soul‘, especially if they no longer align with the hosting company’s strategic priorities. Many plugins end up being deprecated or discontinued 4–5 years post-acquisition.
  • Limited Maintenance Expertise: Hosting companies often excel in infrastructure management, but they may lack the specialized development knowledge or product focus needed to sustain complex plugin ecosystems.
  • Community Alienation: Original user and developer communities can feel sidelined, reducing feedback loops and slowing innovation.
  • Dependency Risks: Plugins engineered to rely heavily on host-specific features may struggle to survive if the hosting company decides to discontinue support or pivot its business model.

This highlights that consolidation can bring stability in the short term, but it often undermines long-term plugin health, diversity, and independent innovation.

Future Outlook: WordPress Plugin Ecosystem 2025–2030

Between 2025 and 2030, the WordPress plugin ecosystem is expected to evolve in alignment with technological innovation, user expectations and global regulatory changes. Several defining trends are emerging that will shape the competitive and functional landscape of plugin development.

1. AI Integration

AI will soon become a core layer in major WordPress plugins, powering automated content creation, smarter SEO, richer analytics and personalized user experiences. With AI agents and machine-learning models integrated directly into plugins, WordPress is moving toward a new era of highly efficient, increasingly autonomous functionality.

The web development landscape took a major leap forward with Matt Mullenweg’s unveiling of Telex at WordCamp US 2025—an experimental WordPress AI tool that turns simple text prompts into fully functional website blocks. This, along with WordPress’s new dedicated AI team, marks a bold shift toward AI-driven innovation that could redefine how websites are built. Mullenweg also highlighted upcoming improvements to WordPress, including stronger plugin & theme security, thoughtful AI integration, reduced technical debt & clearer governance and succession planning.

2. Block Editor Evolution

The continued evolution of the Gutenberg block editor will accelerate the shift toward block-native plugin architectures. Developers are increasingly designing modular, component-based features that integrate seamlessly into the full-site editing (FSE) framework. This transition will enhance consistency, usability and long-term compatibility across themes and plugins.

3. Performance Optimization

With growing emphasis on Core Web Vitals and search engine ranking factors, plugin developers will prioritize lightweight codebases and performance optimization. Caching, image compression and asynchronous loading mechanisms will become standard expectations, reinforcing the demand for efficient, high-performance plugins.

4. Privacy Compliance

As data protection regulations expand globally, privacy compliance will become an essential design requirement. Plugins will increasingly include built-in consent mechanisms, anonymization tools and transparent data management processes to meet GDPR, CCPA and similar regulatory frameworks.

5. Mobile-First Design

Given the dominance of mobile traffic in global web usage, plugin developers will continue to adopt a mobile-first approach. Responsive layouts, adaptive user interfaces and optimized mobile performance will form the baseline for competitive plugin offerings.

6. The Evolving Role of WordPress Theme Companies (2025–2030)

Theme companies remain one of the core pillars of the WordPress ecosystem and their role is undergoing a profound transformation driven by Gutenberg, AI and ongoing market consolidation. The classic ‘single theme‘ model is rapidly dissolving as the industry shifts toward design systems—collections of block-based design libraries, template kits and pattern bundles built for full-site editing.

Instead of acting as traditional theme builders, companies are evolving into design system providers, focusing on modular, block-native assets that integrate seamlessly with Gutenberg’s architecture. This shift is further strengthened by hybrid ecosystems where themes serve as lightweight visual shells while plugins deliver interactivity, dynamic features and AI-powered capabilities. Global styles and design tokens are replacing legacy options pages, creating a unified and maintainable approach to design consistency.

AI will accelerate this transformation even further. Theme companies are already experimenting with AI-generated layouts, pattern libraries and brand-based design systems that can assemble a complete website in minutes. Over the next five years, themes are expected to become adaptive—automatically optimizing design elements based on user behavior, analytics and content structure.

This period will also mark the beginning of autonomous theme-building workflows where AI handles template creation, typography decisions and page structure generation. Combined with an industry-wide push toward bare-metal performance, zero-bloat architectures and native Interactivity API adoption, the most competitive theme providers will focus on delivering ultra-fast, block-first experiences.

As consolidation increases—with theme companies merging into hosting providers, plugin companies and page builder ecosystems—future platforms will offer vertically integrated bundles where themes, plugins, AI tools and hosting coexist as a single, optimized environment.

Challenges And Opportunities

The WordPress plugin ecosystem faces a dual narrative of challenge and opportunity as it adapts to an increasingly competitive and technologically complex environment.

Challenges

  • Competition from All-in-One Platforms: The growth of all-in-one website builders such as Wix, Squarespace and Webflow poses a strategic challenge. These platforms reduce dependence on third-party plugins by offering fully integrated solutions, appealing to users seeking simplicity over flexibility.
  • Security and Maintenance Risks: With thousands of third-party plugins available, vulnerabilities arising from outdated code and poor maintenance practices continue to pose a significant risk to site integrity and user trust. In fact, a 2024 report from Wordfence noted a staggering 149% year-over-year increase in high-threat vulnerabilities in the WordPress ecosystem.
  • Compatibility Issues: Fragmentation across the WordPress ecosystem frequently results in plugin conflicts, particularly after core updates. Maintaining compatibility with themes and third-party extensions remains a persistent technical challenge.
  • Market Saturation: Popular plugin categories—such as SEO, form builders and caching solutions—are approaching saturation, making differentiation and market penetration increasingly difficult for new entrants.

Opportunities

  • Integration with Emerging Technologies: Advancements in AI, Internet of Things (IoT) and extended reality (AR/VR) present opportunities for developers to create next-generation plugin functionalities that extend WordPress beyond traditional website management.
  • Expansion into Enterprise and Government Sectors: As WordPress gains adoption in large-scale and institutional environments, developers have opportunities to build enterprise-grade plugins with enhanced security, compliance and scalability features.
  • Niche-Specific Plugin Development: Targeting industry-specific requirements—such as healthcare compliance, education platforms, or specialized eCommerce solutions—can provide differentiation and higher value propositions within saturated markets.
  • Global Market Expansion: Emerging economies continue to drive new WordPress adoption. Developing localized plugins and multilingual support solutions offers access to rapidly growing user bases and under-served markets.

And this year, on October 9th, 2025, that belief came true at the Startise Family Day 2025.  In a heartwarming, day-long celebration, Startise brought the entire team and their loved ones together for a day full of fun, laughter, shared success and recognition. As part of the event, Startise also distributed its annual profit among its team members, honoring everyone’s hard work and dedication that drove its success. The day reflected everything that makes Startise truly special — its people.

Startise Family Day 2025

A Day Dedicated to the Spirit of Startise: Celebrating Achievements & Inspiring Innovation

Held at a beautiful resort in Dhaka, team Startise welcomed their families and loved ones, who form the foundation of the Startise community to this day-long event of joy and heartfelt moments. It was a day to step back from our screens, set aside our project deadlines, celebrate collective wins and the remarkable journey we have shared over the past year.

Over the past year, Startise has reached remarkable milestones, made bold innovations, and continued to grow globally. To recognize these contributions, the event featured special appreciation segments, profit-share distribution, and awards for outstanding performers and teams. It was our way of saying thank you to the people who make every success possible.

The day stood as a powerful reminder that innovation flourishes in environments where people feel valued, supported, and celebrated.

Recognizing Excellence: Profit Share Distribution

The highlight of the Startise Family Day 2025 was the annual Profit Share Distribution.

Team Startise distributed last year’s profit share among every employee (130+ people), including the newest team members, reaffirming and representing the company’s commitment to shared prosperity and inclusive growth.

This initiative, practiced by only a select few companies globally, makes Startise stand out in Bangladesh as one of the only tech companies to share profits across its entire team beyond regular salaries and bonuses.

Every team member’s contribution, whether they are writing code, managing projects, supporting operations, marketing products or interfacing with clients, adds to our collective success.

Looking at the smiling faces as families celebrated together, we were reminded that business success is ultimately about people. When we invest in our employees, share prosperity and say “thank you”, we can build something truly special.

Honoring Creativity: AI Innovation Challenge Awards

Innovation is in Startise’s soul, and the AI Innovation Challenge 2025 showcased this brilliance in full color. A few months ago, the challenge invited team members to push boundaries, think differently, and explore how artificial intelligence could solve real-world problems for our clients and internal operations.

The response was nothing short of extraordinary. Team members came forward with remarkable enthusiasm, showcasing diverse perspectives, unique ideas, and impressive skills. From a pool of outstanding submissions, the judging panel carefully selected 29 exceptional projects, ultimately crowning 6 winners for their innovation and impact in this AI Innovation Challenge.

The winners were rewarded with an exciting prize pool, which consisted of not just prize money, but also tools and tech subscriptions that will help them unlock their potential even more! Our leadership team proudly honored the winners on stage, celebrating their creativity and contribution to Startise’s journey.

Besides these, there were 6 more Honorable Mentions to encourage brilliant ideas and projects that can shape the future of our products and workflow.

Monthly Rewards Distribution

While big initiatives like profit sharing and innovation challenges rightfully take center stage, team Startise also took time during Family Day to recognize notable employees with Monthly Rewards. It is a monthly initiative that recognizes outstanding contributions by individuals every month, to show appreciation and to inspire.

These recognitions, combined with the profit share and innovation awards, reflect Startise’s continuous effort to build a culture of appreciation where dedication never goes unnoticed.

Sharing Smiles, Games & Joyful Times with a Delicious Feast

After the formal award sessions and recognitions, it was time to relax and enjoy the fun side of Startise Family Day. The place buzzed with the team and their families sharing laughter, playing exciting games, having delicious meals and sharing a good moment together. Every part of the day showed the warmth and togetherness that make Startise special.

The youngest members of our Startise Family made the celebration even more lively. They played fun games and took part in creative activities all day. Their happy smiles and laughter spread to everyone around. The kids’ energy and joy became one of the most heartwarming parts of the day.

As the day went by, team Startise and our families took part together in fun competitions and raffle draws. The lucky winners of the friendly games received prizes, and everyone cheered and clapped for them.

Whether it was parents laughing with their kids or colleagues competing in friendly games, every corner of the venue echoed with warmth and togetherness.

Cherishing Our Journey Together – Looking Ahead

As the day came to an end, we took a moment to reflect on our journey so far. Every milestone, every achievement, and every success has been possible because of the hard work of our team and the support of their families. Family Day reminded us of the strong bond we share at Startise, both at work and beyond. We look forward to many more memories, celebrations, and successes together as one big Startise Family.

xCloud Proudly Sponsors WordCamp Nepal 2025: Powering the Future of Hosting for WordPress https://startise.com/xcloud-proudly-sponsors-wordcamp-nepal-2025/ Mon, 21 Apr 2025 15:00:00 +0000 https://startise.com/?p=2099 We have always believed that community is at the heart of everything WordPress stands for. That is why we were thrilled to be part of WordCamp Nepal 2025 — not just as sponsors, but as true community members, ready to learn, share, and grow together.

This year’s event took place in the vibrant city of Kathmandu, with more than 1,000 WordPress enthusiasts gathering under one roof. From developers and designers to bloggers and business owners — it was three days of meaningful conversations, inspiring sessions, and powerful connections.

As a brand of Startise, xCloud showed up in full force as a Mount Everest Sponsor — and we had one goal: to help power the future of WordPress hosting in Nepal and beyond.

If you stopped by our booth, joined a session, or even shared a coffee with us — thank you. You made this experience unforgettable. 💙

Startise’s Commitment to the WordPress Community

Startise – the team behind brandslike xCloud (our lightning-fast hosting platform) and WPDeveloper, home to some of the most-loved WordPress plugins on the web.

From the very beginning, our mission has been clear: to build tools that empower the WordPress ecosystem and support the people who make it thrive.

Over the years, our brands have been part of WordCamps across the globe — from Asia to Europe and beyond. But events like WordCamp Nepal hold a special place in our hearts. They are packed with local energy, fresh perspectives, and that magical WordPress spirit that brings everyone together — no matter where you are from or how long you have been in the game.

We believe the best way to grow is by giving back — and that is exactly what we aimed to do at WordCamp Nepal 2025.

WordCamp Nepal 2025: Key Highlights

As a Mount Everest Sponsor of WordCamp Nepal 2025, xCloud Hosting came prepared not just to support but to fully engage with the community that makes WordPress thrive. From the early hours of Contributor Day to the closing moments of Conference Day, the energy around our team was electric, and the response from the attendees made every moment count.

WordCamp Nepal 2025

🛠 Contributor Day: A Culture of Giving Back

Contributor Day is often called the “heartbeat” of any WordCamp, and in Kathmandu, that rang especially true. Hundreds of WordPress enthusiasts — from students to seasoned developers — gathered to contribute their skills to the open-source platform. The xCloud Hosting team split into several groups to contribute across key areas:

  • Core & Hosting teams worked on performance enhancements tailored for South Asian users.
  • Others joined Documentation and Training, making WordPress more accessible for first-time users in emerging markets like Nepal.
  • New contributors, many attending their first WordCamp, were welcomed and mentored by xCloud and other community leaders.

As a brand that is part of Startise, xCloud takes immense pride in fostering this kind of culture. WordPress community events in 2025 are about far more than talks — they are about empowering people to contribute, collaborate, and shape the future of the internet together.

🎪 Conference Day: Swags, Conversations & WordPress Fun

Conference Day brought a new kind of energy. With the halls buzzing at the Kundalini Durbar Banquet, xCloud Hosting set up one of the most visited booths of the event. Our interactive challenges, surprise giveaways, and signature swag (yes, those caps and stickers flew off fast!) made it the perfect space to connect and learn.

More than 160 people participated in our “10-second WordPress” game, which tested their knowledge of plugins, themes, and tools in rapid-fire style. The Mega Giveaway — where winners walked away with AirPods — created an extra buzz around the booth, but it was the conversations that left the most lasting impact.

We talked to developers seeking AI-powered WordPress hosting, freelancers looking for affordable yet scalable solutions, and agencies wanting localized performance optimization. These real-world insights are what guide the innovation at xCloud — and by extension, at Startise.

M Asif Rahman’s Session: From Dreaming to Building WordPress Businesses

It would not be WordCamp Nepal 2025 without a little inspiration, and our founder, M Asif Rahman, brought just that to the stage. 🙌

In the panel discussion on, “Building WordPress Businesses: Agencies, Products & Beyond,” he shared the journey that brought him from curious community member to building multi-brand companies like xCloud and WPDeveloper — with a few wins, losses, and hard-earned lessons along the way.

xCloud Proudly Sponsors WordCamp Nepal 2025

The room was packed, and for good reason. He did not just talk business — he talked real talk:

  • How to stay focused when you are building from scratch
  • What it takes to launch and grow a plugin or hosting product
  • Why community involvement is the best growth strategy
  • And how open source can open real doors

After the session, he even joined a question-and-answer session. If you caught the session, you probably left the room with a few notes and a lot of inspiration — we know we did.

The xCloud Booth Buzz: Conversations, Cool Swags & Mega Surprises

Right from the start, the xCloud booth was buzzing with energy and honestly, we could not have asked for a warmer welcome. As a Mount Everest Sponsor, we came ready with plenty of excitement (and yes, swag), but what really made our day? The conversations.

WordCamp Nepal 2025

We got to connect with:

  • Developers curious about performance improvements for Nepali WordPress sites
  • Bloggers looking for hosting that is reliable and affordable
  • Students dropping by with questions about contributing to WordPress
  • Agency owners sharing what it is like to scale in South Asia

And then there were the laughs, the impromptu demos, the “hey, I follow you on Twitter!” moments, and the friendly competition during our 10-second WordPress Challenge (so much fun!). 🎮

Of course, our giveaway was a hit too. We had more than 160 people participate — and the AirPods winners? Let’s just say the cheers were loud. 🏆

What stood out most? Everyone who visited didn’t just want freebies — they wanted to connect, share ideas, and talk about real challenges. That’s what made our booth special. It became more than just a space — it became a hub of possibility.

Looking Ahead: Startise’s Continued Support – See You At Next WordCamp

From the heart of Kathmandu to the heart of the WordPress community, WordCamp Nepal 2025 was a reminder of what truly powers the open web — people. For Startise, it was an honor to support this vibrant event through xCloud Hosting, not just as a Mount Everest Sponsor, but as an active contributor to the ecosystem we love and serve.

As the curtains closed on this year’s WordCamp Nepal, we did notjust pack up our booth — we packed up insights, inspiration, and a stronger-than-ever commitment to supporting WordPress creators across Asia and beyond. We are happy to meet and greet you.And if we did not get to meet you this time? No worries — we are just getting started.
