Eligibility

Open to all residents of Stetson East
-
Teams may include non-Stetson members, but such teams will not be eligible for prizes

Solo participation is allowed
-
Teams must consist of no more than 4 members
-
Participants who signed up individually will be encouraged to form teams at the kickoff
Project and Submission Requirements
To successfully submit a project:

Build a tech-based solution — a website, app, or tool that addresses a real-world problem

Focus on social impact — projects should aim to benefit a community or solve a pressing challenge

Projects may use skills from the workshops (e.g., Flask, React, Node.js, APIs, Postman) or any other tools

Submissions must include:

A project title and clear description
-
Tech stack used
-
GitHub repository or ZIP file of your code
-
Screenshots or a demo link (optional, but encouraged)

Deadline for submission: Sunday, March 30 at 12:00 PM
Prizes
Top 3 Projects (for Stetson-only teams)

1st Place: $60 Amazon Gift Card per team member

2nd Place: $50 Amazon Gift Card per team member

3rd Place: $40 Amazon Gift Card per team member

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection
Projects will be judged by a panel of RAs based on the following criteria:

Impact (25%) — Does the project solve a meaningful problem? Is there social value?

Functionality (25%) — Does the project work well? Is there a working MVP/demo?

Technical Creativity (25%) — How innovative or technically impressive is the solution?
-
Presentation (15%) — Is the project clearly explained on Devpost and during the expo?
-
Learning (10%) — Did the team push themselves, try new tools, or learn something new?
Winners will be announced at the Sunday expo. Judges’ decisions are final.
