St. John's Hacks - Official Rules
Eligibility
- Open to St. John's University undergraduate & graduate students
- All majors are welcome!
- Teams of 2-4 required
- Must be present in-person at St. Augustine Hall, 2nd Floor at St. John's University - Queens Campus
Projects
- No pre-built projects - all projects must be started after the opening ceremony
- Organizers & Judges will be checking to ensure projects are eligible.
- Violations = Disqualification
Allowed Tech
- Use any languages, tools, or frameworks
- The use of AI is allowed
- Cite any external resources, datasets, and APIs used
Submissions
- Each submission must include:
- Project name & short description
- Link to GitHub repo
- 1-2 minute demo (hosted on YouTube or Google Drive)
- Technologies used
- Team member names
- Track category

Tracks
Conduct
- Be kind, respectful, and inclusive
- Harrassment, hate speech, or misconduct will not be tolerated
- Violations can result in removal from the event
