Myself
Software Engineer at Pony.AI working on autonomous driving tech. Before this I was at MemSQL (Seattle), and even earlier Microsoft (Redmond).
I was a Informatics Olympian from 2004 to 2009. Somewhere along the route I picked up interest in Robotics, and has stuck to it ever since. Typical jack-of-all-trades, master of none, with experience spreading across mechanical engineering, electronics, and of course computer science.

The Title
It refers to an ancient Chinese idiom/fable: 井底之蛙/坐井观天.
This serves to constantly remind me to stay humble, stay hungry for knowledge, and avoid getting stuck in an echo chamber like the poor frog.
The Blog
The plan is to write about interesting stuff I come across when I work / hack on something. Although I keep very detailed DevLogs using OneNote on my Surface Pro 4 (which replaced my old X201 Tablet), they are more like scratchpads and organizers and can get pretty verbose. Here I’d like to have more distilled writeups on e.g. lessons learned (most likely the hard way), neat tricks / workarounds, patterns I find useful, and perhaps my journey learning something new.
