Social media can feel overwhelming when you're just getting started. With so many platforms, algorithms, and content formats to think about, it's easy to feel like you need to master everything at once. In reality, building an effective social media presence takes time, consistency, and a willingness to learn as you go. Below are several practical tips and guiding concepts to keep in mind when beginning a real social media effort.

Start with Content Quality and Authenticity

There’s an old adage that remains true no matter how much technology and marketing change: content is king. It’s easy to get stuck thinking tactically about how to “beat the algorithm” or “go viral,” but especially in the beginning, the better approach is to step back and focus on creating content that is genuinely useful and relevant to the audience you already have or the audience you want to attract. Strong social media content starts with quality, not gimmicks.

Just as importantly, don’t feel like every post has to be highly polished. On platforms like Instagram and Facebook, authenticity often performs better than over-produced content. Professionally shot videos and edited assets absolutely have their place, but people also want to see the real side of your business. Showing your team, your day-to-day work, and the personality behind your brand can help build familiarity and trust long before a customer ever picks up the phone.

Expect Surprises and Keep Experimenting

One of the first things you’ll learn about social media is that performance can be unpredictable. Content you don’t expect to do much may end up getting a surprising number of views, while something you worked especially hard on may barely move the needle. That’s completely normal. Social media involves testing, learning, and gradually understanding what your audience responds to.

That’s why it’s so important to build a library of content over time. The more you publish, the more data and experience you have to work with. Patterns become easier to spot, and future decisions become more informed. Don’t be afraid to be bad at something new. Everyone starts somewhere, and experimentation is a necessary part of getting better.

Focus on the Right Platforms and Involve Your Team

When you're starting out, it’s usually best to focus on just one or two platforms instead of trying to be everywhere at once. Every channel has its own quirks, audience expectations, and best practices. A practical place to start is often Facebook and Instagram, since both are owned by Meta and offer some convenient crossover when it comes to posting and account management. At the same time, it’s important to remember that different platforms favor different types of content. YouTube is often better suited for longer-form, more in-depth videos, while Instagram and Facebook Reels or Stories are usually stronger fits for short-form content.

It’s also important to remember that content creation should be collaborative. You do not need to create everything yourself, and in most cases, you shouldn’t. Some of the most effective social media content gives people a chance to meet the humans behind your business before they ever become customers. Featuring technicians, office staff, leadership, or other team members can help build trust and brand familiarity. Encourage participation from people who are comfortable contributing, and stay open to ideas from others. Different perspectives can lead to content you never would have come up with on your own.

Handle Opinions, Have Fun, and Keep Going

The moment you start creating content, you invite opinions. Some people will love what you post. Some won’t connect with it at all. And occasionally, you may get criticism that feels unhelpful or contradictory. That’s simply part of putting creative work into the world. You will never create a piece of content that everyone loves, and that’s okay. The goal is not universal approval. The goal is to create relevant, helpful content for the audience you want to reach and to keep improving over time.

It also helps to make the process enjoyable. Some social platforms naturally lend themselves to lighter, more entertaining content, while others are better for more educational or serious material. TikTok is often more casual and fun, while YouTube can be a great home for longer-form educational videos. No matter the platform, though, it’s worth trying to blend usefulness with personality. Serious topics can still be engaging, and lighter content can still teach something valuable. Over time, as you publish more and learn what resonates, you’ll develop a style and tone that feels natural for both your brand and your audience.

These ideas are simply a starting point, but they can help create a stronger foundation as you begin building a real social media presence. You do not need to have everything figured out on day one. Start small, stay consistent, keep learning, and focus on creating content that feels both useful and true to your brand. As your content library grows, so will your confidence, your clarity, and your ability to create social media content that actually works.

Summer landscaping projects are often booked weeks or even months in advance. Homeowners start planning patios, outdoor kitchens, retaining walls, and full yard transformations long before the first heat wave arrives. If your company waits until mid summer to advertise, you are already behind. Starting your video advertising on Facebook right now gives your landscaping business a head start on the competition and helps you lock in larger projects before your schedule fills up.

Video connects faster than almost any other form of advertising. While postcards, door hangers, and print ads take time to design, produce, and distribute, Facebook video campaigns can launch quickly and begin reaching homeowners within days. That speed matters when homeowners are actively dreaming about their summer outdoor spaces.

Why Facebook Is Ideal for Landscaping Companies

Landscaping is visual by nature. Before and after transformations, time lapse photos, installations, and drone shots of completed projects all help to capture the imagination of prospective homeowners. Facebook’s video platform allows your company to show real results instead of just describing them.

Video advertising also gives you the chance to explain your process. Many homeowners hesitate to start a landscaping project because they are unsure about cost, timeline, or disruption. A short video explaining what to expect during installation can remove uncertainty and increase conversions.

Build Demand Before Peak Season Hits

The biggest mistake landscaping companies make is advertising only when they need more work. By then, homeowners may have already selected another contractor.

Starting Facebook video advertising this spring allows you to build demand early. When homeowners begin requesting quotes in late spring and early summer, your company will already be top of mind. Even if they do not click immediately, repeated exposure increases the likelihood they will remember your name when they are ready to move forward.

Early advertising also helps you secure higher value projects. Large outdoor renovations require more planning. By positioning your company now, you give homeowners time to budget, schedule, and commit before your competitors capture their attention.

Target the Right Neighborhoods

One of the biggest advantages of Facebook video advertising is precise targeting. Landscaping companies can focus on specific zip codes, income levels, homeowner demographics, and property types.

If your company specializes in high end patio installations or outdoor living spaces, your ads can be shown to homeowners most likely to invest in those upgrades. This prevents wasted ad spend and increases the quality of incoming leads.

Retargeting is another powerful feature. If someone watches part of your video or visits your website, you can continue showing them additional content. This repeated exposure increases trust and keeps your business visible throughout their decision making process.

Turn Projects Into Ongoing Marketing Assets

Every completed project can become future marketing fuel. Short clips of installations, customer testimonials, and drone footage of finished yards can all be used in future campaigns.

Over time, your landscaping company builds a library of proof. Instead of relying on stock images or generic messaging, your ads show real work completed in local neighborhoods. That local proof is extremely powerful.

The companies that dominate summer schedules are not always the biggest. They are the most visible. By starting your Facebook video advertising now, you can position your landscaping business to secure more estimates, book larger projects, and head into summer with a full calendar instead of scrambling for work.

Learn more about getting started with Facebook advertising with Superpath, the company contractors have trusted for over 17 years to generate more leads and grow brand awareness.

Basement Waterproofing Companies can Jumpstart their Marketing Visibility this Spring through Targeted Video Advertising that converts https://superpath.com/blog/basement-waterproofing-companies-can-jumpstart-their-marketing-visibility-this-spring-through-targeted-video-advertising-that-converts/ Mon, 02 Mar 2026 17:48:29 +0000 https://superpath.com/?p=9308 The post Basement Waterproofing Companies can Jumpstart their Marketing Visibility this Spring through Targeted Video Advertising that converts appeared first on Superpath.

Spring demand can spike overnight. One heavy rainstorm, one weekend of snowmelt, and homeowners are urgently searching for help. Video advertising allows waterproofing companies to connect with new prospects almost instantly. Unlike direct mail, print ads, or traditional media that can take weeks to design, print, and distribute, digital video campaigns can be launched quickly and start generating visibility within days. When speed matters, video lets contractors get in front of homeowners right when the problem appears, not weeks later.

With the right strategy in place, companies like Superpath help waterproofing contractors turn that fast seasonal demand into booked inspections and full system installs.

Why Video Works So Well in the Spring

Waterproofing is visual. Homeowners want to see where water is coming from, how systems work, and what solutions look like. Video builds trust faster than text or static ads because it shows your expertise in action.

When a homeowner sees a contractor explaining how a sump pump works or pointing out common foundation cracks, it feels real. It feels local. It feels trustworthy. That trust is what drives phone calls.

Spring also brings urgency. When rain is in the forecast, homeowners are more likely to act. Video ads placed on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram can keep your company in front of them while they scroll, watch, and research.

Superpath helps waterproofing companies identify the right platforms, target the right homeowners, and deliver the right message before competitors do.

Turning Seasonal Problems Into High-Converting Video Content

Not all video ads perform the same. The most effective spring campaigns focus on specific problems homeowners are already experiencing.

For example:

  • Snowmelt causing water seepage along basement walls
  • Sump pumps that failed during last year’s storms
  • Foundation cracks that expanded over the winter
  • Musty smells and damp basement air

Instead of generic brand messaging, Superpath works with waterproofing contractors to create clear, educational, problem focused video ads. These videos speak directly to what homeowners are worried about right now.

When the message matches the season, conversion rates increase.

Getting in Front of Homeowners Before the Heavy Rains

The companies that win in spring do not wait for the first flood. They launch campaigns early.

Superpath builds video advertising strategies that start before peak rainfall hits. This allows waterproofing companies to build awareness and stay top of mind. So when the basement gets wet, your company is the first one they think of.

Through targeted advertising, your videos can reach homeowners in specific zip codes, neighborhoods, and property types. Instead of wasting budget on broad exposure, the focus stays on properties most likely to need waterproofing services.

That precision means more qualified leads and fewer wasted clicks.

Combining Video With Search for Maximum Impact

Video advertising works even better when paired with strong search visibility. When homeowners see your video and then search your company name, they need to find a professional website, strong reviews, and helpful content.

Superpath has the potential to integrate video campaigns with SEO, local search optimization, and website strategy. That means your brand shows up consistently across YouTube, Google, social media, and AI powered search platforms.

This multi channel presence builds authority. It also improves conversion rates because homeowners see the same company in multiple places.

Spring can either be a short burst of activity or the launchpad for year round growth. Video advertising allows waterproofing companies to build brand recognition that lasts beyond a single storm.

Educational videos can be repurposed across platforms. Testimonials can reinforce credibility. Before and after footage can demonstrate real results. Over time, this content builds a digital library that continues generating leads.

Superpath helps waterproofing contractors create scalable campaigns that evolve with the seasons.

Last week, the Superpath team hit the road, traveling from Alabama and Michigan to Las Vegas to attend EPIC 2026, and it’s safe to say this was one of the best industry events we’ve ever experienced.

Superpath in Vegas

Representing Superpath on the ground were Ryan Files (Head of Sales & Marketing), Terri Matheson (VP of Sales), and Alex Kiker (Videographer & Editor), and all three came back saying the same thing - this was the best show we’ve attended yet.

Why EPIC 2026 Worked So Well

The Electric & Gas Industries Association (EGIA) truly did an exceptional job putting EPIC together. One of the standout elements was the event layout - speakers, vendor booths, and food all in the same room. This created consistent, high-quality booth traffic and real engagement, unlike many shows where vendors are separated and foot traffic drops.

It was intentional, well-designed, and it showed. The value, effort, and thoughtfulness EPIC puts into fostering knowledge of the trades and relationships within the industry is something special.

The Conversations That Made The Trip

Over the course of the event, we connected with an incredible mix of distributors, manufacturers, contractors, and business owners. The conversations were meaningful, energizing, and a powerful reminder of how strong and relationship-driven the home services industry really is.

Capturing The Trades - In Real Time

One of our favorite decisions was bringing Alex along to capture the experience in real time. Instead of just collecting leads, we captured real moments, hearing directly from the people we met about why they do what they do, what they love about the trades, and where they see the future of their businesses.

That storytelling matters to us. At Superpath, we believe in real relationships, real conversations, and showing the humans behind the brands, not just data dashboards and Zoom calls.

Speakers That Delivered

The main speakers were outstanding and incredibly motivating, delivering actionable insights while also reinforcing the bigger picture of growth, leadership, and innovation in the trades.

Grateful - And Ready For What’s Next

Overall, EPIC 2026 lived up to its name. From the thoughtful event experience to the caliber of attendees and speakers, it was a high-impact week for learning, relationship building, and industry momentum.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to be part of it and excited to continue the conversations we started in Vegas.

3 Important Review Platforms To Help Contractors Improve Their AI Search Visibility https://superpath.com/blog/3-important-review-platforms-to-help-contractors-improve-their-ai-search-visibility/ Mon, 16 Feb 2026 19:33:15 +0000 https://superpath.com/?p=9268 The post 3 Important Review Platforms To Help Contractors Improve Their AI Search Visibility appeared first on Superpath.

For years, most home service contractors have focused almost all their attention on Google reviews. And for good reason. Google still plays a major role in how homeowners find plumbers, electricians, HVAC companies, and restoration contractors. But the landscape is changing fast. Reviews on platforms like Better Business Bureau, Yelp, and Facebook are becoming increasingly important, not just for customers, but for how your business shows up across AI-powered search and recommendation tools.

Why Non-Google Reviews Matter More Than Ever for Home Service Contractors

Today, search is no longer limited to typing a keyword into Google. Homeowners are asking AI assistants for recommendations, comparing businesses automatically, and trusting summary answers that pull from many different data sources. If your reviews only live in one place, you are limiting how visible and credible your business appears in this new environment.

How AI Review Platforms Are Changing the Rules

AI-driven platforms do not think like traditional search engines. Instead of ranking one website at a time, they scan large amounts of data from many trusted sources and look for consistency. Reviews across multiple platforms help AI tools understand whether your business is established, reliable, and actively serving customers.

When an AI system sees strong reviews on Google, Yelp, Facebook, and the BBB, it sends a clear signal that your business is real and trusted in the community. If your reviews are scattered or only exist on one platform, AI tools may not rank or recommend your company as often. This is especially important for contractors competing in crowded service areas where many companies offer similar services.

Why BBB, Yelp, and Facebook Carry Real Weight

Each review platform plays a different role in shaping your online reputation. The Better Business Bureau focuses on trust, complaint history, and how businesses resolve issues. A strong BBB profile shows professionalism and accountability, which matters to both homeowners and AI systems evaluating credibility.

Yelp remains a major source for local service reviews, especially for customers who want detailed feedback and long-form experiences. Yelp data is widely syndicated and often referenced by other platforms, which gives it influence beyond just the Yelp website. The Bing search ecosystem relies heavily on Yelp reviews for showcasing local business within their maps ecosystem.

Facebook reviews add a social layer to your reputation. They show engagement, real customer interaction, and local community presence. AI systems often view social proof as a sign of authenticity, especially when reviews are recent and responses are active.

Together, these platforms create a more complete picture of your business than Google alone ever could.

What Home Service Contractors Should Do Next

Contractors should treat reviews as a multi-platform strategy, not a single-channel task. Encourage customers to leave reviews where they already spend time. Some may prefer Facebook, others Yelp, and some may trust the BBB more than Google. The goal is steady, recent reviews across all major platforms.

Equally important is responding to reviews everywhere. Thoughtful responses show professionalism and signal active management, which both customers and AI systems notice. Over time, this approach builds a strong digital footprint that helps your business show up wherever homeowners search, ask, or compare.

As AI-driven discovery continues to grow, contractors who invest in review visibility beyond Google will have a clear advantage. Reviews are no longer just feedback. They are data signals that help decide who gets recommended and who gets ignored.

Superpath helps home service companies improve their visibility everywhere property owners search. Learn more about improving your visibility on AI chatbots and search engines today.

Home service contractors have no shortage of marketing options. What they often lack is a partner who truly understands their business, speaks their language, and stays invested long after the contract is signed. That's where Superpath stands apart.

Built by Specialists Who Know Home Services

Superpath is a marketing agency focused exclusively on the home service industry. One of the biggest things that makes Superpath unique is the people behind the strategy. For more than 17 years, the Superpath team has worked alongside home service contractors across plumbing, HVAC, electrical, restoration, roofing, and other skilled trades. Superpath is an agency built by real marketing specialists with deep industry experience.

Superpath has helped some of the leading HVAC, plumbing, and electrical contractors achieve unparalleled success.

Because Superpath has spent years in this space, our team understands what actually moves the needle. We know how homeowners search when a pipe bursts at midnight, when an AC stops working in July, or when storm damage strikes without warning. That knowledge shapes every strategy, from website structure to local SEO to paid media and beyond. Contractors are not starting from scratch. They are working with specialists who already know the challenges and opportunities unique to their industry.

Keeping Your KPIs Front and Center With ION

With the power of Superpath's proprietary ION Dashboard, Your KPI’s are constantly in focus.

With our ION dashboard, we showcase all of your metrics in real time so you can track and adjust your strategies to achieve your goals. Integration with popular CRMs like ServiceTitan ensures that your KPIs align with Superpath’s KPIs. That means the focus stays on what actually impacts your business.

By leveraging advanced digital marketing tools and performance dashboards, Superpath helps you make informed decisions. This technology doesn’t replace human expertise; it enhances it. The result is faster insights, smarter optimizations, and better alignment between your marketing efforts and business growth.

Leads, booked jobs, call quality, cost per lead, and long-term growth are the metrics that matter. Superpath aligns marketing performance with your business outcomes so every decision supports your goals. When something is working, it gets scaled. When something isn’t delivering results, it’s adjusted quickly. This shared accountability creates a true partnership focused on keeping your job boards full and your team members working.

Dedicated Support From People Who Know Your Business

Another key difference is the level of ongoing support. With Superpath, you are not passed from department to department or left waiting days for answers. You have a dedicated Customer Success Manager who understands your business, your market, and your goals.

Your Customer Success Manager works with you consistently to track progress, review performance, and identify new growth opportunities. CSM’s are proactive, not reactive. That means bringing new ideas to the table, adjusting strategy as markets change, and helping you stay ahead of competitors.

Behind your CSM is a full team of specialists in SEO, paid media, content, and strategy who collaborate to support your success.

This human-first approach matters. Home service businesses are built on trust, relationships, and accountability. Superpath reflects those same values in how it supports its clients.

Helping You Be Found Everywhere Homeowners Search

Homeowners no longer search in just one place. They use Google, maps, voice assistants, review platforms, AI-powered tools, video, paid advertising, and social channels to find local service providers. Superpath embraces this reality by helping you be found everywhere homeowners are searching.

This approach goes beyond traditional SEO. It includes local visibility, strong brand signals, video creation, and content that positions you as a reliable expert. The goal is simple: When a homeowner needs help, your business shows up with credibility and confidence, no matter where that search begins.

What truly makes Superpath unique is the combination of experience, accountability, support, and innovation. You get access to real specialists who understand your industry, care about your KPIs, and stay engaged through every stage of growth. With dedicated support, smart technology, and a focus on being visible everywhere, Superpath helps you build momentum that lasts.

For contractors who want more than short-term wins and generic marketing, Superpath offers something different: a clear path to sustainable growth, backed by people who are invested in your success.

How Review Platforms Shape AI Search Results for Home Service Businesses https://superpath.com/blog/how-review-platforms-shape-ai-search-results-for-home-service-businesses/ Tue, 02 Dec 2025 19:28:00 +0000 https://superpath.com/?p=7973 The post How Review Platforms Shape AI Search Results for Home Service Businesses appeared first on Superpath.

AI search tools are changing how homeowners discover home service businesses by pulling information from a wide range of online sources. Instead of relying only on Google results, AI platforms collect signals from review sites to decide which companies are trustworthy, reliable, and worth recommending.

How Review Platforms Shape AI Search Results for Home Service Businesses

AI systems look for patterns in customer satisfaction, how often companies receive reviews, how recent those reviews are, and whether a business maintains a consistent reputation across many sites. When strong reviews appear throughout the web, a company becomes more likely to show up in AI-powered search answers such as “Who is the best HVAC company near me?” or “Which plumber has the most reliable customer feedback?”

Why AI Platforms Care About More Than Google

Although Google reviews remain a major part of this ecosystem, platforms like Yelp, Angi, and HomeAdvisor have become essential because they contain detailed, structured review information.

Yelp is viewed as a long-standing authority with deep customer feedback and strong review filtering.

Angi provides verified residential service reviews, including project descriptions, costs, and photos.

HomeAdvisor contributes organized data about job types and customer experience, helping AI understand exactly what a company offers.

Thumbtack influences AI visibility by tracking response times, pricing ranges, and job success rates — signals that show dependability and responsiveness.

The Better Business Bureau adds accreditation, complaint resolution history, and trust ratings, reinforcing credibility and professionalism.

Nextdoor has grown quickly as homeowners look for neighborhood recommendations, and AI engines treat these community insights as strong trust signals.

Even Facebook has become valuable due to reviews, recommendations, and ongoing customer engagement that reveals how active a company is.

Growing Review Platforms That AI Is Using More Often

Beyond the major players, several additional platforms are becoming increasingly important as AI search expands.

Trustpilot is gaining traction among service businesses thanks to its transparent review system and its ability to measure customer satisfaction at scale.

Houzz provides photo-rich project reviews, helping AI evaluate companies specializing in remodeling and renovation work.

Porch offers contractor reviews tied to specific service categories like plumbing, electrical, and handyman repairs.

Sites such as Expertise.com and Consumer Affairs are appearing more often in AI-generated results because they rank and evaluate companies based on detailed complaint histories, curated lists, and performance insights.

What Home Service Businesses Should Do to Stay Competitive

The result is a search environment where a company with strong Google reviews but weak ratings elsewhere may not appear as trustworthy to AI systems. Businesses that demonstrate consistent excellence across many platforms stand out more.

To stay competitive, home service companies should:

  • Encourage customers to leave reviews across multiple platforms.
  • Maintain updated profiles on all major review websites.
  • Respond quickly and professionally to customer feedback.
  • Ensure consistent service quality across every job and interaction.

As AI continues pulling information from all corners of the internet, review platforms will only grow in importance. Companies that expand their presence now will gain a major advantage in the next era of online search.

It was a beautiful fall week in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and the energy at the PHCC CONNECT Trade Show was nothing short of inspiring. The Superpath team was thrilled to join this vibrant gathering of plumbing and HVAC professionals dedicated to moving the industry forward while honoring its deep-rooted traditions.

A Historic Setting for a Modern Industry

We stayed at the Amway Grand Plaza, a stunning and historic hotel that perfectly matched the sense of legacy and pride present throughout the event. Just a short walk away, the Devos Place Convention Center hosted the bustling trade show filled with contractors, business owners, master plumbers, apprentices, distributors, and industry partners all under one roof.

Generations of Craftsmanship

What stood out most were the incredible stories we heard, family-owned plumbing businesses that have been serving their communities for 20, 40, 80, and even 100 years. Hearing how these companies have passed down skills, values, and dedication from generation to generation reminded us why we do what we do at Superpath: to support the trades that keep America running.

Connecting Across the PHCC Network

We had the opportunity to connect with PHCC board members from chapters across the country, each passionate about advancing education, innovation, and community within the plumbing and HVAC trades. Their commitment to mentorship and continuous improvement is shaping the future of the industry in powerful ways.

Celebrating the Next Generation & Looking Ahead

One of the most exciting highlights of the event was the PHCC Apprenticeship Contest, where apprentices from across the country showcased their skills in a hands-on competition. Watching these talented individuals represent the future of plumbing and HVAC was both inspiring and motivating. Learn more about the contest here.

We left Grand Rapids filled with appreciation for the people and passion behind PHCC and the trades as a whole. We’re already looking forward to connecting with more PHCC chapters throughout 2026 and reuniting with this amazing community at next year’s PHCC CONNECT show in Milwaukee.

At Superpath, we’re proud to champion the contractors, apprentices, and business owners who make the trades stronger every day.

Use QR Codes Creatively to Grow Your Home Service Business https://superpath.com/blog/use-qr-codes-creatively-to-grow-your-home-service-business/ Mon, 01 Dec 2025 17:29:45 +0000 https://superpath.com/?p=7911 The post Use QR Codes Creatively to Grow Your Home Service Business appeared first on Superpath.

]]>

QR codes have become a simple and powerful tool for home service companies. Plumbers, HVAC pros, electricians, roofers, and restoration teams can use them to guide customers straight to online actions without extra steps. When placed in smart locations, these codes help customers book appointments faster, leave reviews more easily, and connect with your company in ways that feel smooth and convenient. With a little creativity, QR codes can turn everyway items into strong marketing tools.

Use QR Codes on Service Trucks

One of the most effective places to put a QR code is on your service vehicles. A clear code on the side or back of your truck lets people schedule service or request estimates right from the street. Many homeowners notice trucks in their neighborhood and want to know who is doing quality work nearby. A quick scan can take them directly to your booking page, contact form, or a link to your reviews. This helps build local visibility without any extra advertising cost.

Add QR Codes to Business Cards and Door Hangers

Traditional print materials become much more useful when they include QR codes. Instead of handing out a business card that might get lost, you can direct customers to a special offer, seasonal checklist, or emergency contact page. Door hangers with QR codes can guide homeowners to videos that explain common problems like leaking pipes or broken AC units. When customers understand what is happening, they feel more confident calling your team for help.

Place QR Codes on Water Heaters, Furnaces, and Electrical Panels

Plumbers, electricians, and HVAC companies can take QR code usage even further by placing them directly on the equipment they install or service. A small sticker on a water heater, furnace, breaker box, sump pump, or air handler can link customers to quick service information. This can include emergency contact numbers, maintenance instructions, warranty details, troubleshooting tips, or an online scheduling page. This simple idea reinforces the brand every time a homeowner looks at the equipment and gives them an easy way to reconnect when something goes wrong. Instead of searching online for help, customers can scan the code and reach your company in seconds. This builds trust, encourages repeat business, and makes your company the first one they think of when they need service again.

Make Payments and Reviews Easier

Invoices, receipts, and service reports are perfect places for QR codes. You can link directly to your online payment portal so customers do not have to search for it. You can also use a QR code that takes them straight to your Google, Yelp, or Facebook review page. The easier it is to leave a review, the more likely customers are to follow through. Some companies even include QR codes on manuals or installation folders to give fast access to maintenance guides and warranty information.

Use QR Codes for Follow Ups and Customer Loyalty

Follow-up emails and thank you cards can include QR codes that lead to surveys, loyalty rewards, or referral programs. This keeps customers engaged long after the job is done and encourages them to stay connected with your business. By placing QR codes in thoughtful, strategic locations, home service companies can strengthen customer relationships, increase repeat business, and make everyday communication much easier.

Last week, Superpath and Podium teamed up with our friends at Air Engineers to host an immersive, insight-packed event at the beautiful Pursell Farms in Sylacauga, Alabama. Surrounded by rolling hills, crisp fall air, and a truly unmatched Southern atmosphere, we welcomed HVAC business owners, operators, and contractors for a day dedicated to learning, connection, and the future of home services marketing.

Setting the Stage: Why This Event Matters

The home services landscape is shifting faster than ever. Costs are rising. Private equity is accelerating consolidation. Customer search habits are evolving. And yet, many businesses are still relying on outdated marketing strategies that aren’t keeping pace.

That’s exactly why Superpath and Podium created this event: to give HVAC leaders a space to learn what’s changing, talk about what’s working (and what isn’t), and leave feeling more confident about the path forward.

We believe education is the foundation of growth, and bringing people together to share insights is one of the most valuable investments any business can make.

Superpath Session: What Home Services Businesses Must Prepare For

During our session, the Superpath team dug into some of the biggest shifts affecting contractors today, including:

  • Rising operational and marketing costs - forcing businesses to be more efficient and more strategic with every dollar spent.
  • Private equity’s growing role - reshaping competition and accelerating expectations around growth and performance.
  • Outdated marketing tactics - many contractors are still relying heavily on old-school strategies that no longer reflect how homeowners search.
  • The evolution of homeowner search behavior - customers aren’t just using Google anymore; they’re searching everywhere. From TikTok to voice search to marketplaces like Costco and Amazon, today’s customer journey is fragmented and success requires showing up wherever those searches happen.

We emphasized one core message: Search is evolving. If your strategy hasn’t, now is the time.

Podium Session: Speed to Lead + The Future of AI in Home Services

Podium delivered a highly engaging segment centered around speed to lead, reminding everyone that the businesses who respond fastest win the job. They also introduced their impressive new AI Employee, Larry - a powerful tool designed to automate lead response, scheduling, FAQs, and more.

You could feel the room light up with ideas as contractors started imagining how Larry could streamline operations and boost conversions. Learn more about Larry here.

Industry Networking: Candid Conversations That Matter

Beyond the presentations, one of the most valuable elements of the day was simply providing space for HVAC leaders to connect.

Business owners and contractors gathered to talk about:

  • Current market challenges
  • Digital strategies that are working
  • Where they’re struggling
  • Tools and technology they’re testing
  • How customer expectations are shifting

These open, peer-to-peer conversations are the heartbeat of the industry and exactly why we created this event. When contractors learn from each other, everyone grows.

A True Southern Experience: Lunch + Afternoon Activities

After a packed morning of insights and conversation, we enjoyed a classic southern lunch together - comfort food, great conversation, and plenty of laughs.

Then, in true Pursell Farms fashion, the afternoon was all about experience:

  • Some guests hit the greens for a beautiful round of golf
  • Others headed out for an Orvis shooting experience with incredible views

It was the perfect blend of learning, networking, and an afternoon away from the office!

Why Superpath Shows Up for Events Like This

At Superpath, we believe the future of home-services marketing belongs to the businesses who never stop learning. That’s why we show up to educate, to challenge outdated thinking, and to give contractors tools and clarity for what’s coming next.

Whether it’s Search Everywhere, rising costs, or new technologies like AI, our mission is simple:

Keep job boards healthy & stable and grow profitable companies!
