tony lewis’s story (2) (1)

Most people use a simple Google form for their wedding RSVP.

Quick. Functional. Done.

But when you’ve spent a decade building WordPress websites professionally, “just functional” isn’t enough.

Tony Lewis decided to do something different for his wedding.

Instead of sending guests to a plain wedding RSVP page, he built a fully customized experience using SureForms.

He used conditional logic to create smart question flows and connected everything using native integrations.

He turned a standard RSVP into something people actually talked about.

Even better, he recorded the entire process.

Watch how he built the form step by step here 👇

Seeing it in action makes one thing very clear. This wasn’t just a form. It was a well thought out system built for one of the most important days of his life.

Meet Tony Lewis

Tony Lewis is a WordPress builder with 10 years of experience shipping sites across a wide range of industries.

Over the past four years, he has worked with some of the biggest names in the WordPress space. His experience blends practical implementation skills with a strong understanding of how WordPress teams build, support and scale.

Through his work at WPAspirin, Tony helps clients turn ideas into polished digital experiences.

Recently, as he began transitioning many of his clients into the Sure ecosystem, he wanted to properly test SureForms before rolling it out to paying customers.

What better test than your own wedding?

Interview with Tony Lewis

What made you choose SureForms for building your wedding RSVP form?

“I’m slowly transitioning clients into the Sure ecosystem, and I wanted to experiment with SureForms before some of our paying customers start using it. I can say that the experience has been fantastic so far.”

In your form, you have beautifully used Native Integration and Conditional logic. How was your experience using these features while building the form?

“Initially, there was a minor issue with connecting Google Sheets and SureForms. The native integration would occasionally disconnect unexpectedly. After seeking assistance from the SureForms support team, we successfully resolved it, and it has been functioning flawlessly ever since.

Conditional logic is an exceptional feature. It enables the creation of “if so > then” scenarios, allowing me to hide, display, or skip specific questions based on the response. This feature works well and significantly enhances the overall user experience.”

How was the overall response to your RSVP form from guests? Are you satisfied with how the entire experience turned out?

“Responses are still pouring in! I anticipate receiving approximately 150 guest confirmations, and they’ve all been astounded by the functionality of this entire system.

Typically, guests are simply asked to respond to a straightforward Google form. However, having a dedicated website with a custom-designed form on it leaves people in awe. And it’s already resulted in a couple of leads for guests who are planning their own weddings!”

You may have used other form plugins before. Based on your past experience, what differences stood out to you when you started using SureForms?

“When I signed up for SureForms, I was honestly looking for something that would work with any builder on WordPress. And it does.

You can just plug in the shortcode for one of your forms and have it render perfectly fine on any page built with any page builder.”

What feature impressed you the most in SureForms?

I have my eyes set on payments and exploring payment capabilities on forms depending on the answers that people submit. It looks very, very powerful.

Is there anything you feel could be improved or added to make SureForms to make the overall experience even better?

“You’ve already incorporated a native integration with Notion, which was on my highly requested feature list!

To be more specific, I would like to see further expansion of ecommerce capabilities if possible. This could include features like coupons, subscription logic and even tax/VAT handling.

As a SureCart user, I don’t want it to become a direct competitor to SureCart, but hopefully you get what I mean. 😉

After your experience, would you recommend SureForms to others who are planning weddings, parties, or personal projects? What would you tell them based on your own experience?

“Of course! It was a breeze to get the whole thing set-up. Next up: moving away from Sendgrid over into SureContact for good!”

What Others Can Take From This

Tony’s story shows what happens when professional tools meet personal moments.

He didn’t settle for a basic RSVP link. He created an experience that felt intentional. Guests noticed. Some were so impressed that it led to new opportunities.

Here’s what stands out:

Conditional logic changes everything. It turns a plain list of questions into a smooth, guided experience that feels personalized and can help you bag more entries.

Native integrations can quietly do the heavy lifting in the background. No messy workarounds, no third-party tool in between. Everything stays organized automatically.

Most importantly, personal projects are often the best testing ground. When you build something that truly matters to you, you push the tool further and discover what it can really do.

SureForms wasn’t just used to collect responses. It helped create a polished experience for 150 guests and became part of a milestone moment.

How Steven Tseng Built Financial Tools with Forms https://sureforms.com/news/steven-built-financial-tools-with-forms/ https://sureforms.com/news/steven-built-financial-tools-with-forms/#respond Mon, 16 Feb 2026 10:53:42 +0000 https://sureforms.com/?p=29327 Read more at SureForms

Some people use forms to collect information. Steven Tseng uses them to build systems.

With a background in financial engineering and derivatives pricing, Steven approaches tools differently.

For him, forms are not just fields and buttons. They are structured input layers that power automation, calculations and workflows.

Let’s take a closer look at who he is, what he has built and how SureForms fits into his ecosystem.

Meet Steven Tseng

Steven Tseng is a consultant with a background in financial engineering and derivatives pricing.

He runs the Quants Note ecosystem, which blends finance, automation and education to help professionals and small teams work smarter:

Steven currently operates three distinct platforms:

  • quantsnote.com – Content, consulting, and financial automation tools.
  • academy.quantsnote.com – Online learning for financial and tech professionals.
  • ffcollection.art – An online art shop focused on curated collections.

His mission is to make automation affordable and operable, reducing manual work while elevating brand professionalism.

What Steven Built With Forms

Steven’s work goes far beyond simple contact forms. He used SureForms to create financial tools, automate agreements, and power intelligent workflows.

Retirement Calculator With Graphical Representation

👉 Check out the tool

This tool allows users to input financial data and instantly see structured projections of their retirement planning.

The results are presented visually, helping users better understand long-term outcomes.

For financial decision-making, clarity matters. The graphical representation makes projections easier to interpret and more actionable.

Mortgage Calculator With Graphical Representation

👉 Check out the tool

The mortgage calculator follows a similar principle. Users enter loan details, rates, and terms, and the system processes the logic to produce structured repayment insights along with visual outputs.

It turns what could be a static spreadsheet calculation into an interactive, professional experience.

How Steven Built Financial Tools with Forms

Behind the scenes, Steven’s project is a great example of how flexible SureForms can be when you push it a little further.

He used his awesome technical knowledge with SureForms to build the tool, but here is the simplified explanation for everyone on how he made his vision into reality.

The tools, at the core, use SureForms’ Calculator Feature, which handles the main financial logic. Instead of sending data somewhere else to be processed, the form itself performs the key calculations, such as compound interest or mortgage amortization.

That means the heavy lifting happens right inside the form. But Steven did not stop there.

To make the experience feel more like an app than a simple form, he added a lightweight custom JavaScript addon on the frontend. This script listens for changes as users type in their numbers.

The moment a value changes, the script grabs that data and runs it through the financial models powering the calculator.

Then comes the fun part.

The results are instantly visualized using Chart.js, which renders clean graphs directly inside a dedicated HTML block on the page. As users adjust their inputs, the projections update in real time.

That’s how Steven managed immediate visual feedback without any page reload.

All these together resulted in a smooth, interactive experience where visitors can experiment with different scenarios and instantly see how their financial decisions might play out.

Interview With Steven Tseng

After getting to know about Steven’s impressive projects with SureForms, we interviewed him to gain insight into his SureForms experience.

Here are some questions we asked him and the answers in Steven’s voice.

What made you choose SureForms for your project?

“I chose SureForms because of its ‘user-first’ design philosophy. While I have used other well-known form plugins in the past, many of them feel like they are designed with a ‘tech-first’ mindset.

Even for simple forms, those tools often require navigating complex settings, which makes the process time-consuming.

SureForms, with its block-based concept, removed these barriers and allowed me to focus on the user experience immediately.”

How easy was it to create your project with SureForms?

“It was incredibly intuitive. The flow is logical, and I didn’t have to spend time learning a complicated interface.

The AI form generation feature was particularly helpful; for simple use cases, I could generate a form, make minor tweaks, and have it live within minutes.”

What feature in SureForms surprised you the most?

“I was most impressed by the seamless integration of various functions and the ‘Instant Form’ feature.

Being able to share a form link directly without embedding it on a webpage is a game-changer, it prevents the form scripts from affecting my site’s loading performance, which is crucial for SEO and user experience.”

Has SureForms improved your workflow or productivity?

“Absolutely. It has allowed me to build fully automated workflows that were previously difficult to manage. For example:

Contract & Acceptance Workflows: I created conversational forms for project sign-offs. The client confirms details step-by-step, electronically signs the document, and is then redirected to a checkout page.

Finally, a signed PDF is automatically emailed to them. This has significantly reduced my manual administrative work.

Crisis PR Generator: By integrating SureForms with OttoKit and AI, I built a tool that helps users generate professional PR drafts automatically during a crisis.”

If you also want to create PDFs from your form entries, check out this tutorial.

Did you try any other tools before SureForms? If so, what stood out to you as better or simpler in SureForms compared to those?

“Yes, I have used several major form plugins. The standout difference is the design experience. Other tools often prioritize “powerful features” at the expense of usability, making the design process feel heavy and technical.

SureForms manages to be powerful while remaining joyful and fast to use. It doesn’t feel like I’m fighting the tool to get what I want.”

Is there anything you’d like to see improved or added?

“I have three items on my wishlist:

Complex calculations: I plan to offer more advanced financial engineering calculators on my site, Quants Note, so more robust calculation logic would be helpful.

Deeper SureContact integration: It would be great if form options could directly link to specific Lists or Tags in SureContact (e.g., selecting a topic automatically tags the user).

Native charting: Since the form structure is so clear, I was able to write my own addon to generate charts for my financial calculators. However, having a native chart feature within SureForms would be a fantastic addition for all users.”

We take user feedback seriously. Steven shared his ideas, and we have already improved SureForms by strengthening SureContact support.

If there’s something you would like to see next in SureForms, share your idea here with us: https://ideas.sureforms.com/boards/feature-requests

What would you tell someone considering SureForms?

“I would describe the experience as joyful, fast, and powerful. It’s a tool that lets you build professional, complex automation, like payment and signature workflows, without the headache usually associated with form builders.”

Takeaways from Steven’s Work

Steven’s work highlights something important.

Forms are often seen as simple input tools. But when structured well and combined with automation, they become the foundation for much bigger systems.

He chose SureForms not just for features, but for how it feels to build with it. The balance between power and usability allowed him to move quickly without sacrificing sophistication.

For consultants, educators, financial professionals, agencies and automation builders, the takeaway is clear.

If you want to build tools that look professional, automate real processes and scale without complexity slowing you down, the right form builder makes a measurable difference.

The addition of Native Integrations in SureForms makes it even easier and opens up new possibilities for what you can do with forms.

And that combination is what makes the difference between building forms and building systems.

Have you built something interesting with SureForms or have a story worth sharing? We would genuinely love to hear about it and possibly feature it in one of our upcoming blog posts.

Building anything on WordPress, whether it’s a charity page, a service website, or a simple landing page, always leads to one important moment:

Someone decides they want to pay you.

Maybe they’re making a donation, booking a session, purchasing a service, or settling an invoice. Whatever the reason, your website needs to make that moment effortless.

A smooth, simple WordPress payment form can be the difference between someone completing the payment… or giving up halfway.

But here’s the problem:

Many WordPress payment form plugins feel heavy and complicated.

They bury simple tasks under layers of confusing settings, add-ons, and steps most beginners don’t need.

If all you want is a clean way to accept a payment and move on with your day, those unnecessary hurdles get frustrating fast.

That’s exactly why SureForms exists.

It gives you a lightweight, no-code way to build a Stripe-powered payment form in just a few minutes, without wrestling with extra plugins or complex configurations. Just a straightforward form that works.

In this guide, you’ll learn how to create one-time payments, recurring payments, and donation-style payment forms using the same simple flow.

It’s perfect for beginners, WordPress users, and small business owners who want to skip the technical noise and get straight to collecting payments.

Let’s get started.

Adding payments to WordPress traditionally required complicated checkout plugins, developers, or multiple add-ons.

SureForms eliminates all that.

With its drag and drop builder and built-in Stripe integration, anyone can create forms for:

  • One-time payments
  • Subscriptions
  • Donation or tips
  • Simple orders

All without writing a single line of code.

This blog emphasizes speed, simplicity, and reliability using SureForms’ modern payment workflow.

What Is a WordPress Payment Form?

A WordPress payment form is a simple online form that allows users to pay directly on your website.

Instead of building full checkout pages, payment forms let you collect:

  • Donations
  • Service fees
  • Invoices
  • Booking deposits
  • Subscriptions
  • One-time orders

Payment forms are easier to manage than traditional checkout systems and are perfect for freelancers, nonprofits, coaches, consultants and small businesses.

How to Create a Payment Form in SureForms (Step-by-Step Guide)

Step 1: Connect Your Payment Gateway (Required Before Creating the Form)

Before you jump into creating your form, there’s one quick setup step that makes everything work behind the scenes, connecting your Stripe account.

Think of it like this:

Maybe you’re setting up a simple donation page…
Or collecting payments for a workshop…
Or taking subscription payments for a service you offer.

Whatever the use case, your form can only process payments once Stripe is connected.

The good news? It takes less than a minute, and after that, every payment flows smoothly into your Stripe dashboard without any extra setup.

So before we start building the actual form, let’s connect Stripe so everything is ready to go.

To do this:

  1. Go to SureForms → Settings → Payments
  2. Click Connect Payment Gateway
WordPress Payment Forms Plugin
  1. Log in to your Stripe account and connect it
Payment Gateway setting

  1. Choose Test Mode or Live Mode

⚠ Note: PayPal is an upcoming feature and not live yet. Stripe is currently the only active payment gateway.

Once Stripe is connected, proceed to creating your form.

Step 2: Create a New Form

Open your WordPress dashboard.

Go to SureForms → New Form.

You have two ways to create your form:

✔ Option 1: Use the AI Form Generator

SureForms can automatically generate a form layout based on your prompt.

Instead of building every field manually, you can describe what you need, and the AI creates the starting form for you.

For example, imagine you’re creating a donation form for an animal charity.

You might prompt the AI with something like:

“Create a donation form for an animal charity called Help4Legs.
Our brand colors are red and gold, and we specialize in rescuing donkeys.”

SureForms AI then generates a form layout that includes the essential fields, name, email, donation amount, so you don’t need to add everything from scratch.

It’s a quick, intuitive way to start your payment form, especially when you want something ready to customize in seconds.

AI Prompt For Form creation

✔ Option 2: Build the Form from Scratch

If you prefer full control, you can design the form manually.

Manual Form Creation

Step 3: Design Your Form (If You Are Creating from Scratch)

Before configuring payments, let’s add the required fields.

Example: Make a Web Design Course Enrollment Form

Recommended fields:

  • Text field → Name
  • Email field → Email
  • Dropdown field → Payment amount

Once the essential fields are added, you’re ready to insert the payment block.

Hint: The shorter the form, the more likely people are to complete it, which is what we want.

Step 4: Add a Payment Block (If You Are Creating from Scratch)

  • Click + Add Block in the SureForms builder
  • Select the Payment block

The Payment block is where you configure how your form collects payments.

How to add payment blog to WordPress Form Plugin

Step 5: Configure Payment Block Settings (If You Are Creating from Scratch)

1. Help Text

Add a brief description or instructions for users.
Example: “Fill out the details below to complete your payment.”

2. Payment Type

Choose how you want to collect payments:

✔ One-Time Payment

Useful for:

  • Donations
  • Single service payments
  • Simple checkout forms

✔ Subscription Payment

Enables recurring billing.

When you select Subscription Payment, new configuration fields appear.

3. Subscription Payment Settings

If subscription payments are enabled, configure:

  • Plan Name:
    Example: “Photography Plan”
  • Billing Interval:
    Choose from:
    Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly
  • Stop Subscription After:
Set the number of billing cycles or choose Never for ongoing billing.

4. Amount Type

Choose how the payment amount is determined:

✔ Fixed Amount

You enter a specific amount that never changes.

✔ Dynamic Amount

Amount is determined based on user input (e.g., Donation Amount field).

Dynamic amounts may use:

  • Custom user input
  • Dropdown values
  • Calculated fields

5. Minimum Amount

Set a minimum charge amount if the dynamic value isn’t available or falls too low.

6. Customer Details

These fields must exist in the form before publishing:

  • Customer Name
    • Optional for one-time payments
    • Required for subscription payments
  • Customer Email
    • Mandatory for both one-time and subscription payments
settings in form plugin

Step 6: Save and Publish the Form

Once your form and payment settings are configured:

  • Click Save Form
  • Copy the provided shortcode
  • Embed the form on any page or post
  • Or you can also try out the Instant Form feature to make the form instantly available on a single page
  • Test the form using Stripe Test Mode
Final output form

We recommend testing:

  • One-time payments
  • Subscription billing (if applicable)
  • Dynamic amount workflows
  • Customer detail capturing

This ensures everything works smoothly before going live.

  • Small businesses who need simple online payments

If you’re ready to simplify how you collect payments on your website, SureForms makes it easy to create a form, connect Stripe, and start accepting payments with confidence.

FAQs

Can I accept donations using SureForms?

Yes. SureForms makes it easy to collect donations by using the Custom Amount option inside the Payment Block. This lets supporters enter any amount they want, rather than being restricted to a fixed price. You can pair this with basic fields like Name, Email, or a message field to build a complete donation form. Since payments run through Stripe, donors can complete the process quickly and securely.

Does SureForms support subscriptions?

Yes. SureForms supports recurring billing through its Subscription Payment option. When selected, you can configure everything needed for subscription payments, including:

  • Plan Name
  • Billing Interval (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly)
  • Stop After a specific number of billing cycles, or Never for ongoing billing

This makes SureForms ideal for coaches, membership-based businesses, retainers, and any service that requires automatic recurring payments, all powered by Stripe.

Can I issue refunds through SureForms?

Yes. SureForms allows you to issue both partial and full refunds directly from your WordPress dashboard. Each payment has a detailed payment record where you can:

  • Open the payment
  • Click Refund
  • Choose a full refund or enter a partial amount
  • Add an optional refund note

Once processed, SureForms updates the payment status and logs the refund details automatically. Refunds also stay synced with your Stripe account, so everything remains accurate and consistent.

Do I need a developer to set all this up?

No. SureForms is designed for beginners and non-technical users. You can create forms using a drag-and-drop builder, choose your payment type with simple toggles, and connect Stripe without touching any code. Whether you’re making a one-time payment form, a subscription form, or a donation form, everything can be configured visually, no developer required.

With this release, forms can now talk directly to your favorite tools, CRMs, and communication platforms, without needing extra tools or middleware.

Whether you want to send leads straight to your CRM, notify your team instantly on Telegram, or save responses in Airtable, you can now do it all using just SureForms.

Let’s explore what this means for you.

What are Native Integrations?

In simple terms, native integrations let different tools talk to each other automatically, without any third-party help needed.

Native Integrations in SureForms are built-in connections that let your forms directly communicate with other apps and services, without using any third-party tools like Zapier or extra plugins.

When someone interacts with your form, the information can flow directly to the right place, whether that’s an email list, a CRM, a project management tool, or a team chat app.

Instead of manually exporting, copying, or syncing data between systems, with Native Integrations, everything happens seamlessly behind the scenes.

Take a look at how easily you can connect your tools with SureForms using its native integrations 👇

Why Native Integrations Matter

Before this update, setting up automations meant relying on third-party tools or services like Zapier just to make things work together.

That added time, cost, and unnecessary friction.

Now, that’s a thing of the past.

With SureForms’ new Native Integrations, you can connect your forms directly to 17+ popular platforms, instantly, securely and without ever leaving your WordPress dashboard.

No middlemen, no extra plugins.

And we’re just getting started. Our team is already building more integrations with widely used apps, so you can look forward to new native connections rolling out regularly.

It’s faster, smoother, and built for real-world workflows, without the fuss or bloat.

What You Can Do With SureForms’ Native Integrations

With native integrations, SureForms is now more than just a form builder.

It’s a complete solution that supports you from creating forms to managing and processing every submission seamlessly.

Here are just a few examples of what you can do:

  • Send leads directly to your CRM the moment they submit a form.

Ever caught yourself wondering, “Should I go with Gravity Forms or WPForms for my WordPress site?”

Or maybe, “I just need something lightweight and easy… is there a better option than the big two?”

These are common questions. And here’s the truth: choosing the wrong form plugin can cost you time, money, and even site performance.

Forms aren’t just contact fields anymore. They handle leads, payments, surveys, registrations, and client bookings. Which means your plugin choice really matters in 2025.

In this guide, we’ll break down the differences between Gravity Forms, WPForms, and SureForms so you can pick the best option for your site.

Let’s dive in.

1. Gravity Forms in 2025: Powerful but Complex

Gravity Forms has been around since 2009, and it’s one of the most established WordPress form plugins. Agencies and developers love it because of its advanced conditional logic, multi-page forms, and integrations.

Why people choose Gravity Forms:

  • 30+ official add-ons
  • Strong integrations with CRMs, payment gateways, and automation tools
  • Reliable and stable, backed by years of development
gravity forms vs wpforms vs sureforms (2025) detailed comparison 5.

But here’s the catch:

  • No free version
  • Higher learning curve for beginners
  • Older UI compared to newer plugins

Gravity Forms is best if you’re an agency or developer who needs enterprise-level functionality and doesn’t mind investing time into setup.

2. WPForms in 2025: Simple and Beginner-Friendly

WPForms calls itself the “most beginner-friendly form builder for WordPress.” And that’s not wrong. It offers a drag-and-drop interface and 600+ pre-built templates, making it perfect for non-technical users.

What makes WPForms popular:

  • Easy setup with pre-designed templates
  • Freemium model (WPForms Lite available on WordPress.org)
  • Great for small business owners and marketers
  • Marketing integrations with HubSpot, Mailchimp, and more
screenshot 2025 09 29 145247

Where it falls short:

  • Advanced features locked behind Pro plans
  • Can get pricey if you need multiple add-ons
  • Heavy installs may impact performance

WPForms is best if you’re a small business owner or beginner looking for a simple, ready-to-use form builder.

3. SureForms in 2025: The Modern Lightweight Alternative

Sometimes Gravity Forms feel too heavy. Sometimes WPForms feels too locked behind paywalls. That’s exactly why SureForms was created.

Why SureForms stands out in 2025:

  • Clean, modern drag-and-drop UI
  • Lightweight and speed-optimized (won’t bloat your site)
  • Free core plugin with affordable Pro version
  • Perfect Gutenberg compatibility for block-based editing
  • Essential integrations without overwhelming users
gravity forms vs wpforms vs sureforms (2025) detailed comparison 3.

Where it’s different:

  • Newer plugin, so fewer add-ons compared to GF/WPF
  • But ideal for site owners who value speed, simplicity, and affordability

SureForms is best if you want a modern, lightweight form plugin that fits perfectly into a fast WordPress site without adding bloat.

  • Gravity Forms: The veteran, built for advanced users.

  • WPForms: The friendly option for beginners.

  • SureForms: The newcomer built for speed, simplicity, and modern WordPress.

If you’re tired of bloated plugins or confusing pricing tiers, SureForms might just be the best-balanced choice for your website in 2025.

We’re thrilled to share an exciting milestone, SureForms is now powering forms on over 300,000 WordPress sites worldwide! 🥳

When we launched SureForms, our mission was clear, to create a WordPress Form Builder that was fast, lightweight and easy to use, without cutting corners on power.

Today, we’re proud to see hundreds of thousands of businesses, creators, developers, and agencies using SureForms to build everything from simple contact forms to advanced workflows.

This achievement is worth celebrating, but for us, it’s also a reminder of why we exist, to give WordPress users a form builder they can actually enjoy using.

Why We Believe SureForms Has Grown So Quickly

The form builder space isn’t new and it isn’t short of companies offering solutions.

WordPress had options for years, so why has SureForms resonated with so many people so quickly?

We think it comes down to five key elements:

  • Attention to detail: Everything about SureForms looks and feels intentional. The UI is clean and straightforward, building forms is a breeze and everything just works.
  • AI form building: AI is everywhere now, but rarely does it work so well. Tell it what you want and you’ll have a usable form in seconds.
  • Performance first: SureForms was designed to be lightweight from day one. Your forms won’t slow down your site, even as they grow in complexity.
  • Ease of use: We’ve focused on simplicity without sacrificing power. The new interface is clean, fast, and approachable so beginners can get started quickly, while advanced users still have full control.
  • Continuous development: We listen closely to what our users need. Every update, every feature, and every tweak comes from real-world use cases and feedback.

This formula has helped SureForms stand out as the builder that feels modern, reliable, and flexible.

What You’ve Been Saying About SureForms

Building a product like SureForms is a passion project for us, but it’s all about you.

That’s why your feedback is so important and why we’re so happy when we see feedback like this:

Zero entry barrier with rich features

Just like the other plugins in the Sure Products family, SureForms is intuitive to use and lightweight on both the front end and back end, making it easy to manage form designs and entries. It’s also delightful to experience how quickly the webpage responds when a form is submitted, making the entire process smooth and enjoyable.

Steven (@fengyintseng)

I really like it.

In what seems to buck the trend, I love the simplicity of this plugin and that everything can be simply tweaked with some custom CSS. Far too many, previously useful, form plugins have gone down the road of offering everything they think you might want via a wysiwyg editor. Only to make the subtle things nearly impossible to target with CSS in the process. Just making things way to complex when all some of us want it a simple, clean form neatly executed.

This is just that. Perfect for what I want.

dmullerdesign (@dmullerdesign)

Thank you to the Customer Care Team

SureForms is a great plugin, but its real strength is its excellent support (Customer Care Team)! I had a compatibility issue with my form using Google ReCaptcha. It was a problem specific to my site. The team didn’t give up and finally developed a fix specifically for my site, while communicating with me regularly. I highly recommend SureForms, and thanks again for your help!

If you’re planning to let people sign up on your WordPress site without sending them to a boring default registration page, you need to read this.

In this quick guide, we’ll show you how to build a Custom User Registration form in WordPress using SureForms’ new Register and Login feature.

It’s actually easier than you think. No coding. No tech headaches. Just a clean, simple sign up form in WordPress that actually fits your site.

| Prefer watching instead? Check out this step-by-step video on how to create a user registration form in WordPress 👇

Why Use a Custom Sign Up Form?

If you’ve ever seen WordPress’s built-in registration page, you know it’s… well, pretty plain.

It doesn’t match your branding. It doesn’t feel like part of your site and you don’t get much control over what happens next.

A custom user registration form fixes all that.

  • A Custom Registration Form can be designed to look and feel like a natural part of your website.
  • Let you redirect new users anywhere you want, guiding users through the journey.
  • A branded, polished sign up page feels more secure and professional.
  • A friendly, customized sign up flow means more visitors actually register!

Let’s Build a Custom Registration Form Together

Here’s how easy it is to create a signup form in WordPress with SureForms.

Step 1: Start Creating a New Form with SureForms

First things first, log in to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to SureForms

If you don’t have the plugin yet, search for ‘SureForms’ from your WordPress dashboard, or download it from here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/sureforms/

Also, some of the settings and blocks used in this tutorial (like the register block) require the SureForms Business version. If you don’t have that yet, you can explore and get your access to SureForms Business from here.

When you’re ready, click Create New Form in the SureForms dashboard.

Open SureForms and start creating a new form

Choose How You Want To Build the Form

You have two ways to build your form: Build With AI or Build From Scratch.

Choose Build From Scratch

For creating a Custom User Registration form, we will go with the Build From Scratch option.

Now, let’s proceed.

Add the Register Block

After selecting Build From Scratch, you should see the form editor.

Click the little plus (+) icon at the top left.

Proceed to add a new block

Now, search for the Register block and drag and drop it into your form.

Drag and drop the Register block

Now, you now have the basics of your user registration form, and it took about 2 seconds.

How easy was that?

Customize Form Fields

Want to tweak things? You can edit the field labels as you wish.

Also, click on the password field and check out the sidebar on the right.

Check out the settings and customize accordingly

Here you can:

  • Let people toggle password visibility
  • Add a Confirm Password field (always a good idea)

For other fields like username, you can choose to validate as unique, set a customized error message, and so on. Check out the settings from the right sidebar for the field you’re wishing to edit.

Each SureForms’ field has its own customization options, allowing you to control exactly how a form appears and operates.

Connect the Form with the WordPress User System

So we have created a basic Registration Form. Now let’s connect the dots so your new form creates user accounts.

Go to the Form settings and look for User Registration in the sidebar.

Start User Mapping

Click on the User Registration, and a new settings window will appear. From there, click on Add New.

This sets up a direct link to your WordPress user database, so your form knows exactly how to create new user accounts with all the right details

Create a new User Registration Mapping

SureForms handles most of the setup for you, but you can double-check the settings and adjust them if you’d like.

Check out the User Registration Mapping settings and customize if needed

To get a detailed understanding of each field in the User Registration Mapping settings, check out our documentation on it.

Close the settings window to save any changes.

Pro tip: Turn on Auto Login so new users are logged in automatically after registering. Smooth!

Publish and Test Your New Sign Up Form

When you’re happy with your WordPress signup form, hit Publish.

Tip: Turn on the Instant Form option if you want to test it right away, or grab the shortcode from the Form option in the SureForms dashboard and drop it on any page or post.

You can then do the styling to customize form’s look as you want.

Your Custom User Registration Form in WordPress is ready!

Try signing up yourself, you’ll see how fast and seamless it feels. In fact, we strongly recommend doing that to test if everything works!

Redirect New Users Anywhere You Want (Optional)

If you’ve enabled auto-login on your registration form, you might also want to redirect users to a different page after they register instead of leaving them on the same page.

That’s easy!

  • Go back to the Form Editor
  • Select Form Confirmation in the sidebar
Redirect new users after registering
  • Change the confirmation type to Redirect
  • Select a page or paste a custom URL
Choose where to redirect

That’s it!

Make It Your Default Registration Page

Time to replace that boring WordPress sign up page for good.

Head back to your form dashboard:

  • Select Settings
  • Open the Login/Registration tab
  • Turn on Enable Custom Registration Page
  • Pick the page with your new form
Set the Custom Registration Page as your default

Now, whenever someone clicks register, they’ll see your Custom Registration Form instead!

You Did It!

See? We told you building a custom user registration form in WordPress really was quick and painless!

With SureForms’ Register and Login field, you can create a beautiful, functional sign up form in WordPress in just a few minutes.

No code, fully branded, works like a charm.

Ready To Level Up Your Site?

Try SureForms, test the Register and Login block and give your visitors the smooth sign-up experience they deserve.

Consider upgrading to SureForms Premium, which unlocks features like Digital Signatures, PDF Generation, Register & Login blocks, and lots of other powerful features, all designed to redefine what forms can do on your website.

Want to build a custom login page too? Keep an eye out, we have a guide for that as well!

Picture this. You spend days making your WordPress site look stunning and professional. But the moment someone hits “Log In,” they land on the plain old WordPress default login page.

It’s like decorating a beautiful café and asking guests to enter through the back alley. Not ideal, right?

A polished WordPress Custom Login Page keeps your users inside your brand, makes logging in feel seamless, and gives you full control over the experience.

In this beginner-friendly guide, we’ll show you how to create a Custom Login page in WordPress step by step using SureForms. No coding needed!!!

| Prefer watching instead of reading? Here’s a step-by-step video tutorial 👇

Why a Custom Login Page Matters

Your login page is often the first thing users see after buying something, signing up, or becoming a member.

If you’re using the standard WordPress login page, you’re missing a chance to strengthen your brand and make users feel secure.

  • A Custom Login Page makes your site look more polished and professional
  • It helps to build trust with users by keeping your brand style consistent throughout the website
  • Allows you to provide enhanced protection such as reCAPTCHA and customize the user interaction

Now, let’s dive into how to build one for yourself.

Let’s Build a Custom Login Page Together

Building a Custom Login Page using SureForms is quick, easy, and should take just a few minutes!

Step 1: Launch a New Form with SureForms

We’ll be using SureForms to build the login form, so if you haven’t installed and activated the plugin yet, go ahead and do that first. Just search for ‘SureForms’ from your WordPress dashboard, or download it directly from here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/sureforms/

A quick note: Some of the settings and blocks we’ll cover in this tutorial (like the login block) are part of the SureForms Business plan. If you don’t have the version yet, you can explore and get access to SureForms Business from here.

Now, let’s start!

From your WordPress dashboard, open SureForms and select Create New Form

Open SureForms and start creating a new form

Step 2: Choose How You Want To Build the Form

On the next page, you’ll find two options for building your form: Build With AI or Build From Scratch.

Choose Build From Scratch

For a custom user login form, we’ll choose the Build From Scratch option.

Step 3: Add the Login Block

After selecting Build From Scratch, you should now see the form editor.

Now, click the plus (+) icon in the top left of the editor to add a block.

Proceed to add a new block

Search for the Login block and drag and drop it into the form editor.

Drag & drop the Login block in the editor

Everything you need in a login page will be there. It’s really that simple!

check out the result...in just seconds

Step 4: Publish Your Custom Login Form

Once you’re happy, hit Publish.

Your WordPress Custom Login Form is ready to use. You can turn on the ‘Instant Form‘ option available in SureForms, from the top-right on your form editor and test the login form yourself.

publish the user login form

While the basic login form looks great, it may not look exactly how you want. Let’s tackle that next.

Let’s try some customization in terms of functionality and styling and get it ready for your users!

Step 5: Embed Your Login Form on a Page

As you know, you can make your form live instantly by enabling the Instant Form option in SureForms.

From Instant Form option, you can also add a background image, tweak the colors and fonts, and adjust the layout to match your site’s vibe.

embed the user login form wherever you want and customize the design

But, if you choose to embed the form in a page on you website, that’s easy too.

You can place the form anywhere on your site. Just go to the page where you want to add it and select the Form block.

search for the Form block

Click on it and select your login form from the dropdown menu.

choose the form you just created

Click Choose, and your form will appear on the page.

Customize the page style as you like, then hit Publish. Your custom WordPress login page is now live!

your WordPress custom login page is now ready!

Step 6: Redirect Users After Login (Optional)

Want users to land on a specific page after they log in? Easy!

In the form editor’s right sidebar, click Form Confirmation

redirect user after logging in

Switch the confirmation type to Redirect, then choose a page or add a custom URL.

choose where to redirect

Now your visitors go exactly where you want them after logging in.

Close the settings window and save the form to make the changes live.

Step 7: Add Anti Spam Protection (Optional)

If you want to protect your login form from spam and bots, you can take an extra step by adding reCAPTCHA or other human verification tools with SureForms.

Enabling reCAPTCHA adds an extra layer of security by ensuring that only real people can log in to your site. This helps prevent fake accounts, brute force attacks, and spam logins that could slow down your site or compromise your data.

To add reCAPTCHA to your login form, open your form editor.

From the right sidebar, go to Advanced, then find the Anti-Spam Settings section.

add a security check

Under Anti-Spam Settings, choose your preferred Security Type. Here, we’ll select Google reCAPTCHA.
