Welcome to TabTabTab. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our web application and services. By accessing or using TabTabTab, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Service Description
TabTabTab is a web-based productivity application that provides AI-powered assistance including:
- Document creation and editing with AI assistance
- Spreadsheet creation and manipulation
- File management and organization
- AI-powered analysis and workflow automation
2. Account Registration and Management
To use our service, you must create an account by:
- Providing accurate and complete information during registration
- Authenticating via Google OAuth or email/password
- Maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account credentials
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
3. Data Storage and Handling
How Your Data Is Stored
Backend Storage (Our Servers):
- Files are stored in a private Google Cloud Storage bucket
- Documents are stored in our TipTap backend
- Spreadsheets are stored in our database
This enables cross-browser access and efficient AI processing, similar to services like Google Drive.
Local Browser Storage:
- Chat message history and threads remain in your browser
- File snapshots and staging information stay local
- This data is not synced and will be lost if you switch browsers
4. Observability and Data Retention
- We retain observability logs for debugging and support (which may include your prompts, the agent’s tool calls and outcomes, and AI responses)
- This data is automatically deleted after 90 days
- Observability data is used solely for debugging, providing support, and service reliability
- We do not use this data for AI training or share it with third parties
- Access is limited to authorized team members (e.g. via support/observability tools such as Langfuse) when investigating issues
These observability logs do not include raw file contents (for example: PDFs, images, spreadsheets, or other uploaded file data).
5. AI Usage and Training Policy
Your Data Is Not Used for Training
- Our AI providers are contractually instructed not to train on your data
- TabTabTab does not use your data to train AI models
- Your files, documents, and conversations remain private
6. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree to use TabTabTab only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Use the service for any illegal, harmful, or unauthorized purposes
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers connected to the service
- Use the service to transmit malicious code, spam, or harmful content
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
- Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
7. Analytics
We use PostHog for analytics to understand usage patterns and improve the service:
- Navigation events (how you use the app)
- File upload events (not file content)
- Agentic request lifecycle events (start, stop, abort, complete)
- Error tracking for service improvement
We do not track the content of your files.
8. Intellectual Property Rights
TabTabTab and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of your data and content, while granting us a limited license to process it as necessary to provide our services.
9. Service Availability and Modifications
- We strive to maintain service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access
- We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time
- We will provide reasonable notice of material changes when possible
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
- Accuracy, reliability, or availability of the service
- That the service will be error-free or uninterrupted
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the service.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of another party.
13. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases, though provisions regarding liability and indemnification shall survive.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in courts of competent jurisdiction as determined by applicable law.
15. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the application. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
