Sex toy reviews that describe what a toy actually feels like

You already know the cycle.

You research a toy. You read the reviews. You buy it because twelve people called it life-changing. It arrives. You charge it. You try it.

And it's fine.

Not broken. Not terrible. Just... not what anyone described. The vibration sits on the surface when you needed it deeper. The shape presses wrong against the way you naturally hold it. The suction moves too fast for you to build anything with it. You adjust the angle. Try a different position. Give it another night, then another, because it was expensive and the reviews were so convincing.

Eventually it goes in the drawer with the others. And you're left with a question that never quite goes away: is this toy the problem, or am I?

Nothing is wrong with you. The reviews were just bad.

Not dishonest, necessarily. Just imprecise. They said a vibrator was "powerful" but never mentioned whether the power was buzzy and shallow or deep and resonant—and your body knows the difference even if the review never named it. They said it had "ten speeds" but didn't tell you the first three are barely perceptible and the jump from four to five skips right past the intensity you were looking for. They called a shape "ergonomic" because it curved, without asking whether that curve actually reaches where you need it to.

That gap between what a review describes and what a toy actually feels like—that's what this site exists to close.

Amie Dawson and Michael Sampson demonstrating sex toys in their nads and phones as app controls for the toys.

I'm Amie. Michael and I have tested over 200 toys, and we review them the way we wish someone had reviewed them for us. Not just whether a toy vibrates, but how. Not just whether it's strong, but where the strength lands. Not just whether I liked it, but who it's right for, who should skip it, and why.

What that precision looks like in practice:

When I describe a motor as buzzy, I mean the sensation stays at the surface of the skin and tends to go numb within minutes. When I call it rumbly, I mean you feel it deeper, through more tissue, and it builds instead of flattening out. That distinction matters more than any spec on the box. Most reviews never mention it.

When I say a toy is loud, I don't mean a decibel number. I mean the pitch is high enough that you're aware of it, and that awareness is enough to pull you out of your own head.

When I recommend something for beginners, I don't mean it's weak. I mean the shape is forgiving, the controls make sense on the first try, and it doesn't punish you for not already knowing exactly what you like.

Every review on this site works at that level. Because vague reviews cost real money and real frustration, and they leave people blaming themselves for a toy that was simply wrong for their body.
