Research Assistant Application
Culture, Health, and Development Lab (CHD Lab) at CSUN 
PI: Yolanda Vasquez-Salgado

Qualifications 
- Have an interest in culture, health and educational research
- Be enrolled as a current student at CSUN (sophomores and juniors strongly encouraged to apply)
- OR be a recent B.A. or M.A. graduate of CSUN (and not enrolled in a graduate program)
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher
- Able to commit to the lab for at least one-year 

Responsibilities 
- Required to attend bi-weekly lab meetings throughout the 2026-2027 academic year
- Minimum commitment of 7 to 8 hours a week
- You will receive research training
- Learn your way around a laboratory setting
- Conduct literature searches and reviews 
- Communicate with research participants
- Collect and manage research data (e.g., survey, interview, salivary biomarkers of health)
- Assist with entering, coding and analyzing data
- Assist with writing summaries of research findings via abstracts, posters or manuscripts
- Collaborate with lab members on projects
