Build Your First XR Meta App From Scratch (Workshop)
Come and join the Georgia Tech Extended Reality Student Org (GTXR) team sponsored by Meta and learn how to create your first XR App from scratch! No prior experience is necessary, but having some knowledge about Object Oriented Programming would be helpful. We will guide you in building a Virtual Reality Space Simulator Application for Meta Quest Headset using Unity3D and C#. Don't worry if you don't know either of them as we will provide step-by-step instructions. Before we begin, please make sure you have installed the specific version of Unity (2021.3.—) and have pulled the starter project from our GitHub Repository . We will update both of these resources here soon.

Prototyping in Virtual Reality by ZenVR
Often times we find that designing and prototyping for Virtual Reality is difficult as there's no industry standard Adobe tool for 3D mockups. This short talk will provide an overview of various design and prototyping tools and techniques for VR. The talk will cover general prototyping philosophy and share specific methods and examples for conveying your ideas without needing to make a full and functional Unity prototype. Attendees will learn about software tools used for prototyping ideas, 3D models, and environments, as well as VR-specific interactions. The importance of user-centered design and prototyping will also be discussed, enabling designers to test and refine their ideas quickly and efficiently. By the end of the lecture, attendees will have a toolbelt full of approaches that they can apply at this weekend's hackathon and whatever projects they approach in the future.
