Open Hours: 9:00am - 4:00pm
Tucked away at the end of a long road, on the outskirts of Dallas, lies an oasis of North Texas nature. Trinity River Audubon Center, built in 2008 on reclaimed land that was once an illegal dumping ground, is now a 120-acre haven for a vast array of birds and other wildlife in an increasingly urbanized metropolitan area. Nestled into the landscape, our visitor center, designed by visionary architect Antoine Predock and certified LEED Gold, serves as an interactive community gathering space and hub for conservation education, research and action. Outside, nearly five miles of nature trails invite visitors to explore and engage with the surrounding environment, now transformed from a liability into a public asset.
